Having brought the car there was no follow up - they pocketed the money and didnt look back. The engine light came on within the first two week but due to family hospitalisation it took a month to get it booked in to look at. I had brought the extended warranty so felt 'safe' only to find that the car needs a new catalytic converter that isnt covered by the warranty. Feel like I have been completely conned and am just devastated that sales people are so cold and calculating. I had saved up for ages for this car and now I have to work out where I find the money to get it fixed.

Laura was very helpful throughout the whole process and explained each step thoroughly for us making the purchase a smooth process. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to purchase a new car!

I brought a cheap run around (Vauxhall Astra) for £10k in October. The car was put up for sale before being ready for sale and I collected knowing that the front badge/grill needed replacing as did the media screen. It was agreed that I would take it back in once the media screen arrived - no drama you’d think! In the mean time I discovered no manual/ service history was with the car so I have no record of service history when I want to sell it, the tyre inflation kits was missing and the battery died on the first cold snap in November (leaving me stranded in minus conditions after night fishing). I discovered an active tracking device still attached to the battery at this point! Contacted Powerlease and they said they would replace the tyre kit/battery however didn’t have the manual and didn’t really take any ownership around the tracking device - simply saying they can’t check everything on their cars….worrying.

Took the car back in, there had back a lot of back and forth about about the media screen - a supplier letting them down. They were going to do the other bits and take it to Vauxhall as they thought a software update might fix it. Took the car over, got a courtesy car for 2 days which kept getting stuck in reverse but it was ok as I was should the technique to wiggle it into neutral! Experience still mildly amusing at this point.

Other bits sorted however the software fix didn’t work so they were going to source the screen.

Waited and waited, heard nothing.

Around March time contacted them, the screen had been in with them for a while but apparently a mix up meant I wasn’t contacted or maybe it was my responsibility?

Multiple calls (6+) followed to try to get it booked in. Patience and tolerance at this point were tested and situation was no longer funny/any way acceptable.

Ended up speaking to Tom the director, told him the whole experience and asked for a free service to make up for the series of issues and poor customer service. His response was we can’t do that because of ‘the system’ not being able to record it. I suspect the real reason is money.

Got the screen replaced while I waited and worked in the sales room. A very awkward experience having to conduct teams meetings with a bunch of 20 something car sales persons present. Really had to keep my head down and focus on not loosing it.

Sure these guys sell lots of sound cars, but it you have an issue be warned.

Tom I would personally ask you to consider my experience and whether my request for a free service was reasonable?

I will be ensuring I share my experience with as many people as I know and recommending to avoid this company.

Recently purchased a car from power lease. Found the car cheaper than the market value. When the car first came in there was understandably a couple of snags. These were promptly sorted without any fuss. Car was in excellent condition upon collection. I dealt with Brandon who kept me updated when needed. On final collection I dealt with Daniel who was equally professional and reassuring. 5 star for everyone I had dealings with. Jamie

Not buying a £20,000 car very often in my life, I was a bit apprehensive when I contacted Powerlease. I spoke to a young man named Jack who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the car I was interested in.

I arranged to see the car and was very happy with what I saw, there were a few things that needed doing on the car which Jack said he would take care of. I paid my 10% deposit (which apparently some people online seem to object to being asked to do), which is reasonable to expect to pay for an expensive item and went away.

I collected the car 10 days later, a bit worried that they'd do all the things they said they would... but when I saw the car it was beautiful, not only had they done everything they said they would but they had also fitted new disc and pads (on a 2016 BMW X1 that's not cheap). I've now got the car home and I'm absolutely delighted with it.

I can only say that the experience was a pleasure from start to finish, Powerlease have been in business for around 20 years (can't remember exact number) but you don't survive in the car business for that length of time without doing something right... and I think these guys do an awful lot right.

Don't be taken in by the small number of negative reviews you might see online, as having been in business myself for over 35 years, there are some winging people who you just can't please, no matter what you do, they'll always find something to moan about.

If you're thinking about buying a car from Powerlease, then genuinely give them a try, they're professional, knowledgeable and are very fair, I'd use them again and highly recommend them.

Overall my experience was pleasant. The person dealing with my sale was Jack Hart who was professional and informative, guiding me through the procedure to a positive and satisfactory conclusion of business.

How can dealers like this can survive in the market.
with a rude and arrogant attitude from their staff.
Very much disappointed because of rude and arrogant attitude. We feel like we are gone to beg from them, not to enquire about the cars and feature, this is how we were treated when we went to ask for car and details. We changed our mind not to buy from them due to this and hence why I personally appeal from bottom of my heart not to bother with this dealer.

Claiming they are the best in the industry since 20 years which is absolute nonsense because the graph of poor reviews in trust pilot proves that how long more you will be able to survive in the market with such disgusting attitude towards your customers.

This is a genuine warning to not give this company your business. Purchased a car then told we have to wait 6 weeks. Tried phoning for days on end but got no answer after putting down £500 deposit. Useless and unprofessional. Avoid these cowboys!!

They failed to answer why they didn’t answer the phone for 3 days!!! Cowboys . Do not give these con men a penny!

Couldn't have had a better experience buying a car! Tom Cullen helped me along the way, sending videos and even going into finding and helping sort it's service plans, he was there every step of the way!

Collecting the car couldn't be easier, reserved online, they send videos and sorted any questions I had, i went down to see them and within half an hour I had traded my old car in and was away in my new one, very covid safe and pleasant to deal with, would highly recommend them!!

Bought my Volkswagen Polo from them recently. Great customer service and communication throughout purchase. Cannot fault them and would use them again for my next car. Highly recommend.

They do get very busy, so I’d definitely recommend booking an appointment! So lucky they managed to fit me in!

We purchased a Nissan Qashqai around 5 months back now, no issues with it whatsoever. A smooth, quick, transparent and extremely easy buying process. Credit to Craig and the team, Tom was especially helpful with any questions and queries we had, would highly recommend. Bought a BMW from Powerlease in December and found the customer service to be good. The car has been great and haven't had any issues with it after 3 months of ownership.

I had to buy the car using their click & collect service, which wasn't through choice but a necessity under the Covid restrictions in place at the time. I wasn't able to go and view the car beforehand for this reason but was offered a whatsapp video call viewing instead. This couldn't take place for a day or so as they were very busy at the time, however I decided to go ahead with the purchase anyway feeling comfortable that I could return it within 14 days under distance selling regulations if necessary. I did head over when they were closed to take a sneak peek at it on the forecourt through the fence.

The car was very competitively priced and I'm extremely happy with the deal that I got. I had been tracking the price of that particular model for a few months and it was the best price I had seen from a dealer.

The reason why I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because it wasn't disclosed to me that it only had 1 key until after I had paid in full and arrived to collect the car. A lesson learned for myself for not asking, but perhaps this should have also been mentioned to me by Powerlease.

That said, I would happily use Powerlease again for my next car purchase.

This is why people go to available car and Arnold clark, cause they get rubbish service from an independent business and never want to go back.
