They are utterly useless and have a blatant disregard for safety. They fail to maintain their managed properties, do not respond to emergencies adequately, have little or no concern for the quality of service they provide and are utterly incompetent. If they manage the common areas in a property you are considering buying or renting you would be better off buying a tent and living in the street. At least it would be cleaner and better serviced.

Absolutely useless factor. They have increased the price of the factor many times and provided zero services through the pandemic. They sent most their staff home while claiming furlough while still charging full factor fee's. Assuming they made a nice fat profit from this. Probably why they only really decided to come back to work once the furlough scheme dried up.
They are supposed to "mitigate" between neighbors but refuse to actually do anything other than send out the occasional letter. Half the time they send letters out the day before a due date so by the time the letter arrives its already too late to call in.
Most of the staff can be very rude over the phone (if you manage to get through to them) and they seem to have bought over most the factors around Glasgow, creating a monopoly of money hungry lazy uselessness.

I've phoned Lowther on Tuesday 5th October in the morning asking for a repair, as our drainage was blocked, and we had human waste coming through our bathroom sink, and shower. I've explained that is clearly a health risk for us and our 2 year old boy. On Wednesday we called again as nobody came. After the 2nd call on Wednesday, we've been told us they just put now our repair as an emergency. How could it not be an emergency repair when you have human waste coming through your sink and shower? It's Thursday 7th October, and nobody came to repair our drain. Not only that, but this is a reaccuring issue. Only in August we had 2 weeks in a row fixed the drain.A few months ago we had a private company do it, and they told us there is a brick and roots blocking the main drainage, and until that is not fixed it can block anytime. In August I've passed that information over the phone. They told me it will be investigated. It clearly hasn't, since we didn't even received an estimate cost of the repair, and it's the 3rd time we have our drain repaired since August

We are considering taking this fraudulent company to court. Quoted £4000 for rough casting a 12 foot by 0.5 foot balcony facing ( I could get a private company to rough cast the whole front and back building for £3000. The charged £1600 to repair 1 quarter of the down pipe, they charged £68 for a roof repair ( the repair was laying down plastic tarpaulin to catch the water) << that is not a repair.
The repairs are amateurish. Garden maintenance hacked at bushed, chopped us rose bush, partly cut grass, left the cut grass in the garden (I could get a landscaper for half the price) << this is getting cancelled after this year.
The worst
If I could give them zero stars I would. They do not send anyone out to fix property until it's too late, then you are left with a damaged flat and they just ignore you. Yes, I know we're currently going through a pandemic which makes services more challenging however issues with Lowther Homes started as soon as they took over my block -- in 2019; before lockdown. It is fair to say that they are a totally incompetent organisation. If you're happy with promised call backs that do not happen, a damaged flat that you are basically left to deal with by yourself, if you want zero communication, a different story every time you call the call centre and are happy about not ever being able to speak to a manager? Then Lowther Homes is the letting agency for you.
Waited months for an essential repair…
Waited months for an essential repair to my roof, months on end and bill delayed in the post. Passed to their 'debt collection' team within 2 weeks is absolutely laughable.
Forced to buy my own fridge and freezer due to failure to carry out repair
If I could give this lot no stars I would. I realize we're in the middle of a pandemic which makes provision of property management services more challenging but apparently it's possible for Lowther Homes to carry out gas safety checks while repairs to essential white goods appear to be a different story altogether. When I reported to them that my fridge freezer had broken down almost three weeks ago now, I was told that their repairs contractor would contact me to arrange an appointment. After hearing nothing for a week I phoned a second time and was told the same thing. Nearly three weeks on I've still heard nothing and I have been forced to buy my own separate fridge and freezer as I cannot do without these when I am desperately trying to minimize my trips to my local supermarket where physical distancing is not practised by other customers. I've had some bad experiences with property managing agents over the years but this is by far the worst to date. If I'm able to have an engineer visit my flat to check my boiler and can arrange to remain out of the way in a separate room during that appointment, surely those same arrangements can work for an appointment to repair or replace my fridge freezer? To be left high and dry in such a situation without any attempt to even contact me is completely unacceptable.
