Saving and printing pdfs
I have received emails from pkb , some with enclosed pdfs; These have been impossible to save or print.
Right-click-save-as does not work - it doesn't give me the option.
I pointed this out days ago. The problem remains.

Needed to check if genuine site & email.
Received an email from this site with no idea whether it was genuine or fake. I had to google the site to check it out. Yes, it looks genuine, but I consider this very poor practice to receive something out of the blue when there are so many scams around. It's a waste of time for a start but even when I looked to see if genuine I looked at the Trust pilot reviews & it seems it's to do with hospitals, not GP, so is almost useless overall. I might register but don't know if it's worth the time. I suppose I was sent the email as I was recently referred to a service and will be on a waiting list, but I should have had official notice first so I knew it was genuine.

I was sent an e:Mail stating your record has been updated, when I looked into it the last record was from 8th April 2024 and not recent. Who sent the e:Mail was not known and I do not know how I can find out who did. Had a very quick reply back from the people who look after the software and of cause they could not help

Unintelligable - Worse than no Information
Been getting text and emails saying that 'my record has been updated' but when I access the system the information presented is unintelligible, absolutely meaningless to the patient - in fact it is worse than no information at all because it hints that there are results but they are not going to tell you what they are.
The system is a disgrace - the fact that anyone thought that reporting critical information to patients in such a manner was acceptable is absolutely disgusting.
Disgraceful service, they should hang their heads in shame.

It is useful to be able to go in and…
It is useful to be able to go in and check my blood test results. But not all my clinics in different hospitals use this particular portal. And even in hospitals that do use it, not all departments use it to share results the heart scans. Plus I keep getting messages that something has chzz as need in my record but when I log in, it isn’t at all clear what. So I have to check everywhere to see if I can spot a change. In all, should make life a lot easier but is so variable it doesn’t.
PKB's response was simple to confirm that I will get notified if ANYTHING however minor changes, but not what - and ignored totally my suggestion of how this could be improved.

You can not access the information when you need it most. more importantly you can't rectify wrong information held about you which is life threatening.
Having been fobbed off with sore throat treatment, I have spent several days in hospital with recurring anaphylactic reactions to something with the potential to kill me.. how can my life be held to ransom by an app and a receptionist, whilst I am great full for A&E keeping me alive what has this country become when life threatening false information cannot be changed.. thank you for your reply putting me back to the NHS. This is the main problem. When you have a 15 min life threatening illness the last thing you need is two organisations passing the the blame to each other. Whilst in hospital not one person from nurse to IT specialist could access the app. .. when still under a 15 min life expectancy from an unknown trigger the receptionist spent 10 minutes trying to tell me it's mine or your fault the app cannot be accessed before changing something that allowed limited access. I still can not access the urgent information post sent to me via the app. Again I ask how can it be that some peoples lives can be held to ransom by an app. Simply put..the message sent to me by your app cannot be received via you app.

Unnecessary stress. Delayed results can be better communicated.
It works, but for certain sensitive blood tests like HIV where the patient has to wait 30-days with random ascension numbers displayed can cause unnecessary uncertainty and stress, especially when all other test results show up.
Got sensitive blood test results after 1 month of anxiously waiting. All other blood tests were displayed on PKB within 24-48hrs so that's good.
The system lacks language and indicators that better explain the delayed results to ease patients. Having the delay and multiple ascension numbers can be easily misinterpreted by a patient especially if they do a quick Google search. Delayed reporting is often associated with something a doctor needs to explain to a patient directly.
The PKB team should discuss internally on how to best present the delayed test result notifications. Other negative reviews also express similar dissatisfaction on this issue.

App is brilliant so why am I not giving it 5 stars? Did a test the other day and usually the result comes up but today:

Now as someone who suffers with health anxiety, this is appalling. It may be the lab asking for it but PKB should not allow it! I am now worrying I potentially have a serious disease when it may be nothing?! What a brilliant app, let down by something so silly. If it is negative then I understand a comment but putting a date a month away with no note is not great. Shame as the way it shows bloods history etc. is outstanding.

This is a rubbish service I have been waiting 10 days for my blood results and if/ when I get them they don’t report on all the bloods. Patient view was so much better - Oxford have a great system as well much more reliable and informative.

3 Stars as improving but could do better
3 Stars as Patients Knows Best has improved but could still work and load better.
Main improvements are felt in the desktop version, but mobile access does not work as well.
Both are still a bit of a faff in comparison to the predecessor PatientView but at least a move in the right direction especially with the relatively recent improvements to the Test Results screen.

Complete waste of time
Complete waste of time. No useful info on there at all that you can't find on the NHS App. Protracted setup but even worse NO clear way to remove it. As far as I can see you have to contact them (somehow) and then hopefully they'll do it for you. And there was I thinking this was the 21st century! 🙄

Missed numerous appointments in the space of 10 year period..
Reported & diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2014! Nothing never happened. Left to try find my appointments!! Finally did last year 2023:( well done PKB
All through this PKB.. docs sending referrals to hospital & never received a letter about it always went to the app (I was never notified) now getting treated in hospital my Crohn's disease has gotten so bad now!!

Tried to log using my normal…
Tried to log using my normal password.Failed. Tried to change password and waited waited waited & nothing happened for 20 minutes. Deleted all references to PKB. Complete waste of time they need to update their systems

This App is impossible for me to access and reset password, I have never been able to use it its to difficult to work out ,Its a waste of NHS money and needs scrapping, I can never get in it to read my results
