Never thought id write a review of a hot water cylinder, but here we go,
Had my tank for around 18 months, installed by British Gas alongside a new boiler. (Had seen a YouTube video of it by good old Kryten from Red Dwarf!)
I’m so impressed with it, just leave it to do its stuff and we always have hot water, but crucially it rarely uses the whole tank, so saves a lot of money.
If we have people to stay I just boost it to heat the whole tank.
Can also control the water temp independently from the boiler using their app.

We signed up for the service contract. Later, something seemed to have gone wrong the app and connection to the immersion. Mixergy solved the problem even though it wasn’t anything to do with their equipment but the new internet hub had been wrongly connected. So persistent and helpful and the problem was sorted.

Love this kit... Got it installed via British gas who had a great deal on 0% finance and discounted tank... Install was a little bit of a faff as tank couldn't be located in prior cupboard as the pipe locations were slightly different... And existing cupboard was very tight so had to be relocated.. British gas can't put in loft so had half a day trying to relocate tank...

Once it was in... Wow. I went from a vented to unvented cylinder so first thing it immediately increased pressure. Second thing it stopped a weid leak from header tank that we had in the loft that no one could fix.... Mixergy specific... The speed of tank to heat up is fab... I'm on octopus tariffs and the bill has changed from gas bill of £1.20 a day to heat tank to 30p and from luke warm to Hot water. ... The efficiency of the immersion is 3 times that of my gas supply.... I had no idea. ( and yes I have an efficient condensing boiler just heat transfer wasn't effective). Warning though first week is a bit of a learning curve.

Playing with settings and my bill went up week one... The learning mechanism doesn't kick in till week 3 ish and then you can kinda forget about it. The mixergy team were very helpful as BG had a bit of trouble activating and they helped to remotely activate. They've also offered to send me some code to help integrate octopus better.. (nice but I don't know how to use the code). The strato "tech" is simple but does work. If you can go for a bigger tank as they would be great to soak up excess solar or if you have guests to charge over night.. I went for 180ltr which I think is great to heat overnight but about a 3 person tank if not heating during day... I now only use electric to heat tank and for me with interest free payment it pretty much pays for itself in savings...

Nb tank is more expensive than most on market but compared to other energy saving measures is a steal

A great idea, an excellent company to deal with at every stage of the process.

Our Mixergy cylinder was fitted in late June and the follow up from Mixergy since installation has been excellent. Rob our ( very patient! ) "go to" techie has been instrumental in building our confidence in using this technology and the benefits it will deliver.
Early days for us with this technology and we are already HUGELY impressed with the customer service we have received and the potential this very clever device has to deliver energy savings and reduce our carbon footprint going forward.
Looking forward to our Mixergy future !

Fantastic Product

I've had a Mixergy hot water tank since moving into my new build house. I specifically requested this hot water tank after watching youtube videos and reading the reviews. It's very efficient and adds a degree of intelligence to a once dumb piece of equipment.

The support staff are very helpful and very knowledgable about the product.

I would like to state how happy I am with my Mixergy tank. The service I received was excellent. Rob was fantastic. Both Ren & Rob are always helpful with any queries & go above & beyond. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We had our Mixergy Tank installed in July 2019 and just over a year later, in Nov 2020 I wrote a fairly glowing review about my user experience.

Well, move forward another 18 months or so to July 2022 and I now have 3 years of Mixergy experience under my belt.

My view remains unchanged in that this hot water tank is literally marvellous. It provides the hot water we need, when we need it, it is efficient and it is flexible. I run it on gas when it suits and when the sun is shining and/or electricity is cheap, I run it on electricity.

That said, I had a small hiccup this week when the Immersion side of the Tank stopped working. A quick email to Mixergy (I have Mixergy Care Plus cover) and later the same day I was on a FaceTime call with the very knowledgeable and very friendly Ren (providing remote tech support for me but who is really Head of Operations and Research).

In two minutes flat, Ren diagnosed the problem and to my absolute surprise, Ren said he would pop round the following afternoon and fix it.

Well, that was today - Ren turned up as promised and made the repair to my Immersion.

It is not often I am so pleasantly surprised but Mixergy delivered yet again. Not only is the Tank brilliant but so is their customer service!

I recognise that when I bought my Tank in 2019, I was an early adopter. With that comes risk but my risk paid off and I could not be happier with my decision, the product and the fantastic support from the team.

Our Mixergy tank was installed a couple of months ago and it has been a revelation. Not only do we save a fortune by only heating the water that we need, but we also have hot water every time we need it. Having replaced a traditional hot water cylinder that took ages to heat, emptied very quickly and left us cold in the shower, I cannot recommend highly enough. We’ve since had Solar PV and battery storage added to our ecosystem, so we now charge our tank with free excess solar electricity when the sun is shining!

