I’ve not had to claim with perfect pet insurance as thankfully my dog has had no issues so far.

But their customer service is great! Jake from perfect pet seems to be knowledgeable and very helpful answering any questions.

Updating my details/policy was done very quickly and efficiently

Jake was very helpful and patient when dealing with my policy payment issue. He even made the effort to call back when, after our call, he discovered what had probably caused the confusion. His manner was pleasant and helpful. A positive experience.

Perfect Pet have been by far the best pet insurer in the almost 10 years we have taken out insurance for our two dogs.

Calls to members of the team have been easy and fuss-free, with none of the classic "salesman" tactics tried on us to try and get us to upgrade our plan or pay for a policy we don't technically need. Even when cancelling our policy (which was no longer needed), the lady we spoke to was friendly, personable and just lovely.

Honest service throughout. Would highly recommend!

On Thursday last week I was told that I had to continue paying my monthly premiums until summer 2027 despite my dog passing away 4 weeks ago, which in itself is absolutely disgraceful, however the attitude and level of empathy from the lady I spoke to on the phone was as far from empathetic as it could be!

She advised I would receive a call the following day to discuss the policy, between 4-5pm… no prizes for guessing that NO ONE CALLED ME!

After leaving a review on Trustpilot, more information was requested by Perfect Pets in a “copy and paste” templated message that they send to everyone… the info was provided, guess what… NO ONE HAS BEEN IN TOUCH and it is now Wednesday, 5 days later!

You managed to reply to my review within 2 hours but when it comes to dealing with a complaint and issues… silence…

This is absolutely disgraceful customer service.

If anyone is considering using this insurer, PLEASE DO NOT!

They do not pay out anywhere near the value of the claim and there are so many exclusions.

My Freddie was prescribed medication to slow down his dementia - Perfect Pets refused to pay for it as they said it was “a supplement”.
They also don’t pay the actual cost of the medication as “they don’t think it is worth that much” despite that being what the vet charges.
They wouldn’t cover an emergency out of hours vet visit when my other Frenchie hurt his back and couldn’t walk as “it wasn’t life threatening” instead they would rather see him in agony for 72 hours over the weekend because it would have been cheaper!

I would have rated you ZERO stars if it was an option!

WHY WOULD ANY INSURER STILL CHARGE YOU FOR A PET THAT HAS PASSED AWAY, JUST BECAUSE THEY PAID OUT FOR A CLAIM?

If I crashed my car and it was written off, my insurer would pay out, BUT I WOULD NOT NEED TO KEEP PAYING THE PREMIUMS!!!

Scam insurers - DO NOT USE may be cheaper but high annual increases, maximums allowed for treatment/vet visits and prescriptions so on top of the excess you are aware of they apply their own excess to reduce payouts by 50% so you would be better off using +etplan or putting money aside than use this set of fraudsters.

was quite rude and dismissive. said i would receive an email saying my policy has renewed but i haven’t so going to have to ring again. spoke to someone earlier called sophie who was much more helpful

Robyn was very helpful and prompt with my query regarding my claim. My only issue when calling Perfect Pets is the length of time on hold waiting to speak to someone!

Flora was really helpful in assisting with my request. She explained all the options clearly, made some good suggestions as to a way forward and had a really great phone manner.
Given the problems I had with the claim teams previously this year, Flora went a long way to repairing that trust. Thanks Flora.

Polly was amazing. My Vet has been struggling to correctly send my claim form through and because I’m on holiday the lovely Polly offered to contact my Vet herself and sort the matter out. This is outstanding customer service. Thank you Polly!
