Terrible Customer Service
First of all, bags are not full up, you get less than what you paid for. I have called them previous to advise they don't provide weight ticket to prove you're getting what they claim. Some bags are shortchanged. Then their customers service always sends snide remarks on email about terms and conditions. There's plenty of other gravel webites that can get my custom from now on.

For safety and compliance reasons, we are unable to fill bulk bags to the very top when supplying heavier materials, as doing so would result in the bag being significantly overweight. Bulk bags are designed to carry a wide range of products, all of which have different bulk densities.
By way of example, building sand has a much lower bulk density than the granite pebbles you purchased. As a result, 850kg of building sand will occupy considerably more space within a bulk bag than 850kg of granite. Although the volume may appear different, the supplied weight remains accurate. The weight of your bag was clearly stated on the delivery documentation provided.
We note that concerns regarding volume versus weight appear to have arisen in other reviews you have left elsewhere. The relationship between weight and volume can understandably cause confusion, particularly with denser aggregates, which is why we clearly state the supplied weight within our product descriptions and paperwork.
We did not receive a standard enquiry raising this issue prior to the review being posted. The only correspondence received consisted of messages containing inappropriate language, which unfortunately made it difficult to address the matter constructively. We are always happy to clarify any questions in advance, and this could have been resolved quickly had we been given the opportunity to do so.
Excellent service
Excellent service, ordering process was well documented and on the day I chose for delivery I received a call informing me what time it would arrive. Delivery was prompt and professionally managed.

Over 6 years of great service and product
Been using MA for many years now with easy ordering and delivery always on time/schedule. Good price with realistic delivery prices too. Recommend buying multiple bags of stone to get a good mix of sizes as a single bag sometimes can just be mainly small or mainly large pieces as is the nature of the product.

Efficient Friendly service

Paid for Gabion york stone received slush
Paid £180 for Gabion York Stone. What i received was more like DOT1 hardcore. Most of the bag was either small pebble size or just aggregated slush. Managing Director didn't seem to want to own the problem so i had to involve my credit card company.
After going to all the trouble of emptying out all the sludge they wanted me to refill the bag again so they could collect it. 850kg hand balling out and then back in again. They even said they would weigh it to check I wasn't diddling them!
They never even apologised.
Was accused by their MD of running some kind of scam whereby I get a few stones for free. Thats a new one on me.
What an outfit!

When the issue was raised, we offered to collect the material and provide either a full refund or a replacement, in line with our standard resolution process. The only option requested was to retain the material while also receiving a refund, which unfortunately is not something we’re able to offer.
The subsequent use of the material indicated that it was suitable for the intended job and constituted acceptance of the product. At no point did we suggest any improper intent, however, a refund without return of goods is not a practice accepted by any retailer.
We made genuine efforts to resolve the matter fairly and directly, and while we regret that the outcome was not what you were hoping for, we remain committed to working constructively with our customers. Should you wish to discuss the matter further, we’re always happy to do so.

Cancelled an order with 24 hrs noticed…
Cancelled an order with 24 hrs noticed but was still charged £700 for cancelation even though the lorries were not even loaded yet....
Cancellations were due to dodgy tradesmen unable to do the quoted work. Unfortunately it had nothing to do with planning but idiot tradesmen!

A very disappointing review. This order was not cancelled once, but 3 times on 3 separate dates. The last cancellation was so late in the day that it was impossible for us to rearrange a days work for 2 trucks. The 2 vehicles organised to make these deliveries need to earn approx £600.00/day to break even. The charges levied didn't even cover the £1200.00 in costs which our haulier charged us. Better on site planning would have avoided any costs. Seems pretty unfair that we get a negative review when it is clearly your tradesmen that were the problem.

Ordered 3 bulk bags of Lancashire pebble 20/40mm. I can’t fault the communication, service or quality of the product. I had my delivery day emailed & the driver called 1 hour in advance to tell me when he would arrive. All 3 pallets put exactly where I wanted. It was faultless.

Very pleased with pink/grey granite chippings
I was looking for some 20mm-30mm pink granite chippings but couldn’t find any on line. Compared prices for smaller 14mm-20mm and Mainland Aggregates appeared good value. Ordered three 850kg bulk bags. Arrived on the day advised and the delivery driver was really friendly and helpful, placing the pallets exactly where I wanted them. To my surprise the chippings were the larger 20-30/40mm size, so well chuffed. The bags were well filled and the quality of the granite was consistent from top to bottom and across all three bags. Just wish there was an easier way of getting over 2.5 tonnes of the product out of the bulk bags and 40 metres to the end of the garden other than a shovel, buckets and a wheel barrow. Very happy but knackered. Would recommend Mainland Aggregates and would certainly use them again

Fantastic service!
Arrived on the specified day and bag was full as should be.
This is my 3rd order from you guys and the only thing I can criticise is that the first 2 times the pallets were damaged on delivery. But this time it seemed a stronger one which is good.
I recently used a competitor who couldn’t deliver on time and I’m sure the bag wasn’t full. It was nice to come back to you and get a smooth and perfect service!

Fantastic Service
We found this company online after visiting many local garden and DIY centres who quoted extortionate prices for delivery or the pebbles themselves. This company were reasonably priced on both counts, delivery was within a few days and the driver left them exactly where we asked, highly recommend this company.