We are a heating company based on the south coast and have been fitting mixergy cylinders for just about a year now. And we are very happy with how easy the mixergy cylinders are to install. we get great support from all staff at mixergy if we have any question. there delivery has improved massively. and we will continue to be an installer of mixergy cylinder. keep up all the hard work. our customer love that your cylinder is saving them so much money.

This tank is brilliant! You have so much control over your hit water and a volume measure us so much better than just heating based on a timer. I'm sure this will pay for itself by wasting less energy over the long term. We later added a small solar array with an Eddi to the tank and everything works flawlessly with free hot water during the spring/summer. Customer service is also nothing short of amazing. I had a problem with the setup of the tank with the Eddi and Ren from mixergy came over after work the same day (luckily live close by) and had a look. It was completely my fault for setting the temperatures incorrectly but Ren was kind enough to check the whole setup to make sure everything was installed and running correctly. Can't thank him enough!

Recently had a 210l tank installed, and really impressed so far. App works brilliantly to monitor and control the water. Great that it's future proofed for heat pump and PV when we get them installed. Currently just using the immersion built in but even that is working well by itself and is a massive improvement on our previous set up.
Customer support has also been excellent, resolving an initial issue we had with the sensor the same day.

Great bit of kit giving you control over exactly how much hot water you use and therefore how much you need! Will save loads on energy bills, especially when used with solar.

We have had a Mixergy tank for 18 months now, replacing an old unpressurised hot water tank. It is incredibly efficient and energy-saving focused. The app is extremely straightforward, allowing control from your phone. The support from the technical team has been prompt and in easy to understand explanations.

Company are very good. A friend who’s a gas engineer told me about a new cylinder he’d heard of that was really good and, as I was in the market for one, I got one of these. Yes, it’s more expensive than most, but it’s also way more energy efficient. We’ve since moved to an air source heat pump, too, which makes it even more efficient. When the tank arrived it was slightly damaged, which was a result of the courier, and mixergy sent someone to fix it asap (having asked if I wanted a replacement instead). They were very good and offered me a small refund as a goodwill gesture. They are responsive and on it. Have to say, they are very good and I would recommend.

I came across this company and tank whilst looking to get a larger tank to replace my megaflow.
I've had it in a month or so now and I absolutely love it. Who'd have thought monitoring the hot water in your tank could be interesting. I'm the next week, I'll be connecting the solar panels via your Eddi to it and I am expecting that to work very well.
The customer service team are very responsive.
Highly recommended for future proofing your hot water system.

We’ve had a Mixergy retrofitted system that can monitor the water level in our existing (megaflo) hot water tank. Before we could not accurately monitor the hot water level.
This was fitted in May 2021 and has proved to be so useful and helpful in our guest house.
This Mixergy system means that we can see how much hot water we have left in the tank and can top it up when it gets low.
We are not working blind guessing how much hot water to heat now and not wasting gas and electric heating excess water when we don’t need to. This means we save energy and money!

This is my review of the Mixergy tank and the company.
The tank was installed in the early part of December (2021) by a local company. The installation of the tank went with no issues and has been performing well using the machine learning schedule.
Initially I did have a problem with the tank taking hours to raise the temperature (and charge), but after a phone call with Ren at Mixergy the problem was solved (and fixed) in a matter of minutes. Apparently it helps if the temperature in the boiler is higher than the target temperature of the tank!
My tank has a solar diverter that can use spare energy generated by my solar PV panels. It works really well (when the sun shines of course), although I did have an email exchange with David at Mixergy to get my head straight how it works. I use a Solar iBoost+ device that detects any energy that is being exported back to the grid, and it is that energy that the tank will use. So as many reviewers have said - free hot water.
I think the Mixergy tank is a brilliant piece of technology and the Mixergy company staff extremely friendly (and patient) and open to suggestions for possible enhancements.

We installed our tank in June and it's worked perfectly so far. The web based app is intuitive, easy to use and makes it easy to view your hot water energy use over time. The manual controller which comes with the tank is also very helpful and helps visualise how much water is available. The tank has helped us change our habits and we now waste a lot less energy heating unnecessary hot water. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting a new tank.

Since installing a Mixergy hot water tank in July, I've been absolutely delighted with the way it's performed. The ability to use both a web-based and app-based interface provides great control over the tank both through setting your own schedules or allowing the tank to learn about your behaviour to optimise its use. I also love the way in which it's been "future proofed" in its ability to take heat inputs from gas boilers, mains electricity, solar PV and heat pumps. For me personally it's been the ability to use in combination with solar PV and a Myenergi Eddi that's meant that I've been able to generate all our hot water for a longer part of the year than I would have expected.
Great product and a great company that I'd be happy to recommend.
