Bizarrely Incompetent
This registrar has been mishandling my account for years. They simply allowed one of my domains to expire and get snatched by a sniper a couple years ago. More recently, for the last few weeks, they've been sending me reminder emails that another domain I have with them is expiring, but not to worry, because auto-renew is turned out for my account, so I don't have to do anything (the email says). I say ok, and don't do anything. Today one of my users told me the domain was down. Moniker had deleted the card I had on file without telling me, once again allowing a domain to lapse. After making me enter my card details again, I attempted to renew the domain manually and wasn't even given the opportunity to use the card I had JUST added to the account. Instead they sent me to PayPal checkout.
So what was the point of all that?

Moniker support saves the day!
I had a major slip up with an expired card and names were deleted while I was on vacation, valuable names that were on auto-renew and would have never otherwise gotten close to deleting. The team worked hand in hand with me to retrieve the names and were able to get them back into our account! I can assure you, no other registrar would have taken the time and asserted the care of the Moniker team! While many have gone to other registrars, its having the ability to reach out and get the support that is worth it, especially in situations like this. I highly recommend dealing with this company!! Remember, just because a registrar is cheaper, does not mean its better!!

Some help but not much
No service]t on weekends? Can't fix the problem while on the phone with the customer. When the fix is done it is not a complete fix.

I was able to establish my account with…
I was able to establish my account with Moniker.
Originally it was set up by a former computer consultant who can no longer be reached.
I had no account access information.
I now was able to establish my own account and set up an annual auto payment for the next 9 years.
The negative experience was that it took me 3 or 4 days to accomplish this.

Over priced for a domain
Over priced for a domain, over 20 years i've been with this company to not get a single bit of loyalty. They just rip you off you can get domain half the price or maintain your domains at half the price with a quick google search and you will see that not only moving it the renewal price is cheaper. It’s a domain you provider no service for this domain apart from the initial purchase be then no more service. If yours costs have increased that is not my problem you can’t manage your business but you stick it to the end user to pay your ineptitudes. Don’t use moniker they suck and the website is clunky. It was easier to use over 20 years ago then a new ceo came that messed it all up back then. Avoid this service and you’ll avails a lot of stress

Long time client, first time support request
I've been a customer of Moniker for a long time - the fall of 2003 to be exact - and I've always been happy with their service and ease of use. I recently had switched bank accounts and for random reasons lost a domain that I've had for 18 years. Support was able to quickly help me recover it with just a few emails.

AVOID Moniker!!
Currently (April, 2024), I use four Internet Domain registrars, including Moniker. Of these four IDRs, Moniker is BY FAR the worst. On many occasions, I cannot access their website, not even for the purpose of logging-in! Furthermore, when I complain to their technical support staff, the response that I receive is wholly inadequate, even when I attach a screenshot that shows the problem that I encounter when trying to access the website.

Moniker used to be a good registrar - not any more and OVRPRICED!
Moniker used to be a good domain registrar. Like everyone else they think they have to re-design their website, make it look different, flashy and "new".... and then charge you 30% more. I have over 100 domains with them and I will now be shopping around for a new registrar.

Domain registrars tend to be shady
Domain registrars tend to be shady. GoDaddy tries to autobill you hundreds of dollars for no reason, cloudflare and porkbun don't let you change the name servers on your own domains, but moniker it a legitimate company with good customer support and decent (though not the cheapest) pricing. I've used them for years, and my aunt uses them too.
