I would give 0 stars if I could based on today’s experience if that were possible.

I have had many outages (7 in six months, all documented) so left the infrastructure for favour of mobile broadband. It was that or Starlink as OFNL hold the monopoly on my newbuild estate in Corby.

I had a letter telling me they would hold an open meeting today (1st June 2026) between 12-6pm. So I turned up at 12:20pm to the local community centre. one side was a nursery so doors were locked. Other side I could see people sitting at desks but doors were locked again. They saw me try the doors so I stood there for 5-10 minutes before going outside to see if I was even in the right place.

I waited, and waited. Called OFNL to see if the meeting was even happening. Was placed on hold while the lady tried to find more details or a room number. I was on this call for half an hour. She told me she would ring me back, and she did not. After an hour of waiting, I left and asked the local page on facebook if the meeting was even happening. There was no information to be seen anywhere at the community centre that they were there. No sign, no poster, no contact information.

I returned later with my dad. We followed people through the door and found they were indeed in there, the same people that saw me waiting there earlier in the day. They had to keep the door closed for safeguarding as it’s a school as well as a community centre.

This just made me even more angry as it felt like the meeting was being held behind locked doors to purposely keep us residents away from it. No posters to let us know where they even were. They weren’t in uniforms so just looked like members of the public. It was not obvious they were there and they were not welcoming either. ‘well we’ve been here since 11’ is not a good enough response when you left me outside waiting to come in for over an hour!

I did speak to them in the end, told them about the amount of outages i’ve had since November. They told me it wasn’t true that i’d had that many outages. I literally have dates and times noted down from when I contacted my ISP. I don’t like being told i’m a liar.

I know I made the right choice now ditching this company and relying on mobile broadband instead. Just look at the uptime. Most companies have 99.9% uptime. This last month, OFNL has been 78%. While I was having issues it was as low as 70%. And the prices are very high for what you get, if you even get connection at all! £35 for 160/30. I now pay £18 and get speeds as high as 600/80.

I had a problem on Friday with my Sky connection but was unable to get an engineer visit booked in through SeeTheLight until the following Thursday, so no satellite in the meantime.

Paul the OFNL engineer was able to bring forward my appointment to 10am Monday. He identified the problem very quickly and replaced the fibre cable connection, tested and was done in about 20 minutes. Paul was not only extremely efficient but very focused on making sure as a customer I was happy. Such a joy to deal with someone who really cares.

Just moving into a new build and have to use ofnl, prices are eye wateringly high because they have a monopoly, i see others have complained yet nothing happens.

Needed an issue resolved today with my Internet, Mark went above and beyond to help me out, great person and a job well done. Based in Peterborough.

Phone due to having no internet connection engineer came out after the Bank holiday and was really helpful and explained how to increase Wi-Fi around the house and fixed the issue, only downfall was waiting 5 days for the engineer and still waiting for reduced bill due to no connection for 5 days.

The engineer performed the necessary checks, quickly identified an issue with the ONT connection, and resolved it successfully.

Fixed very quickly and also shown me how to wire up the apartment better, thanks to Paul!

We had an issue with our internet connection and the engineer that attended (Mark W) could not have been more helpful. He was professional, experienced and very knowledgeable. He turned up exactly on time and had no trouble in getting us connected again. He also went the extra mile to help us set up our Sky Entertainment package. We were very impressed

Paul the engineer went out of his way to solve our connectivity issue and also tidied up all the wires in our cables cupboard so they were no longer a potential hazard. Very pleased with the service
