Do not buy this, you will regret it, you will waste your money, and you will not get it working properly.

Reason: It's a 100% scam product.

1. It doesn't work the 100ft it says, I've thoroughly tested this and had a replacement device, it has the standard Bluetooth 25-30ft range but struggles through walls.

2. It only supports 2.4ghz and support will use this as an excuse for everything. I have 2 ISP's wired to my home, both have issues with this device. I setup a 2.4GHZ only wifi network, it still has issues.

3. Support is completely useless.

4. If you turn it off, it will force something called Recovery Mode, which means it'll automatically turn back on. This is incredibly frustrating, if you turn off Recovery Mode, that too will turn itself back on the next time you start a session

5. The only warnings you'll ever hear in your whole life, are "Connection lost to sock!", that is it. I would not trust this for any actual health or risk. Using it for a peace of mind is nothing but placebo.

6. The app is AWFUL, it will get stuck on screens, it has a stupid flow. For example it will get stuck on "put sensor on base station" even if it already is on there...

You're paying upwards of £300 for something that feels cheap, is about £30 worth of products.

This product is a scam because it does not do anything it sets out to do.

Just think, why does no governing body recommend this product? Why has it failed to meet any industry standard, it has to rebrand just to avoid being targeted by the FDA.

We have spent weeks trying to get this sorted. Read all other reviews here, realise how it isn't popular, because it's trash.

I 1000000% regret buying this, we have forced the retailer to offer a return.

No customer support whatsoever. AI bot is shocking, no one to talk to. Ours hasn’t worked for weeks. Ended up paying for a subscription on our phones for a fraction of the price. Avoid these products and this company it’s useless

Can only have one camera on your phone on one baby at a time. Told this is because its in a 'beta' stage trial so not working yet. Pointless having 2 cameras for 2 babies as you have to switch from one camera to the other to check on your babies. Customer support unfriendly and not helpful or accommodating. Very disappointing given how expensive it is.

Absolutely shocking customer service. You are just fobbed off with troubleshooting even though you item is clearly broken . They follow a script and just ignore everything you say. The sock did not last long at all and they did nothing .
Avoid ! For the price avoid

I’m extremely concerned about the radiation that the owlet device emits to babies. I wrote to Owlet numerous times and they had nil response! See the EMFs emitted from Tech Wellness.

On their website, they state that the device “meet and exceed all applicable regulatory requirements.”

The problem is, these regulatory standards have been made for adults who have fully formed skulls and bodies - and not nearly as susceptible to EMF or RF as the developing baby.

Also, the regulatory standards are not made for devices than are used continuously next to the skin for up to 10-12 hours (which a child sleeps).

There are so many concerns I have about this device. I feel that their marketing plays on the fears that parents have about losing a baby to SIDS. However, average parents are not educated about the long term exposure of EMF and RF to their developing baby when your device is attached to their body for so many hours of the day. And as new parents, we do not have hours upon hours to do the research on EMF and RF exposure to children.

I am extremely concerned about how this will affect thousands of children over the coming years.

Never had an issue with it in nearly a year. Helps tell me my babies sats, hours of sleep and heart rate every night. Baby had apnoea so been amazing helping me to sleep at night and let me know if baby was struggling for oxygen with the alarm.

This thing is rubbish. Constantly not working. Dropping off the WiFi for no reason.

I have and will continue to discourage any friends from purchasing the owlet as a baby monitor. We live in Ireland where the Owlet is €400+. I cannot understand how this monitor has become so popular. Our son is 10 months old and it has given us nothing but trouble since day 1. False alarms, inaccurate readings, disconnects from wifi and can't view the baby at all. Given the extortionate price, the reliability and functionality of this monitor is simply not acceptable. It struggles to perform the most basic functions. Most nights it cuts out. It's not suitable for use on hotel or guest wifis. Dont get me started on the appalling app. How are they getting away with such poor service? Really really poor product given the price. After 10 months of headaches, we've ordered a replacement monitor. €60. Don't let the price and name fool you, baby monitors were better in the late 00's when I was a babysitting teenager. A really really poor product for such a price tag.

