Waste of money

We visited Legoland Windsor a couple of days ago with my four-year-old daughter and it really disappointing.

The wait times for some rides were as long as 75 minutes, but rides themselves lasted only a couple of minutes, some were less than a minute, and weren’t worth the wait. Most felt poorly executed, unimaginative and underwhelming.

The one exception was Flight of the Sky Lion, which was genuinely brilliant. It’s an immersive ride and was easily the highlight of our day. Unfortunately, the rest of the rides we tried were nowhere near the same standard.

We were lucky enough to have Fast Track passes, but even with those, I came away feeling that the whole experience was so average. My daughter enjoyed some of the kiddie rides, but that’s about it.

The food was also ridiculously expensive and poor quality. We paid around £14 for what I think was eight small pieces of chicken, and it tasted awful.

What really stood out was how inefficiently some of the rides seemed to be run. After spending so much time queuing and watching the staff (mainly young teens)s, I can positively say that a significant part of the long wait times was down to poor organisation. Staff would take ages getting people onto the rides, carrying out the safety checks and getting everything started.

At one point, we were waiting to set off on a boat ride and the staff member operating it stopped to take a phone call while everyone sat waiting and staring at him. The ride didn’t start until he had finished his call. It was incredibly frustrating and felt completely unprofessional.

If the rides were run more efficiently, I honestly believe the wait times could be significantly reduced.

Overall, I would not recommend Legoland Windsor. For the price, the long queues, the poor food and the underwhelming rides, it just isn’t worth it. Save your money and go to a proper theme park.

WORST WORST _ BAD STAFFF

We travelled all the way from Belfast to visit LEGOLAND Windsor with our family, expecting to have an enjoyable day. Unfortunately, our experience was seriously affected by the way we were treated by staff while we were enquiring about the queue for The Race Is On!

During the incident, we were treated as though we had deliberately jumped into the middle of the queue. We were questioned and challenged about our position in the queue, despite us explaining our situation politely. At no point were we trying to avoid the queue or gain an unfair advantage.

I asked whether the CCTV cameras could be checked if there was any doubt about what had happened. However, we were told that the staff were unable to access the cameras and instead we were instructed to return to the very beginning of the queue. This would have meant waiting for a further significant amount of time, potentially around two hours, despite the fact that we had already been waiting.

What was particularly upsetting was that the matter turned into a lengthy argument lasting approximately 30 minutes to one hour. We were also told that we should discuss the matter further with the security team. Rather than trying to establish what had actually happened, we felt that we were simply being accused and dismissed.

I would particularly like to raise concerns about the conduct of Manager Jack and Georgie, who was managing The Race Is On! We felt that neither of them was willing to listen to us or consider our explanation. Jack, in particular, appeared to have already made up his mind that we had done something wrong and did not seem willing to consider our side of the situation.

As customers, we should be treated with respect and given the opportunity to explain what happened. If there was genuine uncertainty about where we had joined the queue, I believe the appropriate response would have been to investigate the situation fairly, including checking available CCTV where possible, rather than simply assuming that we were at fault and requiring our family to start the entire queue again.

The situation became extremely stressful for me. I felt overwhelmed and almost panicked during the prolonged argument, particularly because we were there as a family with children and had travelled such a long way for the visit. Instead of enjoying our day, we lost a considerable amount of our valuable time dealing with this incident.

We paid for our visit and travelled from Belfast with the expectation of having a positive family experience. Unfortunately, this incident left us feeling humiliated, distressed, discriminated against and extremely dissatisfied with the treatment we received from your staff.

I would therefore ask LEGOLAND Windsor to:

Investigate this incident thoroughly, including reviewing any available CCTV footage and staff records.
Review the conduct of Manager Jack and Georgie during the incident.
Establish whether the correct queue-management procedures were followed.
Explain why our concerns were not properly investigated before we were instructed to return to the beginning of the queue.
Consider whether appropriate customer-service training is required for the staff involved.
Provide us with a proper explanation and response regarding what happened.
I am not making this complaint simply because we were asked to wait in a queue. My concern is the way we were treated, the assumption that we were dishonest, the refusal to properly investigate our explanation, and the amount of time spent arguing with our family instead of resolving the matter professionally.

