Really feel as though you are dealing with a professional company and hoepfully will be delighted when it is fitted with how well it performs. Based on delivery, great service so far. I'm refurbing my kitchen and have had some appalling experiences with delivery and products being damaged. The driver of my new beautiful white Luxair cooker hood, opened the packaging and we went through its condition before he left. He was a really helpful guy.
We're yet to install the cooker hood which i'm hoping will go without issues.

Luxair Downdraft Repair out of warranty
Easy online form to log issue with our 2017 Downdraft . Including videos. Immediate acknowledgement of request and clear process shared for next steps. Really helpful to speak directly with the engineer regarding the fault allowing for a clear pre visit diagnosis. An appointment was arranged within the schedule expected. The engineers on the day were well prepared and dealt with the fault professionally. Really pleased with the support and advice they provided. As the pre paid part was not required an immediate refund was sorted. We are pleased we paid more for the initial down draft as the follow up customer services are of a high standard. I wanted to replace my extractor cooker…
I wanted to replace my extractor cooker hood like for like, original also from Luxair and had 12 years. From first contact with customer service I had every assistance in helping me. I ordered online with no problem, delivery was as planned. I then decided after delivery that I would also have Luxair to fit.

Brilliant company, the delivery driver was so helpful with all the information he gave us to get the best from our new cooker hood, he carried it in for us asked where we wanted it and gave me confidence in the brand. I called about registering the warranty and was told it starts from the installation date not the purchase date, how amazing is that, I have never came across that before ever. Big thumbs up from me.

Appalling Customer Service
So disappointed with the installation and attitude of this company after paying £150 for a survey and £617 upfront before they installed our cooker hood and then refused to even look at their work after we complained that it was totally unacceptable. We paid £150 for a survey and were given 2 choices. There was no top recommendation or any reason why we would have any issues with either choices. The engineer arrived on a Friday afternoon and was less than friendly from the start. Both myself and husband were home and having said we’d be in other rooms let him get on with it. At some point he decided he needed to chisel away inside the chimney, made no attempt to let us know despite the fact we came into the room several times, or shut any doors or let us know it was going to get dusty. The entire bottom floor of the house was covered in thick dust, food had to be chucked and 4 hours of cleaning after he left. No apologies was forth coming and it was obvious he just wanted to go. I remarked that the gap between the side of the hood and ceiling was big and would he be able to seal it correctly, considering we had paid £150 for a survey. After he’d gone we realised he’d just used builders caulk which would never cure in such a big space. It’s still soft after a week and the painter says that it will just deteriorate and is useless. A similar situation happened with a window installation and the company were back the next day sorting it. These guys made no apology for the mess and refused to come back to even assess our concerns. I’ve never given a bad review on any company and so disappointed when you try to support a local business. Stay clear is my advice!we’re taking them to the small claims court.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and as per our email correspondence we reiterate we are saddened to hear you are disappointed.
We do feel that we must again address the two points you’ve raised:
Finish / filling material -
The material used is a standard decorators’ caulk, which is designed to remain flexible rather than fully hardening. In areas where gaps are deeper, it can take longer to cure and may remain slightly soft to the touch. Given the cooker hood you chose is not designed to be installed in the setup that you have, extra caulk was required to accommodate your installation. You chose a cooker hood with a curvature to be fitted into a chimney breast; caulk is what would be used as standard to fill the gap between the straight chimney breast and the curve of the cooker hood. When cooking takes place and the cooker hood is warm, you need to allow for expansion of the cooker hood due to heat, using a material such as Polyfiller wouldn’t work as this would crack. Hence the need for something that is flexible and allows for heat expansion and vibration. Furthermore, it is our understanding that you did not want the glass itself installing which means as standard there would be even more of a gap needing to be filled.
As discussed with our engineers prior to installation, we did recommend alternative models that would have avoided or significantly reduced the need for this level of structural alteration (the ceiling type that can be installed within canopy-style setups). The option you chose involved more invasive work.
Dust -
We need to be clear on this point Mr Abbott, the work carried out involved cutting and grinding into a concrete lintel within a chimney breast. This type of work will always generate dust it is an inherent and unavoidable part of the process, not a result of poor workmanship.
While we understand your position, it is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure that the working area is clear and that items such as food or belongings are protected or removed prior to works of this nature being undertaken. This is standard practice for any installation involving building or structural modification and this is not a requirement that is specific to us/Luxair. Dust sheets or similar protect the working area from any immediate damage however, dust itself remains in the air for hours to come and would’ve settled on the surfaces in the hours after our engineers leaving meaning that unfortunately, cleaning would need to take place regardless of any preventative measures our engineer could use during installation. Of course, opening windows (had they been available) would’ve help with airflow to the outside of the property. Our engineers were unable to open any windows in the vicinity as these were painted closed therefore unusable.
We appreciate this is not the outcome you were hoping for and sincerely apologise that you remain unhappy with the installation or service provided.

Recently purchased a ceiling extractor for our kitchen island and the quality of the hood was excellent.

Excellent customer service
We have a ceiling extractor from Luxair which is almost 10 years old now. It’s worked flawlessly and I love how powerful it is to clear steam and cooking smells from an open plan kitchen/living area. The cover is easily opened to allow the filters to be removed and put in the dishwasher. I contacted Luxair to say that the cover now won’t stay shut as the grommets are greasy and worn. They immediately offered to send another two grommets in the post. Fabulous customer service, I’m impressed with both the ceiling hood and the company response.

Top class service
I have had my Luxair Extractor hood for a number of years now without any need to contact Luxair due to issues. I have contacted them recently, but not because of any problem, just to update the halogen lights in the hood to LED.
First of all allow me to express how much of a pleasure it is to deal with them, it's an absolute breath of fresh air to have such wonderful professionalism in today's markets.
When ordering the conversion kit, I made an error in the order which was spotted by someone at Luxor, instantly I was contacted for verification, then reimbursement was made for the overpayment of parts not required.
Now, within 24 hours of asking for guidance with an issue, I have received a reply with guidance to the cause of my problem.
