Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage. They allowed ALL of my money to be transferred to a bank in california (I never travel out of state, I live on the east coast.) I ended up having to ask my elderly mother for rent money, which as a grown man is insanely embarrassing. I'm currently on the phone with their customer service, and every time they ""transfer"" me I have been hung up on.

I would give them a negative if i could. They want two items to verify my address. I dont get mail at physical. I gave them drivers license, car registration and concealed carry license ( which has to be approved by FBI). DL they approved, the conceal carry was not good enough and registration wasn’t done in last 30 days. You would think if its good enough for FBI it would be for a prepaid card. Its not like they are loaning me money.

They make you jump through loose to talk to an actual person they sent me a card I didn’t ask for and I can’t speak to no one about it. It doesn’t make it any easier on their website either there.

Scam

They don't tell you about monthly subscription and external transfer fees. Additionally, they dont make it easy to close the account. You need to call them but they dont pick up. So you are stuck

Has to be the worst bank I've ever dealt with and I've dealt with probably around 30 of them maybe more they charge you a fee for everything under the sun the customer service representatives are completely incompetent they have no idea what they're doing they're a bunch of crooks the bank should be shut down

There a joke cost $2.95 to buy a card add money cost you then to even use the money you load on the card cost $2 every time you use the card. They’re a complete scam. Do not use this company

Okay here is the deal. BS aside. Netspend been a headache since i started with them. Netspend I don't understand why you keep asking me to leave a review. This how you ask me. Would you let us know how we doing . I remember telling you that im the last person you should be asking. Only time you Netspend ever did anything right for me was when i moved to the west an i left a Netspend card behind at the house i was staying at. Anyways when it came time for me to receive SSI benefits check you didn't allow me to. I PEACH an called you out your name an prayed you death. On one of them days i called you Netspend an heard the voice of a young lady that spoke ENGLISH no half ass English but spoke the proper English. When she spoke it sounded like she was signing. She said LOOK JESSE IM GOING TO TRY AN HELP YOU. SO YOU CAN GET YOUR ACCOUNT UNBLOCKED. JUST NEED YOU TO STOP WHAT YOUR DOING AN LET HELP.SHE DONT CALL NETSPEND ILL GIVE YOU A CALL MYSELF ONCE I SPEAK WITH NETSPEND ABOUT LETTING YOU GET ACCESS TO YOUR MONEY. AN GOOD GOD SHE DID IT. CALLED ME WHEN SHE SAID SHE WAS AN MADE A NEW ACCOUNT WITH NEW PASSWORD AN I GOT MY MONEY. BLESS THAT ENGLISH SPEAKING YOUNG LADY. THAT WAS THE ONLY TIME YOU NETSPEND DID ANYTHING RIGHT. THEN NETSPEND SHOWED ITS ASS AGAIN. REMEMBER NETSPEND WHEN THEY STOLE MY MONEY AN I ASKED YOU OVER AN OVER TO ASK FOR PICTURES OF PERSON TAKING MY MONEY OUT AT A ATM. AN YOU DIDN'T. IM STILL HURTING CAUSE OF THAT. I LOST MY PLACE CAUSE COULDN'T PAY MY RENT. ITS REALLY HARD TRYING GET UP FROM THAT. AS YOU CAN SEE IM STILL BUTT HURT. Worst banking experience I ever had

Opened a pre paid credit card account and linked my bank account to it. I was able to transfer money from my bank account to the pre paid card, but every time I tried using card it was rejected. I contacted support and after 30 minutes they told me my account wasn't fully activated and they took care of it, but it may take an hour or two before the card works. I waited 7 hours and when I tried to use the card again it was still getting rejected. After another hour with support they told me my account was fine and they would escalate the issue, it it may take days before it is fix if ever. I decided netspend wasn't worth it so I logged into my account and tried to to transfer my money back to my linked banked account, but kept getting error telling me to try again later. So for third time I contacted support and after 60 minutes of them blaming me, the websites I tried to use the card, and my bank for not letting me transfer the money back, the finally agreed to close my account and send me a check for a refund. Of course I have to wait up to two weeks to get the money back that only took them seconds to transfer from my bank account

Big fat scam

I really regret purchasing a card from Netspend. I buy the card at Family Dollar, use it once to buy something off the app store, all of a sudden it starts declining. Also why must I verify myself for a temporary card?? I only needed to see the balance(I thought that was why it was declining but nope) I want my 41 bucks back. Let me get my money back netspend.

After 20 + years of having NetSpend…

After 20 + years of having NetSpend they are now limiting how much I can transfer to my spouse. It's not their money and they shouldn't have a say on me getting it. I will be looking for a different place to do business, maybe one with people who speak good English

Shut them down

Bounced a $200 transfer after the first transfer went through ok. Charged me $5 for the card, then another $5 after I called to ask for statements. Thiefs. Customer service replies fast but will demand your personal and financial info such as your regular bank statements. Someone needs to shut them down. I want my $10 back.

I had the the NetSpend card my Disability Social security for 967.00 there is fraud they did nothing to stop it.It was all gone on December 26th 2025 they did nothing to help all I got was runaround lies I gave them all the information they are . I don’t know how this company got my…

I don’t know how this company got my data, but I’ve been getting targeted email and mailers. The fact that they send me a card that could be activated perhaps by anyone and they don’t give you any information about how this could work is bullshit in my opinion. This feels illegal And highly unethical.

Customer service needs more training…

Customer service needs more training when talking with customers. All the over talking, the uhhs not cool. Especially when you are trying to explain the problem and the agent keeps overtalking you. Now for the biggest issue..had to report card stolen since i had 2 fraud charges on my card..plus 2 $20 overdraft fees. I got the regular money back and now Im being told I cant have my overdraft fees. Something that was out of my control. And now im being told i cant have my money back..yep time to move my money somewhere else..this aint the first time neither