I sincerely hope LEGOLAND Windsor takes this complaint seriously. We travelled a long way to spend time together as a family, and it is extremely disappointing that the behaviour of staff left us with such a negative and upsetting memory of our visit.

I look forward to receiving a full response explaining how this incident will be investigated and what action will be taken.

Legoland – taking you for a ride, just not the ride you want…

We visited on Tuesday 25th August as a birthday celebration for our son.
Upon arrival, we went to the welcome centre to collect his birthday badge, which the lady behind the desk virtually threw at us (she should take some tips from the Americans, who at least will pretend to be interested in you as a person) and it was all downhill, literally and metaphorically, from there.
Well, actually, that is not strictly true as our favourite part of the day was looking at the Lego citiscapes at the bottom of the hill. These were truly inspirational and reminded my husband and I of Lego in years past. Our boys loved the London cityscape and spent a good while looking at it.
After this, we made our way to Merlin’s Challenge, an average ride that we queued about 40 minutes for. It did not feel worth it. Then, we rode Dragon’s Apprentice, which we queued 50 minutes for (most certainly not worth it). After 11AM, which seems to be peak arrival time for family days out almost anywhere, the volume of people steadily rose, meaning that my Legoland app was showing average wait times of at least 50 minutes for almost every ride.
Herein lies the main problem we found with our day: there are not that many rides at Legoland (32 according to Google, as compared with 39 at Drayton Manor or 38 at Paulton’s Park); they let far too many people in; they then play those people off against each other by allowing the purchase of “fast passes” (£42 per person for ONE ride all day or £125 per person for ALL rides, all day). This means that, when standing in the queue, each time the ride is letting people on, about 50% are coming on from the fast pass lane, elongating queue times for everyone else (haven’t we already paid enough for our day?).
Over all, it felt like a slick, money-grabbing operation by Merlin, not focused on your enjoyment but on their profits. They COULD offer a system whereby you book a timeslot at the start of the day for a ride, making things fairer for all but this wouldn’t be in their financial interests. Net result: we managed about 5 rides in our 6 hours there. It did NOT feel like good value for money. My son whose birthday it was, was virtually in tears over the fact the queue time for “The Dragon” stayed at a constant 75 minutes all day long and he didn’t want to stand in a queue that long being only 6.
The most impressive rides we did were the Haunted House Monster Party and the Lego City Deep Sea Adventure. The others were average fairground rides at best. Lots of the rides have absolutely no reference to Lego whatsoever: where was the Harry Potter Lego inspired section or the Star Wars inspired section, for instance? We had expected to be impressed by how Lego-themed the rides were. Instead, you often felt you could have been at any old theme park.
I have uninstalled my Legoland app and sadly we never plan to return. We have had far better days out at Drayton Manor and Paulton’s Park in recent times and will be opting to go there in future, where the amount of time spent queuing in relation to the ride time and enjoyment you get is far better. I did feel that Merlin’s greed spoilt the experience.

Legoland is a great place for the family to visit, however our visit yesterday completely ruined it for us.
I understand it is busy being the school summer holiday but the park can not cope with the capacity of visitors they are letting in. There should be a restriction on the number of tickets being sold per day so families can enjoy all the rides, not waiting 60 minutes plus on most rides. We sadly only got on 4 rides as it was just too much with small children, not to mention the hour it took to just get into the car park when we arrived.
Definatley won't be going back to pay a small fortune for park tickets to stand in queues all day and hardly experience any of the rides, and car park is a complete rip off!

Legoland fast track flexible SCAMMING!

Be aware about SCAMS the price I was charged for Gold Fastrack.
I purchased Gold Fastrack one week before our visit and paid £149. However, I noticed that the price was reduced to £125 the very next day, and it remained £125 on the day of our visit.
I find this very disappointing, particularly as I purchased the Fastrack in advance in good faith, only to find that it was subsequently being sold for £24 less. Had I known the price would be reduced so soon after my purchase, I would obviously have waited.
I made complaint to legoland, they told me it’s flexible pricing, what??? It’s flexible scamming, that’s what it is!

