I've dealt with Protek Supplies a few times over the years and every time they have l delivered a perfect transaction and an excellent service. They do not make any promises with deliveries over the Christmas period and yet seem to accomplish what they don't promise. Twice over two Christmas periods I was told my order wouldn't be ready for Christmas and on both occasions actually were. So, people, if you're unsure about Protek Supplies let tell you they are a great concern and long may they continue.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with your Royal Exterior. It's application and coveridge is excellent, I especially love the colour chosen Midnight Blue as it is a joy to behold quite beautiful in fact. Am very impressed. I shall now be using Protek for my future wood endeavours.

We used Protek wood stain a number of years ago in our previous garden and decided to use on a new project in our new home. Vey pleased once again with wood stain and service provided by both Protek and firm they use for delivery..
We started the work on Saturday and as we were not sure we would have enough we ordered an additional 5 litres on Monday morning - it arrived on Tuesday morning via DX Express - when you consider Protek are based in Somerset and we live in Cheshire It is only right that both Protek and DX Express receive the praise they deserve.

We ordered 2 sample pots of the fence and shed stain first to see what colour we wanted and they were delivered in a couple of days. Once the colour was decided we ordered 2 x 25 litres of larch fence & shed and again this was delivered very promptly. We have done the shed and are delighted with the quality of the product, it covered so well that a 2nd coat is not required. It went on easily and the finish is excellent and we are looking forward to doing a large area of fencing in due course. This product was recommended by the company we bought the shed from and we would certainly recommend it ourselves.

Protek paint is strongly recommended by the supplier of a new shed that I bought so I decided to use it having never heard of the firm. It is also nice to support a British business too. The telephone help was professional and comprehensive in terms of quantity, coats etc. I was suggested to use Royal Exterior; three samples I ordered came quickly and I selected Golden Oak colour. I ordered a bit more then they recommended but they had estimated correctly, still good to have an extra 2.5 litres for refreshing it. The paint came in a matter of days. I do like it, it felt thicker, and applied better than a previous well known fence / shed paint I had used years ago. I really like the colour and appearance of the shed. Again more so than that which I had used a few years ago with a similar colour designation. So overall, from my perspective, this feels like high quality paint, great service, lovely finish.

I ordered two tins online of the wood stain and protector, a 5l sage green for my shed and a small tin of light grey for a potting bench. The potting bench was untreated wood as it was not intended for outside, and I think this may have contributed to it really drinking the paint in! I lost count of the number of coats but I’m really happy with the final colour and finish. As for the shed, I’m still in the middle of painting but the bits I have done seem to have a good solid colour on 2 coats although I may do a 3rd. It seems quite watery and I’ve noticed that it seems to splash a fair bit despite my attempts to be careful, I suppose it would be perfect for a sprayer but I’m doing it the old fashioned way with a brush!
Overall I’m really happy with the product and colours and the delivery was super quick.

The website claims orders will be with you in 1-3 working days. Ordered last Monday at around 11am. I have now waiting 6 working days and it’s not even despatched. It’s annoying because they taken payment well before despatch. I’m just disappointed and it’s not the first time (sent me the wrong item before). It’s now delayed me finishing my project.

Purchased Protek Royal Interior wood finish to refresh a french oak buffet. I had stripped it of its walnut finish several years ago but sadly could never harmonise the resulting original oak colour and there was a lot of greying to the wood. However now, after two coats of Golden Oak finish the buffet is again a thing of beauty with a lovely silky lustre, even colour and the grey banished .... and it was so easy to apply with a brush. I had wondered how a 1 litre tin of liquid could be transported safely but should have had no worries - the packaging was over and above my expectations and the tin arrived with no damage or leaks whatsoever. The delivery was made on the day stipulated. I'm now looking around the house in search of other projects which need this wonderful product.

Good service. The paint tin was damaged by the courier so there was a small leakage. Protek resolved the issue quickly without fuss.

About 6 years ago I purchased a log shed from a company I won't repeat as they were so abysmal in supply and their customer service regarding missing parts, means I will never buy anything from them again. However, one of the things I did buy from them as a addon was cornflower woodstain and protector. I was sent two 5 ltr tubs and used only one on the outside and chose to do the inside differently. The spare tub of stain sat in my shed for years. Nov 2019 I purchased a New Shed/Summerhouse :-) and decided I would like the same cornflower stain again. I found the spare tub of stain and established it was from Protek, went to their website and eventually bought a 25ltr tub (Jan 2020) which through discounts & vouchers I got for an amazing price. I figured the new shed would need a few coats, and of course the old shed would need re-painting, although it still looked pretty good after 6 years.

Due to Covid and crappy weather, It's took a while to build my shed (summerhouse) and eventually last week the final job, I started the painting. I opened the old tub expecting it to be done for, however surprised a good stir and it was ready for the sprayer, and used it for the first coat very successfully. Unfortunately, even though I had stored the new 25ltr tub in the house to avoid frost etc, it had separated and no matter how much I tried to mix it, it wouldn't mix. I was quite dissapointed, I wanted the same shade cornflower blue colour for my New Shed as the old one. Anyway, I contacted Protek, and they got back to me the following morning, and informed me that the batch number showed the stain was an OK product, however they would send me another tub to arrive the following day, As it was a bank holiday weekend, it didn't arrive until today (Tuesday). I have never had such good service in all of my 60 years as this company. They were brillient, and no I can continue (although a little delayed) to get my new shed/man cave/summerhouse finished! Thanks Protek for a wonderful Customer Service, I wish they all could be like yours. :-)

A good company to deal with,I've tried the woodstain,and there stains are a joy to work with,really loving colours,the violet 💜 is my favourite,there stains are the best on the market,I've also used their decking stain,and again it's a joy to work with,only moan is the size of the tins 2.5L or 25L,your other stains you do in 5L,i know your decking stains goes a long way but not quite far enough,so I've had to buy 2x 2.5L,but as far as there products go,its really good,the rain just sits on top of the deck

I rang Protek Wood Stains and Paints with a query and was delighted with the help and advice given by Darren one of their Sales Advisors. He answered all my questions relating to the correct quantity and type of paint to purchase for my new summerhouse. Darren was very knowledgable, cheery, and most helpful. He gave me confidence that I was buying a good product to protect and care for my new summerhouse and they have a super range of colours to choose from.

Incredibly helpful, professional and knowledgeable on their products. Ordered 3 tester pots and then will decide and place the proper order.

18 days for delivery is an absolute joke. Ordered a tin of paint on 14th June, they didn't even dispatch it until the 1st of July.
