Dangerous Products, Broken Promises, and Utterly Tone-Deaf Marketing
I have never experienced a more catastrophic failure of "customer care" than I have with Babysense. After being informed that our monitor was part of a safety recall, we have been left in the dark for weeks, unable to safely monitor our child.
The level of incompetence is staggering:
• Empty Promises: After weeks of delays, I was personally emailed by "Sean" (the Customer Support Director), who promised "expedited delivery" that was due five days ago. It is now the 16th, and I have received no unit, no tracking information, and no update.
• Zero Duty of Care: My daughter recently suffered from a chest infection. Not being able to monitor her during the night was incredibly anxiety-inducing for my wife and I. Babysense is fully aware of the distress this causes families, yet they continue to miss their own "expedited" deadlines.
• Insulting Marketing: While I am waiting for a functional safety device, Babysense has the audacity to flood my inbox with marketing emails about "3AM wake-ups." It is a bitter, tone-deaf irony to send marketing fluff about night-time parenting while simultaneously failing to provide the very tool we need to keep our child safe at 3AM. Not least that I gave my email address in order to be kept updated with progress on the replacement unit, not be littered with junk.
They claim to "work tirelessly" for parents, but their actions suggest otherwise. We have been ignored, misled, and left with a useless, unsafe product.
If you value your peace of mind and your child’s safety, stay far away from this brand. My faith in Babysense is completely gone, and I will now be seeking a full refund for this total failure of a service.
Company unable to remedy recalled baby monitors, putting families at risk
Like many other reviewers, our baby monitor was recalled and Babysense has failed to send us a replacement. With this being a critical tool for the safety of our newborn, we are forced to look elsewhere due to their delinquency. I recommend that anyone else impacted by this failure reports them to the US CPSC recall site so they can be held accountable for this.

My parent unit was one of the supposed 80,000 recalled (which I only found out about due to someone posting on Reddit). My batch of units was recalled because some were catching on fire. You’d think it would be a priority for the company to inform everyone who has bought one of these units, especially considering it is a children’s/ baby product. I submitted my claim to get a replacement a week ago and it hasn’t even shipped yet. Again - why on earth is baby sense not treating this with urgency?
Awful service
I had two of the same parent units and they were recalled.
I submitted a claim form for both with the requested pictures with serial numbers etc
One unit arrived.
I contacted to ask about the other unit and initially was told it had been delivered.
Then I was told i needed to again prove I had two units (both had been disposed of at this point as I was told to by the company)
Then I was told it was because of a stock issue, despite my first one arriving in days
Still no second unit weeks down the line

Ordered a bundle of breathing mat and cameras, clearly says “monitor is supplied with 2 cameras” on the page. When it arrived it only had 1 camera, I queried it and was told I had purchased the 1 camera bundle even though there was only one option and the listing clearly says supplied with 2. I then said I wanted to return it and so far we’re 3 days in with a “customer service advisor” making life difficult to return it and being pedantic on terminology of returns and refunds and arguing that it was clear I only purchased 1 despite the web page I’ve shown her clearly stating 2.
BURNT THE COT & MATTRESS!
This is the worst thing I have ever bought! For a few days I could smell burning in our bedroom. After unplugging everything we could still smell it. I finally found that the breathing monitor was burning the mattress of my baby’s crib!! I followed all instructions for this product & after less than 12 weeks it has failed. Luckily it hasn’t ended in anything catastrophic but it could have if we didn’t check them! They advertise as fully safe but I highly disagree!!!

Had our HSD2 for less than two years. Have already been in touch with the company 3 times about issues. It is so frustrating! I am fed up having to fill in forms and upload evidence online!! Your products need to be better. The price does not reflect the quality!

Monitor was so disappointing. Did lots of reviews to try and get the best. Constantly bleeping when it hasn’t connected and it rarely did despite the bedroom being 6 m from the lounge.

Little to know customer care and support and not able to speak to anyone in person. I should have just sent it back for a refund on day one but they made it difficult.
You will regret buying this is you live in a 3 bed house or more as it doesn’t connect and bleeps continually. Flicks between screens without it being programmes to do this.

I should have looked at more reviews. We're a year in and I've been battling with their products. Had to change the camera once already, started making a buzzing noise and then stopped connecting to the monitor. And had to buy two new monitors chargers as they suddenly stop working. Absolute nightmare. They make it as difficult as possible to return things.

Babysense monitor is a must for any parent!
We’ve been using the Babysense monitor and honestly, it’s been a huge relief. Super easy to set up, amazing video quality, and I love the two cameras. Feels like a little extra pair of eyes watching over my two daughters — and that’s priceless.
All monitors stopped working
Bought 2 monitors from babysense and all 3 monitors died after average 2 months of usage. Contacted customer support and they were just completely unhelpful. Had the first one replaced twice, resulting in 3 monitors but all 3 just didn't work at some point. Just go with another brand and don't waste your time/money!
Won't let me return faulty product
Original parent unit broke (it was dropped several times - I don't have an issue with the breakage). Replacement parent unit doesn't connect with any type of range. Been trying to return it for 2 months. I've been asked to take about 7 different steps to prove it doesn't work. Still not sure I'll ever get my money back, and the expensive cameras are now completely useless.

I purchased a double camera and monitor after hating my old baby monitor. I could hardly tell where the kids were sleeping. I bought this as a very impulse buy after an advert appeared on Facebook. It’s the best! Such a clear picture, super long range. I can leave the house to play in the garden with my toddler and I know my youngest is safe. (We live on a farm so I know she’s safe in the other sense!) Iv also contacted the customer service team which were super helpful and friendly and fixed my issue within 24 hours. They also followed up with me a week later. Fantastic all round.