What a shame

I can only mirror all of the recent 1* reviews (71% of people give it 1*)
Obvious one first - it is EXPENSIVE! On top of your entry, do budget for:
£16 – Kids soft drink (“but you get to keep the plastic cup”)
£125 – Fast pass, per person, per day. Our party of 3 stayed overnight, so £750 extra.
£42 – Fast pass entry per ride as a one-off (we bought a bronze pass, which wasn’t really accepted anywhere)
£130 – Meal for three.
£10-£20 per fairground game (hook a duck, knock down cans)
£26.99 – Driving school ride
£15 – Ride photos (each)

Wait times for each ride was typically 55-65 mins per 2-3 min ride. You will realistically get 4-5 rides in a day, so plan wisely.

Little things that could be improved almost cost-free, overnight:
Give out a paper map – why on earth wouldn’t they do this?
Wristbands on entry – why not?!
The restaurant is chaos. The poor teenage servers have to shout order numbers over a gaggle of 300+ diners in an echo’y hall. If my deli-counter can have a number on a screen, a multi-billion outfit can.

The whole place was really short staffed and ran by teenagers. The place looks really tired and has barely changed in 30 years. The models are filthy and weathered. Lots doesn’t work / is out of order. Such a shame.

Accessibility Concerns for disabilities

We have visited Legoland repeatedly over the years and wanted to return as a special treat for our children. We booked our tickets three weeks ago, believing this gave us enough time to arrange everything needed for the visit.

My daughter is autistic and has a valid Access Card confirming that she needs support with queuing. This is not a request for preferential treatment or a paid fast-track service—it is a reasonable adjustment she needs to access and enjoy the park.

Since booking, I have spent more than two weeks repeatedly checking Merlin’s Ride Access Pass app, but there has been no availability. I contacted Legoland directly, clearly explained my daughter’s needs and asked what alternative support could be provided. Their response was simply to redirect me back to the same app that has no appointments.

I have now been told that I should have booked the Ride Access Pass in May. How is a family booking a visit three weeks in advance supposed to know that accessibility support needed to be reserved months before purchasing their tickets? It is completely unreasonable to sell admission tickets while the adjustments required by a disabled child are unavailable, with no alternative assistance offered.

An app-based system is not accessible if disabled guests who have already provided evidence of their needs cannot obtain the necessary adjustment because all the appointments have gone. Parents should not have to constantly refresh an app and hope for a cancellation simply to give their disabled child the same opportunity to enjoy the park as everyone else.

Legoland has offered no alternative, no practical assistance and no reassurance about what will happen if a reservation never becomes available. Repeatedly directing me back to a system that cannot help us is not customer service and does nothing to remove the accessibility barrier.

This process raises serious questions about how Legoland is meeting its responsibilities to disabled visitors. A verified reasonable adjustment should not simply disappear because an app has reached capacity.

As loyal, repeat visitors, we expected far better. What should have been an exciting treat for our children has instead become stressful and upsetting. Unless Legoland provides a proper solution, this system could prevent my daughter from enjoying the visit at all. I would strongly advise other families to check whether the accessibility support they need is available before purchasing tickets.

We have just spent the day 23/8/26 in Lego land, what a waste of a day. Just wish I had read these trust pilot reviews before we had gone. Every review I have read apart from the hotel one's I totally agreed with. I cannot believe Legoland are not reading these reviews and doing nothing to improve them. I for one won't be back and if I have anything to do with it none of my friends or family will ever visit either

Would not return

Visited on 19.8.26 with my daughter and 2 grandchildren age 6 &2. Very little that 2yr old could go on as some rides had a 0.9m height restriction for no real reason that could see. Queues were terrible- tickets already expensive but expected to pay lots more for fast passes- system just didn't work. Needs looking at from a customer point of view not a profit point of view .Staff very indifferent.Unlikely to go back-my advice would be go to Peppa Pig world instead- cleaner, no fast passes so queues move quickly and all round much more enjoyable with lots of rides little ones can go on as well as rides for older children.

