Charged twice

I recently had an issue using a machine when I was charged twice, however it was dealt with so promptly after contacting the Me Group UK without delay and the staff were so helpful and understanding.
Without any delay the duplicate cost was refunded back to me with no hesitation.
I was so pleased with the customer service provided

Unlawful and shocking customer experience

Currently in dispute with this organisation. I had passport photos taken in a booth that was marketed as Me-Group. The printed photos clearly stated that if there were any issues to contact me-group. The gov.uk website would not accept the photos so I reached out for help as per the details printed in the photos. Me-group then advised they would refund me but on application of this they backtracked saying the post office in which their booth was located owned the machine and that I should request a refund from that post office.
Had it been clearly stated that the post office company was responsible then I would have no issue. However the service I chose was marketed as a me-group service, up to and including their contact details being on the photos taken, with reference to the resolution of any photo issues being to contact me-group. Come on me-group - get to grips with consumer rights and the relevant legislation! Very, very poor.

We pride ourselves on fast, efficient customer service, so I am sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience.

Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding with regard to the booth location that you used when the offer of a refund was provided. On further investigation the Photo-me booth you used at Berryden Post Office, Aberdeen is not owned by Me Group. This booth is owned by the post office.

Our customer service team contacted you as soon as possible to notify you of this and explained that you will need to return to the post office in order to claim a refund as they own the machine.

Once again please accept our sincere apologies for the confusion.

Overpayment in photobooth

The contactless payment in the photobooth was not working correctly and kept asking me to present my card or insert my card. This happened 3 times before I received the message that my payment had been successful and that my photo's were being printed. On checking my online banking, I found I had been charged 3 times. I contacted MeGroup customer service straight away who advised I would be refunded £20.

Passport photo not acceptable

Had a problem with my passport photo as there was too much shine on them, contacted the company and they refunded my money no problem their customer service was spot on, wish other companies were as quick to help you as they were with me

The person on the end of the phone was helpful and patient with someone who didn’t know what they were doing
Sad thing is that passport office rejected the photo so I have to start again I hope I manage to load it without help

Fabulous service from Contact Cente

Contacted the customer service regarding a query I had regarding the code in the photos. Got a reply almost instantly with advice as I had used the wrong option. Also asked whether I required a refund. Could not be more impressed with the service I received.

I just simply don’t believe this…

I just simply don’t believe this company! I used their launderette and they took money for 3 machines when I only used one machine. Trying to get a refund is a nightmare so watch out because actually it is stealing taking money from your debit card!

My PhotoMe experience

The PhotoMe photobooth I used appeared to be faulty as it gave us ID pictures with some cosmetic errors, however after emailing the customer service team I was provided with great support and directed to a refund.
If not for the cosmetic issues with the ID photos, the photobooth was ok!

Rip off

Absolutely ridiculous website, obviously designed to offer no help whatsoever! Wouldn’t bother using the photo-me booths as just a waste of money. Taken photos on 30.5.24 still code not working on the 3.6.24, then had to pay again for another one and again code is not working and no way to contact anyone as the phone number directs you to a website to use an online chat that is open Monday-Friday from 10-4 but when trying to use it on a Monday at 10:45 their chat is ‘closed’

Unfortunately, between Saturday 1st and Monday 3rd of June the Gov.uk ID upload service experienced a fault.
When customers entered their code they received a message prompting them to take another photo. This was a Gov.uk issue and completely out of our hands.

Due to this, Me-Group was inundated by customers requesting a refund and as a result, we temporarily closed our webchat service on Monday 3rd June. Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience caused.

I am pleased to confirm that the Gov.uk have now rectified this issue and codes are now working.

Frustrating and Ineffective Website Experience

The website is absolutely terrible. The location search feature using a postcode is completely useless on any platform or browser, whether it's Chrome, Safari, or Edge. Requesting a refund is an infuriating ordeal, forcing me to enter my email address multiple times. This obnoxious process seems intentionally designed to frustrate customers and prevent refunds. Their so-called customer service number is a joke, only playing an automated message that sends you back to the useless website. An utterly hopeless experience!

The responded to my emails within minutes

The responded to my emails within minutes each time that I sent one. Unfortunately they were unable to help me as the on-line, digital photos are deleted after 30 days and it was over two months later that I contacted them.

I had problems down loading photos …

I had problems down loading photos ,customer service was very helpful and Explained what to do ..but it turned out I needed to do it on a laptop not a phone or tablet .
Highly recommend 👌

Customer Services excellent

Customer Services were very quick to respond to my initial query sent by email. The photo ID wouldn’t work but eventually after a few attempts did.
Helpdesk friendly and efficient.

Great customer service support

Great customer service support, had a problem with my code on passport pictures and email was send with quick reply. Just waiting on a refund to retake pictures.

Photo-Me Uncontactable

I had photos done for a new passport in a Photo-Me booth and they were excellent and accepted by the Passport Office. However......
this company cannot be contacted - the phone number on the printed photos is for dry cleaning machines, a google search gives a landline which is recorded message and cut off, and the online chat no longer works. Also, the e mail address does not exist.
The photos are deleted from their records after 30 days and I simply cannot find a way to download to my computer.
The query options on the website are no help with this question. Update:
I did manage to contact them and they advised me to contact gov.uk -who have advised the only way is to take a copy of the photo as you upload it, but before completing submit. After that it cannot be accessed.
Ultimately good service and photo-me responded to this review - hence the update.

Thank you for your feedback, We pride ourselves on fast, efficient customer service, so I am sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience.

We do provide our contact information on the machines with QR codes for a link to your website help page. I understand you came through to the customer service team on our webchat service and were guided through how to access your digital image on the gov.uk website. Information regarding how your digital image is accessed is also provided on screen in the booth.

The booths do state on screen that the code is only valid for 30 days. This information is also provided on your photo printout. This requirement is made by the government/passport office and not by Me Group. The passport office has always required an up-to-date photo with a limited time set and for GDPR reasons, we cannot hold on to customer's digital images.
