I would not recommend perfect pet. They rejected a claim due to a simple typo on the vets notes. Vet confirmed it was incorrect. But rather than speaking to me I had to escalate the complaint. The person looking at my complaint advised they should have spoken to me as I know my dog. Claim then went in my favour after waiting 6 months later. My dog had a second op, they will do a pre approval even though they say they can’t!
Awful unreliable insurance company. They do not have their customers or pets care in mind, just find any excuse to reject claims.
If you’ve got a good quote there’s a reason why! Buy cheap pay at least twice with this company.

Jake was great at explaining the difference in insurance and the extra help that perfect pet offer like the ‘111’ type telephone line , the cost is still a little higher than I would want however after listening to all the explanations it made sense to stay with perfect pet

I contacted Perfect Pet Insurance to discuss my renewal premium and was genuinely impressed with the service I received.

They responded to my email almost immediately and then took the time to give me a call. Not only was I able to get a reduction in my premium, but the person I spoke to was absolutely lovely and took the time to explain why premiums have been increasing.

It was so refreshing to speak to a real person (Flora) who was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, rather than just being given a standard response.

A really positive customer service experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

Jake gave indepth clear information explaining the differences in the cover Perfect Pet can provide opposed to other insurance companies and how this is reflected in the price. This helped us make an informed decision about the best type of cover for our pet.

first let me start by saying you are luck to be getting 1 star and that is becuase i am not allowed to leave none. Now where do I begin my dog had to be put down and this company is a joke telling me you can only claim £100 for fluids and you cant claim for placement needle (drip), well sorry my dog had an IVDD and needed fluids to get her out of pain and to help her breath and sorry her had to do this by being put on a drip. This is one of the worst thing I had had to go through and this company is only making the matter worst by not paying me out and to top it all off telling me I still have to keep the policy open till the year is up. PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT GET YOU PET INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY. I would like to add also I am always chasing this company for updates and they do not want to help you one bit. all this company cares about is taking your money please people again do not use the company. sorry had to edit this as just been told today 15th Oct 2026 that is my dog was was not dying they would not have paid the £100 for the fluids. as fluids are not covered and it is only covered for £100 if pet is needed of life saving and can not be over the year of 8 years. please people do not use this company. Also just been told they only pay £100 towards your pet staying in a hospital they will not pay anymore then that. They have also take the policy money for the next 6 months out the the cliam which i think is a joke my dog was put to sleep the policy should be cancelled and no money should be owned.

“Elite Extra” coverage is an absolute scam, and they will use any T&Cs methods available to squirm out of not paying your full vet bills. We were offered 70% of bills, despite being told before the vet procedures “don’t worry, it’s all covered”.

Cowboy insurers needs to be run out of town - do not give them your money.

Spoke to Jake re the annual renewal of my policy. He was very knowledgeable and fully explained the differences between my existing Perfect Pet policy and the quote I had received from an alternative provider. Very personal service from someone who took an interest in keeping my custom

The lady was very helpful, clear and understanding.

Flora was warm, friendly & understanding. She went out of her way to understand my needs, navigate through some tricky questions & details I’d forgotten and worked hard to come up with solutions. Her manner, thoughtfulness, professionalism & the service she gave were excellent! Thank you!