Not fit for purpose

Well where to start: this was our first time visiting LEGOLAND, we arrived early to guarantee we got onto the ride my son was eager to have a go on - which we achieved quite quickly (abt 10m wait for a 2-3m ride), we then went to a second ride, waited ~an hour before being told the ride was no longer working and closed, frustrated we went for the driving licence stall where after a 40m wait the same happened- following a technician visit the ride was started but lasted around 2m where the ride stopped and was closed. We then attempted a third (different) ride, waiting around 40m before the ride was shut again. Frustrated, we went for lunch-which to say the least was a tad overpriced….
Having finished lunch the app informed us that the last ride we’d looked at had reopened with a 20m queue- so we thought we’d try again. 1hr 5 m and a technician visit later we got on our second ride (again 2-3m), following which we decided to abandon the day.
The one area that is worth visiting is the model village/world section- while these are a bit tired (they’ve clearly not been maintained- the bricks are visibly dirty, and algae build up is visible on all the model boats), the buildings of the world are well done.
To add insult to injury my son wanted to try the remote control boats in the model‘village/world’ section- paying £2 of his own pocket money to find the boat was unresponsive (battery dead?) with no one around to request to rectify.

For the amount of money charged 2x 2 -3min rides is outrageous, especially as the rides are so unreliable. If the rides are so inconsistent they shouldn’t be run until they’re fit for purpose.
Perhaps that last point could be widened further to describe the whole park……
Anyway- we won’t be back

Oh dear

Oh dear, where do I start..after three hour long drive We arrived at Dusty car park which resembled a building site which we paid £16 to park there for a few hours . The little figures were very well done , the staff however were absolutely appalling. They were like robots to the point of being rude apart from the lads doing the pitstop challenge, They were very good. The rides were appalling as we only managed to go on three as we were queueing for a couple of hours for each ride and the park was not that busy, we will never go again would not recommend anybody to waste their money on on going. The place is tired and a bit shabby really sorry to do such a bad review. It was on my husband‘s bucket list as he has a progressive illness , he wanted to go for a few years cannot express our disappointment. I feel sorry for tourists that come from other countries and visited Legoland to be disappointed.

How to make lego no fun

We visited with 3 children aged 13, 5 and 1yrs on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year. 38 degrees!
Ticket prices in no way reflect value for money and the park itself is not geared up for the capacity of people sold tickets.
Rides have very long queues for very short ride times, the food places are all run by very unenthusiastic, unhappy, teenagers or youngsters and service in them all is very slow and very poor.
Food prices are extortionate and poor value while free water refill stations have queues as long as the ride queues.
All in all a very disappointing experience.
Why cant we run these theme parks like the Americans do?
If you're not happy with your job don't do it
If you can't run a theme park don't create one.
Take notice of the reviews Legoland.....or all of you will be out of work sooner rather than later.

USELESS STAFF, OVER PRICED AND RIP OFF.

ONLY THE STAFF WHO HELPED ME RE ARRANGE MY VISIT DESERVE A PAY RISE! (and the FIRST AIDERS)
The rest of the staff members you guys have are pathetic and useless. My 11 year old son FAINTED due to the heat and i became very worried and started panicking then i found a staff member (female in Red T-Shirt) when i approached her she simply told me "You need to go to the first aid room" did not bother to tell me where it was so seeing her unprofessionalism a gentleman who seen her reply came and told me which way to go and he was just a Visitor like me!!! The First aid girls were FANTASTIC and very helpful, they came with a wheel chair and took my son (who's also autistic and i did mention that to the first unhelpful staff) she also asked me "why did you come running into the first aid room normally a staff member tells us and we come to you but you have come to us instead" so i told her what happened and she got angry hearing that and told me i need to report that staff member ASAP. i am not a petty guy but you need to have HELPFUL STAFF especially on a heatwave of a day! Another thing which really annoyed me (and everyone else in the Queue) was the Monster House which we all queued up for made us all go inside and then the silly staff member (another female) giggles and says "the rides not working we will let you out" but her approach was as if she is in a nursery. What was so funny i still don't get! Due to your rubbish staff i doubt i will return to this place. I have been to so many other theme parks etc in the UK and honestly i have never come across childish staff like the ones in Lego land! If any thing had happened to my son that day believe me you would be in a legal battle with me about it!!!! Sack these idiots and also stop ripping people off with the food and beverages prices inside the resort. £5 for a bottle of water! Priority parking paid for but i still got stuck on the way out because it wouldn't recognise my ticket or my plate. an absolute joke of a place.

