The work 24/7 and are always there to help .
I broke down very early hours on a Sunday morning during my night shift and Simon was very helpful in getting me back on the road, he was also very quick in dealing with the matter at hand, he was very friendly .

Very helpful individual
After carrying out maintenance on North gate vehicle hire in Bristol I feel I have to come on here to give a special mention to the brilliant Simon who was so helpful and couldn't do enough to make my time working there go as smoothly as possible! He was Informative and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible, clearing ice away for me to keep my working area safe it was something i have never experienced before as a contractor!

M4 breakdown
My lease van broke down on the M4 today, freezing cold it was too. Northgate dispatched the RAC, who were busy as usual so the sub contracted my recovery out to a local firm. I was recovered to Northgate Bristol where Simon the out of hours guy was waiting for us. What a champ that bloke is, had me processed and in a courtesy van within half hour of arriving. He honestly couldn't do enough to help. Simon, you're a credit to Northgate mate, thanks a million. Cheers Ben

After several hours waiting for a breakdown company to contact me for collection of my van, I was very pleased to have Simon from out of hours Northgate phone me and give me several updates. He was very professional, courteous and helpful. This was not the first time that he has helped me with hire vans that I have had with different employers and he is a credit to Northgate Out of hours team.

Simon from the Bristol branch went above and beyond to help me after I had an accident in my vehicle, he kept me up to date with the recovery service ETA and couldn’t do enough to help me; being in an accident is stressful enough but Simon reassured me all was ok and arranged a replacement vehicle for me despite being out of hours and was able to get me back on the road in no time at all, thank you Simon, you are a credit to the business

Simon was very helpful
I broke down out of usual opening hours. Simon was extremely helpful and sorted out a replacement vehicle for me in his own time. When I arrived Simon had the vehicle ready to go and made a stressful situation a lot less stressful.

Rubbish, would not recommend to anyone
Poor customer service and lies. I worked for a company who leased a vehicle from these clowns. First time I had to contact them was for a simple headlight bulb failure, rang them and was told to drop by the next day "and we will have you in and out in 5 minutes". It took 3 hours - "because the mechanic had gone to lunch?".
MOT time.... rang and CONFIRMED there would be a replacement van waiting for me as a MOT can take a few hours.......you have guessed it, there wasn't one and I had to take the van to the separate MOT centre...lost half a days pay.
Don't they realise how business critical their service is and how to deliver good customer service? AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I understand your frustrations at the lack of replacement vehicles and the time taken to repair, but unfortunately with the extreme demands of vehicle availability on our fleet, due to the strain on the industry, we are stretched to the limit in providing replacement vehicles to our customers.
I would still welcome the chance to look into your concerns for you, especially with regards to the time it took to fix the headlight bulb failure, but with the information supplied I am unable to find any details for your hire. I would ask that you please get in touch so I can investigate.

Definitely our go to now for hiring a vehicle now. Really great service, Sally and Hera were both fantastic to deal with.
We hired a Merc Sprinter XL for 5 months. Price was fair and the van was in great condition. When we returned it again everyone was lovely and fair.
10/10 would use again.

Service Is Better Than Ever
To give this review balance, between 2018 and 2020 we as a loyal customer have had some up's and downs. However I do feel a lot of the recent good press at Northgate is well deserved.
Service in my opinion is better than ever (particularly at the Bristol branch). From the Rental Desk, to the Workshop and Account Management.
Particular thanks goes to Vicki Page, Jason Baldwin, Phil Lowe and Sally Pickford. Just such a cohesive service top to bottom. We did try other vehicle rental companies during the recent low's. But without doubt, as a user of 30-40 vehicles daily, when Northgate are on song like this you won't find a better service out there in the market. It's been seriously good the past 18 months.
Thanks again to the Bristol team and for Northgate getting back to what made them successful in the first place. A more 'hands on' approach to business has been great to see.

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. Have a number of vans through northgate. One was vandalised. Went to their garage for repair. Firstly it was sat there for 2 weeks and nothing happened. But wanted to charge me the hire, tried charging me for a pre painted part stating they painted it (yet the item still has the stickers on from the supplier) and also trying to charge for wiring that wasn’t needed!! And then told on the phone ‘don’t know why you are bothered then insurance is paying’
