Received my Lenovo X13 Gen 2 a week ago. Considering the insane price of everything now, this feels like a real steal. Aside from a couple of loose screws on the base and the fact that Bluetooth was disabled in the BIOS, laptop was clean and tidy, purple vinyl on the lid looks great, and it runs so well and so much faster than the one I was upgrading from!

Ordered a laptop just over three weeks ago and still have no firm dispatch date. This was my first time ordering from a refurbished laptop company, and my first time using PC Renewed specifically, so it's not been the best first impression.

I've emailed multiple times chasing updates. To their credit, they did respond and explained there were quality testing issues, which I understand — these things happen.

However, that was two weeks ago, and despite chasing again since, I've had no further update on when it will actually be dispatched. My last reply from them was a week ago, and again, no dispatch date included.

They have offered a goodwill gesture (extended warranty and a partial refund), which I appreciate, but honestly, I'd rather just receive the laptop I ordered. Three weeks with no clear timeline and a rolling dispatch estimate is a long time to be left waiting, especially when every update has come only after I've had to chase it myself.

One star for the responsiveness and the goodwill gesture — but communication needs to be proactive, not reactive, and at this point I just want my order. As a first experience with refurbished laptops, this hasn't given me much confidence.

Update: I’ve now received the laptop, so I’m happy to say that it’s finally here! 😅

I’ve had a good look over it and have been using it, and so far everything seems to be working perfectly. There don’t appear to be any issues with the laptop itself, which is obviously the main thing.

I still stand by my original comments about the delay and communication. The lack of a firm dispatch date was frustrating, especially as I had to chase for updates, but I do appreciate that they explained the quality testing issues and offered a goodwill gesture.

Overall, I’m glad I stuck with the order and, now that I’ve actually received the laptop and everything seems good so far, I’m feeling much more positive about PC Renewed. Hopefully it continues to be as reliable as it seems!

I had never bought a refurbed laptop online before and was a little nervous about the process. Joey in Customer Service talked me through the whole process and answered my many questions fully. I ordered it on Thursday and it was with me by Monday, fantastic service. So far I have no complaints at all and it all seems to be working fine.
It was Joey's service that was the clincher for me: he was helpful, professional, kind and maintained a sense of humour, all from an office without aircon on the hottest day of the year. A big thank you to Joey!

I recently contacted PCRenewed regarding a battery performance issue, and Joey provided outstanding and highly efficient support throughout. He ensured the laptop was promptly repaired and returned with Windows 10 installed exactly as requested.

I purchased the laptop in September 2025 and have had a very positive overall experience with the company. On one occasion, there was a delay in delivery; however, Joey personally handled the situation and went above and beyond by upgrading the RAM to 64GB and extending the warranty to two years at no additional cost.

I phoned pcrenewed to ask if my selected computer could be upgraded to 32mb Ram, (I had apparently been put through to the technical department as there was no one available on sales). I was told that shouldn’t be a problem and that I could, as requested pay by credit card, however the boss would send me a payment link but he was off to a meeting. No link arrived that or the following day. Phoned the next day and found myself speaking to the same person named Craig, who was now on sales, I was told it would get sorted and likely posted out the next day. No link turned up so I phoned again and got Craig on the end of the phone again, the boss was at another meeting at eBay this time, Craig put me on hold to speak to someone and came back to tell me there was a problem with the computer and there were no more of that model in stock. I told him I would go elsewhere. Considering the good reviews for pcrenewed I felt the service was very poor. No one on sales, the boss always at a meeting and Craig jumping from the technical dept to sales to cover it would seem. I wonder if pcrenewed have found themselves struggling recently?

Spoke to Joey at Customer Service today about my order, and not only did he advise me about my ordered product but he gave me advice on set up, and options to choose a more scalable model. I really appreciated his candour, attitude and customer focus. Well done Joey and PC renewed. I'd recommend them to my friends, family and neighbours.

Ordered a thinkpad from PC Renewed a month ago and so far its running great.

Item turned up in great condition (well packed,) clean and running well with no issues at all. Ive installed all programs Ive needed with no trouble, and had quick responses from the team about order updates as they went on. They also shared information about the stages of the renewal in the emails which I appreciated.

I would recommend them, and will certainly use again if there was ever a need.

Absolutely over the moon. Fantastic price and my surface pro looks and works like it was brand new. Only 36 cycles on the battery.

I ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad L14 Gen 1 in late January. Although it was a gift for me, I chose and ordered what I wanted. Initially looked on eBay and contacted a seller, I was expecting a half-response but Joey got back to me promptly with an answer and I was allowed to delay the order. Joey also answered my various other silly questions and I ended up ordering from their website in the end as I prefer to go direct if I can.

