If possible I would give the 0 stars.
they put offline a server with 500 clients account on it without giving any explaination. All the answers we got were just to take time. Luckily we had external backups and we managed to provision a new server with another provider and recreated the accounts there.
all the answer we got were: please wait while I check, and this answer took hours and hours every time. after a month we still don't have an explaination about the reason of the block.
this company is a joke (or a scam) just stay away

I have a dedicated server with online.net. Ofcourse you have to pay for that. But online.net makes it impossible for me to pay. Part of a message from one of their employees:

"First, we allow PayPal after three months old with services paid. For the credit card, we allow only credit card protected by 3d-secure system"

On their website they state that I can pay with Mastercard and Paypal, there are no restrictions. But when trying to pay they come with a lot of additional demands making it impossible for me to pay. A customer can use Paypal only after 3 months. And my Mastercard got rejected because it doesn't have 3d-secure.

These demands are ridiculous. I never saw a company before where I can pay with Paypal only after 3 months. And never saw a company rejecting my credit card because it doesn't have 3d-secure.

And all this time my server is offline. What do they expect ? That I am going to order/find a new credit card company only to pay them ? While my server is offline ?

Had 20 servers with them at one stage.

They move goal posts too often.

Still a server or two with them but always hetzner.de now.

Sehr günstige Dedicated-Server mit hoher Verfügbarkeit. Meiner stand 4 Minuten nach der Bestellung zur Verfügung. Seitdem läuft er nun sehr zuverlässig. Der Support antwortet sehr viel schneller als die versprochenen 24-48h und ist sehr hilfsbereit.
Demzufolge ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Les prix sont super bas sur les gammes des dédiés !
Les techniciens sont compétents et rapide, support 24/7j rapide par téléphone et ticket !

Good servers and reasonable support. But Lord help you if you accidentally order a wrong server. Minutes after doing so I contacted the support but they absolutely refused to refund.
No amount of explaining/negotiating/begging helped here. "not possible"... Reporting to the Manger did not help as they all just kept repeating it was not possible to do anything about it...

Still, good servers with good features but god help you if you order a wrong thing!

I bought a special from Online about three months ago and it has been great - the network is fast (1gbps!) and seems to be good throughout Europe (which is very surprising for a ~£10 server).

Support has been *interesting* in that there can be a language barrier but that's to be expected with a French company (I should probably try learning French :p), but I've always succeeded getting an idea across to them, and they're always fast and polite.

It's worth reading the ToS though as it says that you can only cancel before the 20th of the month as they use pro-rata billing - which is why I think so many of the other reviews are negative. If you're fine with that, then the offers they have when they release specials are great and at this price point, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better provider.

société géré par des incompétents, cartésiens qui ne souhaitent rien comprendre et affirment que des mensonges. ce sont des voleurs, ils acceptent une commande puis après te demandent un tas de document qu'il est impossible de fournir et prennent ton argent sans rembourser!

dont go there they will steel your money and will ban your account for you have another account but first time i have signup with them dont provide any credit card details if you provide you will be not able to delete that from there site

Your server will expire at the end of the current month if you terminate it before the 20th, otherwise it will expire at the end of the next month.

If you terminate now, it will expire on 2017-01-01. The only way to cancel this termination will be to contact the support team.

illegal activity's what is this i don't even installed the servers i am not able to access my server list

Je suis client depuis plusieurs années et de nombreux serveurs chez Online.net

Récemment Online a décidé que certains serveurs sortant de garantie ne devaient plus exister

Du coup il m'ont livré de vorce 2 nouvelle dédibox (que je n'avais pas demandé) et me demandent de remplacer mes 2 serveurs par ces nouvelles dédibox ...sans tenir compte du fait :

- Que j'ai explicitement émis le souhait de conserver mes anciens serveurs qui fonctionnent parfaitement
- Que le transfert sur un nouveau serveur va m'obliger à retravailler les services hébergés (problème de distribution et donc de version de site plus à jour)
- Que cette opération va couter du temps développeur et de l'insatisfaction chez mes clients

Malgré cela ONLINE m'impose ce remplacement sans tenir aucun compte de mes remarques

Bref une attitude lamentable et qui ne respecte absolument pas le client final que je suis

J'ai exactement la même situation chez OVH avec des serveurs très anciens et OVH ne m'a jamais imposé de les remplacer car ils fonctionnent parfaitement

Entre les 2 mon choix est donc fait ... je rebascule tous mes serveurs chez OVH au plus vite

Bad support and bad practice they will always invoice you everything for a full month and refuse any cancellation, you can't even remove your credit card from their website, they will trick you into cancelling your service early in the month, but you still have to pay for it until the end of the month. Don't go they are real scammers here to steal your money.

