Freepik or Magnific same terrible service

For Freepik or Magnific (whatever they’re called now, the client doesn’t matter), they did a brand refresh without notifying premium paying users and of course I’ve lost the passwords and user linked to the account. Naturally, contacting support only leads to automated replies that don’t actually solve the issue. New name, same terrible service!

Charged Twice After Upgrading Plan

I upgraded from the Essential plan to the Premium plan, but instead of only charging me for the upgrade, I was charged for both plans. I tried contacting customer support, but it doesn’t seem like there’s any human support available. The AI chatbot created a support case, but I still haven’t received any response or refund.

Please don’t ask me to email support, as I’ve already done that. Overall, this has been a very unpleasant customer support experience.

shocking. you cant do anything without being asked to make a pay plan. everything you do you need to be a member for. freepik was far better.

Freepik (now Magnific) is A Study in Corporate Discourtesy

Freepik launched with enough promise to earn loyalty. It didn't keep it. My annual subscription was set to expire on 29 April 2026. It was terminated on 28 April, one day early, with over 500,000 credits still in my account. This is not a rounding error. This is a billing discrepancy, and one I raised directly with their support team, to no reply.

In the hours I spent trying to exhaust those remaining credits, I noticed that Google Veo 3 and Seedance 2.0 were both generating errors for quite a few hours of the day. Whether by coincidence or design, the platform's most capable tools became inaccessible precisely when I needed them most.

I agree, I should have used my credits steadily across the year. But I held off because the features, frankly, weren't there yet. Even today, character consistency on native Gemini 3.1 Flash Image outperforms what Freepik delivers after considerable effort. I waited, the platform improved, they added genuinely useful features and a training academy, and then my subscription ended (a day early) before I could meaningfully use any of it.

I was a subscriber before their latest investment round. Every time their feedback prompt appeared, I responded honestly. That kind of customer deserves, at minimum, a reply to a complaint email. Freepik sent none.

What makes all this worse is that unlimited features of their Premium+ tier have been rolled back, functionality capped, AND Premium+ pricing increased. The pattern is familiar. The answer is straightforward: find an alternative and do so before they find another creative way to shorten your billing cycle.

Update: As noted, this is about ending the contract early, not about the carry over of any credits.

I can't use my subscription

I can't use my subscription. I've validated my subscription with a personalized email, and reached the main menu. When I've disconnected my browser and came back, it asked me to sign in again. Since I've not been prompt to create a password, I've asked a reset password. I'm not getting the link and therefore can't setup my password.
I contacted support 2 times and each time it's an automatic response email explaining me how to reset password by asking reset email!!!!
I'm blocked and can't use my subscription.

L'IA Freepik n'est pas assez puissante

L'IA Freepik n'est pas assez puissante, peux importe le nombre de détail que vous allez écrire dans votre prompt, le résulat final est trop loin des attentes. Il n'est possible de générer des belles productions qu'a partir des templates qu'ils proposent, hormis cela il vous sera difficile de créer quelque chose a la hauteur de vos idées. Mon expérience, n'est pas l'une des meilleures. Trop de petits bugs, incohérence, impossibilitée d'utiliser certain modèle d'IA, crédits qui s'en vont alors que l'IA me reproduit exactement la même image que mon premier prompt.

Wants to change 2k generation from…

Wants to change 2k generation from unlimited to credits based while the site CONSTANTLY crashes. I don't mind paying, but at least give a workable website. The crashes have messed up my deadlines so many times.

Hidden charges and terrible supportd extra credits

Freepik added extra credits to my account and charged me without any prior notification or clear consent. I used them thinking they were part of my monthly plan, as the UI is intentionally confusing. When I asked for a refund, support was dismissive and refused to help. This is a predatory billing practice designed to trick users. Avoid if you care about your money transparency.

Bait and Switch? Features downgraded immediately after upgrading to Annual Plan

​I have been a satisfied Freepik Premium+ monthly user for the past 3 months. I specifically relied on the 2K resolution for Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 (Unlimited Fully), along with the high queue capacity (1000x Queue Skip) . Because I was happy with the service, I decided to switch an annual subscription to "lock in" these benefits and support the platform.
​I even took a screenshot of the pricing page before purchasing for show to my friends, which clearly showed these features were included. However, as soon as I paid approximately 13,000 TRY for the yearly plan, my benefits were stripped away.
​The downgrade is shocking:
​Nano Banana Pro is no longer unlimited.
​Nano Banana 2 has been downgraded from 2K to 1K resolution.
​I feel completely misled. I paid for a premium experience and received a downgraded version of what I had before. This is a classic "bait and switch" tactic.
​I have already contacted support, and I am waiting for a resolution. I either want the features I paid for (as advertised) assigned back to my account immediately, or I want a full refund and taking back the monthly one I was using so I can return to my previous monthly arrangement.
​Do not upgrade to annual until this is fixed. I have the screenshots to prove what was promised versus what was delivered. And this blocks my work schedule a lot. Ticket no 01584808

I am a contributor working with Freepik and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing.