The options to spec it etc were great and I requested a unit with >80% battery life which I duly got. The 2-year warranty is also a great touch (the additional year is extra cost) as well. I had a bit of an issue with choosing and ordering RAM but after sending photos of a RAM stick I'd purchased, Joey said that they would ship it with the same 16GB RAM module, so I now have 32GB!

The laptop itself was in almost perfect condition; you would not be able to tell that it is not new from looking at it. Very slight mark/scuff on the bottom but to be expected with used laptops. I believe they wrap the outside in vinyl wrap and this makes it look brand new. Everything worked perfectly and this range of ThinkPads are lovely machines. I am dual-booting OSs and this works very well on the ThinkPad.

I had a very minor issue in that I ordered a blue lid but it was shipped with the standard black. On contacting pcrenewed this was quickly sorted and a blue template of the wrap was sent the next day, although I think I will keep the black now!

Absolutely top service from start to finish. I have experienced so much awful service over the years and the refurb market can have its pitfalls but pc renewed were excellent and deserve credit. Would 100% reccommend.

Short story - good communication, great value, excellent warranty (I've not had to use that but my feeling is they will stand behind it). Delivery is pretty slow - expect a week or so - but if you're not in a rush it's worth the wait.

Long story - I've bought a couple of old ThinkPads from these folks. One had their standard windows install and vinyl wrap - it was great, no complaints, but the wrap was very slightly annoying to me (it's really not obvious that it's wrapped at all except the edges feel a bit sharp).

For the second purchase I asked that they not add the wrap, and also not bother with Windows as I was installing Linux. The were able to provide a machine to that spec no problem.

I'd deffo buy from them again.

This afternoon I took delivery of a Lenovo Thinkpad L14 G2 with i5-1145g7 CPU but with ssd upgraded from 256GB to 1TB and RAM also raised from 16 to 32GB. They also made sure the BIOS/UEFI was as up to date as possible; fantastic service, making me feel a valued customer.
After several discussions with PC-R sales personnel, particularly Joey and Paul, I also did not have the usual Windows 11 installed but had a totally clean 1TB ssd on which I have this evening installed Linux-Mint-22.3, having been a Linux user for 21 years. I was aware before I bought this machine that it is one of the Ubuntu Certified laptops so there was little likelihood of any real difficulties; that turned out to be even better than I expected
What a fantastic combination they have turned out to be!
The Laptop appears to be completely new, runs better and much faster than I had anticipated and I am simply stunned at the ease and speed of this whole purchase.
I had bought a refurbished laptop before but from another UK company which was very good but they could not, or would not, sell a laptop without an OS so i came to PCR instead.
Real 5 star service for which I'm incredibly grateful.
If I need any more computer hardware I am certain where I shall look first!

Did my research using Claude.ai before committing to a refurbished laptop, and PCRenewed came out on top. Glad I went with it.

I cannot thank Joey and Lewis (Hamilton?) enough for the online help they gave me today salvaging my highly valued Microsoft Office apps and importantly 'Publisher' for offline (lifetime licence) use in advance of Microsoft dumping Publisher in October 2026.

I live outside the UK and had problems with their website accepting my order for a laptop. I phoned customer support and was greeted by a guy called 'Joey'. I explained my issues.
He took ownership of the problem, and said he'd call me back in 10 mins.
True to his word, he called having found the best solution.
Only a week later the laptop arrived with all the requested BIOS settings.
As for the laptop, the condition was indisguishable from new. I thoroughly checked every aspect of the hardware, it's performance and tested various operating systems.
Everything is perfect! A big thank you to PCrenewed.co.uk. In a world of 'chatbots', LLM's posing as intelligence, etc, We need more 'Joey's', Thanks dude!

I bought a laptop from PC Renewed back in August and had a small issue with the charging port. I wasn’t sure where I stood with customer service, so I reached out—half expecting a long process. Instead, within a couple of days they sent me a brand-new charger!

I thanked them but mentioned the connection was still a bit wobbly. To my surprise, they emailed again offering a simple repair, a returns label, and to sort it all out for me. Honestly—wow.

Their customer service has been fast, friendly, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. I’m really impressed and incredibly happy with the support I’ve received. PC Renewed has definitely earned a glowing five stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very accommodating, willing to supply a laptop without Windows and with a BIOS that will boot from a USB drive straight out of the box. A good price and the computer looks like new - about £100 cheaper than another refurbisher who insisted they install Windows. Quickly set my mind at rest over a very minor communications glitch. To explain, I use a Linux operating system, so have to install it myself from USB

I recently bought a Lenovo Thinkpad from PC Renewed, and after feeling hesitant about buying refurbished, I absolutely needn't have worried. I am so pleased with my laptop, it is as good as new! Had an excellent experience with pcrenewed.
Having ordered the wrong pc in the first instance, they found me a replacement that was more to my liking, which wasn't easy to do.
Now have a laptop which does exactly what I wanted and looks like new.