Always a struggle to connect camera to a different wifi when travelling around.
The video is often not displaying on my phone.
Complete waste of money. I really do not recoomend this product

Also abgesehen von der erst Einstellung (verbinden mit der App) war alles super ö. Nutzen die owlet schon seit Geburt und hatten noch nie Probleme damit. Keine Fehlalarme, keine blauen Füße 😅

Utter crap - sock connected after around 200 attempts, camera still hasn’t! Waste of money do not buy - customer service is a joke

DONT BOTHER. Tried to take it on holidays (same country) wouldn’t work, got home, now won’t connect to our WiFi despite deleting app multiple time etc. Customer care useless. Save yourself the stress!!!!

Constantly disconnecting. Owket customer service take a week to reply and offer no actual help just “ turn it off and on again “ style advice. Spent 3 hours today trying to get it to find my WiFi that it was connected too previously but “ lost connection “ to and now it can’t find it even though the base station is next to the router. Last time this happened it took constant attempts to connect for a week to fix.

For what is basically a glorified Fitbit it’s over priced with less features and a lot less reliable. Owlet are aware and do not care. Fed up of having to spend hours of my life every few weeks fixing this. They need to check their software and fix these glitches

This is the absolute dumbest camera paring I’ve ever seen. I wish I could give it zero stars. I’ve been sitting here for the past 45 mins trying to get it to pick up the QR code and no amount of turning it or changing the distance is doing anything. DO NOT BUY IT!!!!! PLEASE IM TRYING TO HELP YOU!!!!

Ich habe die Owlet Smart Sock 3 und habe von Beginn an Probleme.
Zunächst waren es Fehlalarme, dann die Server App Verbindung die nicht hergestellt werden konnte und jetzt können die Messwerte teilweise nicht abgerufen werden.
Ein Produkt kann durchaus mal Fehler aufweisen solange diese vom Hersteller zeitnah! gelöst werden, habe ich damit auch kein Problem. Seit Wochen spielen wir allerdings ein Ping Pong Spiel. Fehlerbeschreibung, dann wünscht der Hersteller Bilder vom Sensor, kaum sind diese per Mail versandt soll ich das nächste liefern. Bislang lief die Kommunikation über Babymarkt.de die meine Antworten weitergeleitet hat. Dann sollte ich mit dem Hersteller direkt Kontakt aufnehmen. Von Owlet bekam ich eine englische Mail mit der Bitte das Problem zu schildern, heißt ich fange wieder von vorne an.
Absolute Katastrophe. Wir haben uns für ein anderes Produkt entschieden und das 430 € teure Owlet Set wandert in den Müll.
Owlet nutzt die Lage der Eltern aus. Wenn man sich für die "Überwachung" entscheidet möchte man sie nutzen und da man beim Kauf des Produktes in der Regel ein Neugeborenes zu Hause hat, ist klar, dass man keine Zeit für eine aufwendige und nicht zielführende Kommunikation mit dem Hersteller hat.

The sock works very good but the camera is the worst It never works, we installed mesh network witch is very expensive and it still does not work. It also does not work on 4G alone. You really need to have a external camera that’s not on your phone. The camera app is really the worst I have ever had

Our owlet was hacked and someone was waking and taking your baby at night. On further research found this has been an ongoing issue once 2018 and owlet keep denying it and telling people to change passwords. Ours was 16 digits and should have been unshakable! There is a back door security issue with the app. They have even said it’s not a security device and it doesn’t need to be secure… items around and giving access should be the safest int he world DON’t buy

Nifty device if not obsessed over. However it constantly disconnects from the base, I can be in the next room 5m away from the base and it will bring up a disconnection alert that cannot be silenced until it reconnects. This is a bit troublesome at 2am when baby is having his nappy changed in the next room and co-parent is trying to get a little bit more sleep. Perhaps an ability to change the notification settings in the app would help with this.
On the topic of the app, it takes quite long to update data and connect to the base with limited customizability when logging in, so a little bit of an outdated user experience. Worth the price - No. Useful - yes.
