Over the years, we’ve been trying to come up with the best way to say, “Hello, we’re Neptune, and this is who we are.” It’s easy to learn that we’re an interiors brand – our stores, and our website will tell you that in no time. But while our designs are a huge part of who we are, ‘the why’ and ‘the how’ almost matter more than ‘the what’. It’s easy to tell you what we do, it’s harder to explain why. That’s where our philosophy – a different perspective – comes in. Three words that sum up our entire reason for being.

We received no satisfactory help
We received no satisfactory help. We bought two very expensive sofas. We were told that they could not be treated against stains. Our other furniture from Heal’s and Timothy Oulton was treated.
We were also told you could not provide arm covers- again not a problem we have had with good furnishers.

Thank you for reaching out to us to highlight your disappointment that Neptune doesn’t offer fabric protection or arm caps for your Eva sofas. I do understand why you want to protect your investment, and I am sorry for any disappointment this news has caused. As I understand it from chatting with Karen, this was not discussed at the time of purchase, but please do correct me if that’s not the case.
I’m afraid we don’t offer any post production protectants for our fabrics. Applying them to natural materials can alter the texture, cause discoloration, or compromise the fabric's integrity. Also, some treatments contain ingredients such as PFOA & PFOS, which have been listed in worldwide health alerts as potentially toxic chemicals found in human tissue, wildlife & the environment.
These sprays are also often not a one-time solution, will need to be re-applied, and may weaken the fabric fibres they hope to protect. From my time at Heal’s, I know that they do supply some ‘smart’ fabrics that have an inherent stain resistant treatment woven in that would make any aftermarket spray redundant. They also offer insurance, but not protection, to cover any subsequent cleaning to resolve issues. They don’t offer any fabric spray protection.

Please let us know if you have any other questions about daily care or safe cleaning methods.
Unfortunately, we don’t manufacture arm caps for any of our sofas or armchairs. However, we do sell our fabric by the metre so it may be possible for you to have them to be made for you if you happen to know a reputable upholsterer. I’m very sorry that this is not a service that Neptune currently provides.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention & I’m sorry that we weren’t able to cover this before you completed your purchase. I will be speaking to all of our staff as a point of training to enable us to satisfactorily manage our customers’ expectations.

Brand new kitchen
I started my Neptune experience in December. I visited the Chichester store to look at ideas for a complete new kitchen. The entire staff were just lovely and knowledgeable and helpful. Long story short, I ended up purchasing my entire kitchen from them. Jo Liddle and all members I spoke with at Chichester store have been amazing and assured me all the way having never renovated before. All the team, Ian and Stu the installers,Tom the painter and Ian project manager worked on time and professionally ( and so friendly to have in my home). From start to finish I’ve felt reassured when in doubt about things and have always been able to contact for advice and anything I’ve questioned. Couldn’t recommend more. Now have to get used to where everything is and settle in. Kitchen now complete May 2026

Amazing customer service
Our visit to Chichester was exceptional. Eden was most helpful and knowledgable and spent a long time with us- she was also very patient !Subsequently we have ordered a bed/headboard and we have spoken to other members of staff on the phone at Chichester who were very helpful in getting the information we needed to make our final decision, and super helpful with the delivery. Outstanding customer service from the whole team !

Great customer service
I wanted to order some paint, I live on the Isle of Wight and couldn’t get over to the mainland. The lady I spoke too was made my shopping experience a pleasure, she was so helpful and friendly, I received my order quickly, the packaging was secure. Very good customer service and very efficient.

A Lovely building in a glorious country setting.
My friend and I love visiting the Drayton Neptune shop 2 or 3 times a year.
Although I would love to say I was ordering a kitchen (I love all the room layouts and enjoy wandering around them), we come for the faux flowers that adorn both our houses. Their cushions and homewares are also very tempting.
We were welcomed by a lovely assistant who recognised us from our last visit late last year. I wish that I had noted down her name, but will do next time if she is there. She took time to make us a coffee and have a laugh with us. She is a great ambassador for Neptune and a thoroughly nice person.
The faux flowers we come for are lovely and far more realistic than other makes I have bought over the years. Seeing them in the various rooms around the building also shows how they would look arranged in different vases.

Great service and great products
We have purchased a number of products from Neptune over the last year or so. Without exception the quality and design is first-rate and we have not been disappointed. In all cases we have visited the Chichester store to view and choose items for our home. Staff at this store are unfailingly helpful, knowledgeable and courteous to a fault; in particular, Howard, Karen and Emma have been both welcoming and extremely charming, and made our experience with Neptune an absolute pleasure.

The staff are always very friendly and…
The staff are always very friendly and there to help if needed. A drink is offered while you browse the displays. They are getting better with their "available now" items but could still improve. Who wants to wait 11-12 weeks for an item !! Furniture is a good quality but they do charge for delivery which used to be free.

While we are always trying to improve on lead times, the 11+ weeks is normally due to an item being made to order which is not a process we can currently expedite as it is made from scratch in our factory, customised to your requirements. There are also sometimes items that do go out of stock, we always try to re-stock as quickly as possible.
We do now need to charge for deliveries due to the rising cost of delivering but I will pass on all of your review to the appropriate teams as we truly appreciate all feedback.

Longmeadow garden furniture and great delivery service
I have just taken delivery of new garden furniture Longmeadow and coffee table. It is really beautiful, well made. I am delighted. Howard was great in the shop.
I have to mention the delivery support. Sean and Josh gave me a ring 30 mins before. They were polite, professional and extremely helpful and friendly. Took away all the waste to be recycled. They are both an asset to the company and great ambassadors outwith the shop. Thank you.

Another positive shopping experience at…
Another positive shopping experience at Neptune Chichester. We visited to purchase dining chairs and Jenny and the team were very helpful, bringing the chairs out, making coffee and letting us seat-test without any pressure to make a decision. We left very happy with our purchase and Jenny made the ordering process very simple. She advised us on other products to maintain our existing Henley furniture. Best of all…our large German Shepherd was made very welcome and fed treats - another fan of shopping at Neptune
