Fabulous people and products!
I found Mobility hire to be wonderful! So easy to talk to, polite, helpful and punctual. In addition the profile bed I hired was virtually brand new and very comfortable.

The delivery of the scooter and the…
The delivery of the scooter and the instructions were fine, but what about the armrests ?One fell off after I lent on it to get onto the scooter. The delivery guy had tried to adjust it before he left but that hadn't worked. He had left the premises by the time I had got onto the scooter and the armrest fell off, but I'm not happy, hence the 3 stars. I won't be buying this scooter, just hope it works OK for my holiday.

The scooter is fitted with removable armrests, and while our delivery colleague adjusted them before leaving, we're sorry that one became detached when you came to use it. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we made attempts to contact you over the weekend, and today we've arranged to swap the scooter over so you can enjoy your holiday with complete confidence.
One of the key advantages of hiring is that if an issue does arise, we can replace the equipment quickly rather than leaving customers waiting for repairs or replacement parts. We hope the replacement scooter serves you well and wish you a fantastic holiday.

Brilliant buy
Had it two days, and worth every penny... Highly recommended. Would be good to have two soap dishes, one for soap/gel, another one for shampoo bottle.

The installations went perfectly and the engineer that arrived was very helpful and gave a full run down one the use of the products, i would recommend this company to anyone who needs mobility equipment.

Try before you buy
From my initial conversation with Ashley, to delivery of two profile beds, Mobility Hire has been excellent.
Ashley, Victoria and Kelly have been amazing in helping to find the right beds to suit the needs of my parents.
The delivery driver was slightly delayed, but I received a call about that, and then a call to say what time he would arrive. He was polite, and set up the beds and explained everything to my Mum.
We decided to ‘try before you buy’ and will be buying at the end of the two week hire.

Amazing customer care and products with a rapid response.
During a weekend when my Dad desperately needed a hospital bed I rang and spoke to someone straight away. I recieved an email at 10.30pm and a bed was being delivered by Sunday afternoon.
Everyone was so helpful including Amanda on the phone and the delivery driver Nigel. The bed was brilliant and Nigel assembled and familiarised us with its use, he helped us manoeuvre furniture to accommodate the bed.
Collection was easy too and we were kept up to date with the drivers arrival time.
I cannot speak highly enough of this company.

Expensive and unreasonable refund policy
OK - nothing wrong with the hoist or service. All good. My one star is reflective of 2 things. One is that they only let you hire for 2 week periods and we only needed the hoist for 24 hours. I can understand charging a premium for short term rental but I dont see why a vulnerable person, on already low income should be forced to pay so much. 2nd - the man using it is very disabled and there is no refund whatsoever if he was unable to use it due to ill health (without 14 days notice that is). This could be much more user friendly IMO. But if you want it for a couple weeks and not concerned about the refund policy, then fine.
See reply below from them - as is so often the case - few are willing to really consider feedback. They are charging excessively to vulnerable people with inflexible terms and coating it. It makes feedback kind of pointless. It is possible to genuinely consider feedback and wonder whether terms can change - which is the point - not to complain, which is pointless.

We completely understand your comments regarding the hire period and appreciate that in your circumstances, only needing the equipment for 24 hours can make the minimum hire feel expensive. Our minimum hire period helps cover the costs involved in delivering, collecting, cleaning, servicing, safety testing, and maintaining specialist equipment, regardless of how long it is used for. We always aim to provide a reliable and fully managed service while trying to keep our pricing as competitive as possible.
With regards to our cancellation policy, we do appreciate that changes in health can happen unexpectedly, particularly for those with complex medical conditions. Once equipment has been reserved and logistics arranged, it is often no longer available for other customers, which is why our terms include notice periods. That said, we do always try to be as understanding and flexible as possible where circumstances allow and we encourage customers to contact us if their situation changes.

Superb service from Mobility Hire
Superb service from Mobility Hire. A phone call on Friday afternoon, a bed delivered by 8.15 the next morning. Immediate kind response from a real person when you phone -unlike robots elsewhere. The man who delivered the bed was also super helpful, courteous and quick.

Equipment was ready and waiting when we arrived
Equipment was delivered on time - all ready for when we arrived.
Booking was fast and efficient over the phone and then email.
Parts of the hoists were cable tied for transportation - luckily I carry scissors.
