I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Jay at New Balance Stratford. I absolutely hate shopping, but I was in desperate need of the right footwear due to plantar fasciitis and a broken ankle that was causing me constant discomfort. From the moment I walked in, Jay was incredibly approachable and knowledgeable, without being the least bit pushy.

He actively listened to my needs and took the time to understand my concerns, which is something I rarely experience when shopping. What stood out most was his patience—he didn’t rush me, nor did he try to coerce me into buying anything. Even though I told him I wanted to mull over the information and try a few other competitors, Jay completely respected that decision. He suggested that I walk around Stratford Mall to test the trainers and truly feel what worked for me.

After visiting other stores, I found myself returning to Jay's store because the service was unparalleled. I ended up walking out with a pair of W860A14 trainers, and I am so glad I did. Jay's professionalism and genuine desire to ensure I walked out with the right footwear made all the difference. He truly went above and beyond, especially considering how much I dislike shopping. People like Jay deserve recognition—he made what could have been a frustrating experience so much easier, and for that, I’m grateful. Thank you, Jay!

Rude customer service - I was trying to out through a warranty issue for a trainer that is falling apart and the customer service hasn’t tried to help at all, giving me quite a rude treatment and very blunt reply

Ordered new balance trainers 574..popping noise in left trainers.. new balance didn't want to know..now ignoring my emails..looking online,, this is a common design fault with these trainers.avoid

Charged £15 for express delivery as it said it would arrive the next day in an order which was already £350. The order didn’t arrive next day so I messaged and then was told that express delivery is 1-2 working days and not 1 day. I ordered it specifically for a half marathon at the weekend so now it’s pointless. I could have had free delivery which would be 2-3 days or ‘express’ delivery which is £15 and 2 days. Work that one out. Absolute rip off. I ordered on Thursday, thinking it would arrive on the Friday but it won’t be until the Monday.

I try to buy trainers on the website and they don't have sizes for many products 🤣🤣🤣.
Why New Balance is still keeping the website active?🤣🤣🤣

Bought a pair of 574s 3rd pair of NB trainers I’ve bought. Was pleased but when it rained the soles became very slippery and I fell over on a hill (pavement) contacted NB who told me -the 574 model may not be ideally suited for wet environments. Additionally, many colourways of this model feature a suede upper, which is not a water-resistant material. Due to these factors, it’s possible that the shoes are not the best fit for your needs, rather than an issue with the shoes themselves. I felt a lack of grip in wet weather was a reasonable ask. They are refusing to refund unless I provide photos of my trainers but that won’t demonstrate any fault in manufacturing it’s a design fault

Item never received. Been in a battle with them and the courier UPS for a month and half. Save your money and don’t order from this useless company.

Your return policy only accepting returns in like new condition is a non-starter. How can anyone evaluate a show without wearing it? I will take my business to Brooks, which doesn't impose restrictions like this.

Don’t expect any help from Customer services from this company as they are useless as it clearly shows from your rating on here.
Ordered a pair of trainers and received a completely different pair.
Contacted them and they are saying this could not be the case as they had thousands of orders.
The website clearly had a glitch and shown a different pair of trainers while I was ordering, I’d never even seen the ones before that I ordered luckily I liked them and kept them but New Balance accepted no responsibility at all.

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes from New Balance, and after receiving the tracking number, I noticed that three days later, my parcel was delivered to the Northampton warehouse. I contacted New Balance customer service, and they informed me that it was a shipping error and that the parcel was sent back to the warehouse.

This is the second time in one year that I've had this issue with New Balance, and I am extremely disappointed with their service. It's frustrating to deal with such poor service!
And also what is surprising me that NB still working with this rubbish and the worst delivery company UPS

Another SCAM website ! Take the money - no goods, no record of sale, no order address, no shipping address. Not anyone available to talk 'English' in their 'Customer Service' department ! Presumably taking money with no goods is very lucrative for you ?

These shoes are really disappointing. The quality feels cheap, and they started falling apart after only a few wears. Not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend them.

Bought 530s from this site as many fake shoes out there. Prompt delivery. Birthday present for my better half. Scanned QR code, fake as a £3 note. So disappointing. New Balance UL sells fake China knock offs

I bought a pair of New Balance 550 shoes, and after just one month, I noticed that the heels had holes. I brought this issue to customer support and spent a lot of time dealing with them, only to be told in the end to contact the original shop. Because of the delay, the shop couldn’t find the receipts and is unable to help.

Very poor customer service that have a lack of empathy and understanding. What is the point of paying for delivery to a home address for the courier to lie that they attempted delivery and now the recipient has to go and collect from somewhere else? Absolute stupidity! Then they want to put home delivery next to UPS Access Point to avoid delivering to homes.. it defeats the whole purpose of being efficient ! And they don’t even reattempt delivery like most couriers.
They need to retrain their customer service team as there was no empathy or understanding and rethink their shipping and courier partner policies as you are supposed to cater to the customer and this wasn’t the case at all.

Know there’s a lot of negative reviews on here but I personally ordered some trainers that came really quickly. Found to be too big so returned and ordered again a size down. Found to website returns process to be quite poor as wouldn’t let me generate a return but emailed in and got a prompt return label sent to me and received a refund within a few days. Can’t fault them personally.

This morning, I spoke with one of your Customer Service Agents, who was very helpful and advised me to submit my concerns in writing. I appreciate their assistance and wanted to ensure that New Balance is aware of the issues I have encountered with this model.

As someone with mobility issues, finding comfortable footwear is essential for me. However, I have found that wearing these trainers for even a few hours causes significant discomfort, making me eager to remove them. Given that I do not wear shoes often, I was particularly disappointed with this experience.

I was informed that I would need to raise my concerns with John Lewis, where the purchase was made. However, as the manufacturer, I believe New Balance should also be aware of customer feedback regarding product design and comfort. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this issue and consider whether a more suitable alternative from your range might be available to accommodate my needs.

I look forward to your response and hope that a resolution can be reached.