I am a contributor working with Freepik and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing.

Freepik applied a 24% IRNR withholding tax on my earnings despite me providing a valid tax residence certificate covering the relevant period.

When I requested clarification and the official withholding document (Certificado de retenciones IRNR), Freepik clearly stated that they do not provide such a document.

At the same time, they continue to claim that the withholding was correct based on their internal procedures.

This situation raises serious concerns, as withholding tax should be properly documented and reported.

Additionally, my case has been repeatedly delayed. I have received multiple responses such as “we are working on your case”, but no actual resolution has been provided.

Key issues in this case:

• 24% tax withheld without proper documentation
• refusal to provide IRNR withholding certificate
• inconsistent and contradictory responses
• prolonged handling of the case without resolution

As a contributor, I find this unacceptable.

I hope Freepik will finally provide a proper and fair resolution.

Additionally, I would like to clearly state that repeating generic responses such as “we are working on your case” is not a solution.

This case has already been delayed multiple times without any real outcome. I expect a concrete resolution, not further standard replies.

If this matter is not properly resolved, I will proceed with submitting the case to the Spanish Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria) for verification.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend working with Freepik to other contributors.

Meine Tochter hat uns für unseren Hund ein Geschirr gekauft das nach 2 Wochen zerissen war mit Karte bezahlt nachweisbar sie wollte reklamieren und wurde sehr unfreundlich behandelt. Natütlich glaubt man nicht das nach so kurzer Zeit ein Artikel für 50 Euro kaputt geht. Filialeiter nicht vor Ort und nichts zu machen. Wir werden unseren Bekannten und das sind ziemlich viele, davon abraten in dieser Filiale in Andritz weiter einzukaufen.
Normalerweise versucht man eine Lösung zu finden hier leider Fehlanzeige!

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Freepik.

First, I encountered an issue with my account that prevented me from using Seedance 2, which is the main reason I subscribed. The problem has been ongoing for days with no clear explanation, which is already frustrating.

What is completely unacceptable is that I was charged €128 for additional credits without my consent. The automatic recharge option is disabled on my account, and I have never enabled it.

Despite this, I was still billed as if it was active. There was no warning and no confirmation, just a charge.

So not only am I unable to use the feature I paid for, but I am also being charged extra for something I explicitly did not authorize.

This raises serious concerns about how billing is handled. I strongly advise others to be careful and monitor their account closely.

I am currently waiting for a refund and a proper explanation.

AI Generation support

I rarely leave reviews but this experience needs to be shared.

I subscribed to a Business plan to use Seedance for a client project. After subscribing I was told I had to switch to a business email which was not clearly mentioned before. I did it within an hour but then had no access or solution for more than 30 hours.

During that time I used a lot of credits trying to find alternatives and ended up missing my client deadline which impacted my work and credibility.

What disappointed me the most is the support. For almost 3 days I mainly received generic responses with no real help or urgency.

In the end I was given 4000 credits which is basically the equivalent of one Seedance 2.0 generation so it feels very low compared to the impact.

Coming from a competing platform with much faster and more effective support this was very frustrating especially for the price.

AI and stock content

Great browser software for AI products, along with stock content, but the auto-purchase is extremely shady and I feel borderline illegal in the states. Make sure you tick it off and are aware of any auto-renewals.

And zero stars are too much for these scammers.
I had a contributor account with them for over 2 years. I started by testing a few packaging mockup files (about 20) that were made to all their requirements and at a high level. Then I added texture files. I had some sales, but Freepik pays so little that in those 2 years I collected 2 euros. Now their measly two euros are left with them because Freepik deleted my contributor profile without giving me an explanation of where the problem was and without giving me the opportunity to correct it. Their support is not worth it. They are complete idiots. Freepik are complete scammers. I also use them as a resource for graphic materials - their quality is very bad. Their mockups are way worse than mine, which they deleted.
Stay away from these scammers.