I never will use this company again . They have very bad attitude .

They dont respect costumers at all . The are ready to destroy your business by locking your server anytime without any notice .

if you have serious business you should keep away from this company

I have started testing online.net since 1 week, i've tried so far their seedbox it was so fast i get 1 Gbit/s on healthy torrents the upload is also very fast and tested also the FTP connection bandwidth to their servers i was able to get 90% (100Mbps) speed of my connection bandwidth which is it 120mbs.
now i am testing their vmware and desktop oriented setups and so far so good.
and not to mention that they got the best prices available in the market 8 Euro for dedicated server this is really nice.

Si vous désirez avoir une expérience ratée e-commerce, commandez un serveur chez online.net.
J'ai eu le malheur de me faire voler ma carte bancaire et le renouvellement du serveur n'a pu être prélevé. Étant en week end je n'ai pas consulté ma Boite emaîl pendant 48h.
Apres 48h j'ai essayé donc de payer avec une autre carte bancaire et mon compte était deja radié.
Résultat : plus de site internet plus de base de donnée avec bien sûr tous les clients à l'intérieur.
En clair passez votre chemin et cherchez un hébergeur à la hauteur.
Une honte !

Apres avoir quitter mon ancien hébergeur après 4 ans de fidélité cela fait 1 mois que j'ai pris un serveur dédié chez Online.net.

Le prix :
Les prix sont plus qu'acceptable malgré des frais d'installation élevé (on ne le paye qu'une seul fois) l'installation est extrêmement rapide (moins de 10 minutes).

Le support :
Je n'ai eu qu'un seul problème qui étais la validation de mon numéro de téléphone, un coup de téléphone au support (qui selon moi est situé en France) en 3 minutes chrono c'etais réglé, d'ailleurs c'est extrêmement appréciable d'avoir un support téléphonique

Le service :
De tres nombreux services sont disponible pour l'offre dédié comme le monitoring avec alerte, mail sms (certain sont gratuit, d'autre payant)

La qualité :
Les serveurs tournent parfaitement je n'ai eu aucun problème mais alors aucun !

Le plus:
Partitionnement via web

Conclusion :
Je pense rester chez eux et passer mes sites web, nom de domaines chez eux.

I got really sick of OVH with all the "let's change the price twice a month " and the recently 20% price increase on all the servers... plus the answered my ticket with an average response time of 1 week...
I now use Online.net web hosting offers for small websites and I recently purchased a few dedicated servers for a some big websites.


Pros:
- Great bandwith quality, they improved it a lot in the past few months, it's true it wasn't that great last year.
- No traffic quota
- Great support response time. Right now I get answer in less than 15min and they recently opened phone support in english

Cons:
- Lack of features in the API (like ordering stuff or using the webhosting)
- No additionnal IPs on the private network, but I've heard they'll have a L2 private network soon

As for the previous comment, I also got the 10 servers limit. I sent an email and a few minutes later my quota increased

I run a small hosting company and when OVH stopped orders I started to use a few servers from Online. What they don't tell you is the following:

1. If you cancel a server a day after the 20th you are stuck with it for another 40 days (that includes paying for an extra month)!

2. You can have a max of 10 servers, if you email support about this, they say buy a bigger server and split it into VPS!

3. Support will take well over 12 hours to reply to any ticket.

4. They do not send reports of any actions they are taking, I had a server blocked due to it sending spam, no email was sent to me about this and you can't view the logs, it just shows as suspended in your portal.

5. Rescue modes do not work correctly, e.g. WinPE will not load VNC, this has been a problem for well over 3 months and reported many a time.

6. Bandwidth is very poor, peering is terrible unless you are connecting in from EU.