Not Worth the Money – Disappointing Experience at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

We recently stayed at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort from Friday to Sunday. While there were some enjoyable parts, several aspects fell short of what we expected from a premium family resort.

One of the biggest disappointments was the in-room treasure hunt gift. Our children are 5 and 3, and their ages were provided when booking, yet both received the same LEGO set marked as suitable for ages 6+. My 3-year-old was extremely excited to complete the treasure hunt but became very upset when she realised she couldn’t build the set herself. An age-appropriate LEGO or DUPLO set would have made the experience much more enjoyable and inclusive.

We were told we should have raised this with reception so an alternative gift could be provided. While that may have been an option, it doesn’t address the underlying issue. For the price of the stay, I would expect an age-appropriate gift to be provided in the first place, particularly when the children’s ages were already known. The set also felt like a fairly basic gift, so the issue was less about its value and more about the thought and suitability.

We were also disappointed that the splash pool was closed during our stay without this being communicated during booking. We were told guests with swimming reservations were notified around one week before arrival because there was no confirmed timeframe for the closure. However, when I tried to book the pool, it was unavailable. As working parents, we had planned to see what availability was like once we arrived, so it was reasonable to expect that an unavailable facility would be clearly communicated to hotel guests.

The LEGO playroom being available only after 3 PM was another issue. With young children, we naturally spent the daytime in the park, meaning that by 3 PM they were tired and less able to enjoy it. Making this facility available earlier would make much more sense for families with younger children.

For the price and standard of the accommodation, we were also surprised that there was no complimentary bottled water in the room. After long days in the park with young children, this would have been a small but appreciated touch.

Food labelling could also be much clearer. Some dishes, such as beef and vegetarian lasagne/bakes, were positioned together, but it wasn’t always obvious which was vegetarian. Clear labels directly next to each dish would make things much easier, particularly for families with dietary requirements. We were pleased this point was acknowledged and passed to restaurant management, and hopefully it will result in an improvement.

In the park, we experienced long queues with limited shade while waiting, which was particularly difficult with young children in direct sunlight. We were told there are indoor and outdoor attractions providing shaded areas where possible and that our feedback had been passed to management. While we appreciate the acknowledgement, this doesn’t really address the experience. On a hot day, having shade elsewhere isn’t particularly helpful when you are already committed to a long queue in direct sunlight. This could be considered more carefully for a resort aimed at families with young children.

We also purchased Fast Track for Saturday, expecting it to significantly improve our experience. Unfortunately, we still experienced considerable waiting times on some attractions, while some rides we wanted to use did not offer Fast Track at all. We understand Fast Track does not mean immediate access and that its queue can become busy. However, when guests are still waiting a considerable amount of time and some attractions aren’t included, it is reasonable to question whether the additional cost represents good value.

None of these issues alone would necessarily have ruined our stay, but together they made a noticeable difference to our overall experience.

We chose LEGOLAND Windsor Resort because it is marketed as a high-quality, family-focused destination, and we expected greater attention to the needs of young children. What was particularly disappointing was that, when we raised these concerns afterwards, some responses focused on what we could have done differently rather than fully acknowledging the underlying service issues.

Our children did enjoy parts of the visit, and there are clearly some great experiences at LEGOLAND. However, for the price we paid, we expected a more thoughtful and seamless family experience.

I appreciate that the Resort has said our feedback has been passed to the relevant teams, and I hope it is genuinely used to improve the experience for future families. Based on our stay and the responses we received afterwards, however, I feel LEGOLAND Windsor has several areas where it could do considerably better.

This is an out and out rip off

This is an out and out rip off. Pay the entrance fee then find you have to Pay £13 to park. Queues massive for rides. Then find others can pay extra to jump the queue. Not acceptable in my view and leads to people getting annoyed at what is supposed to be a leisure activity. Food exorbitant.

Pure money orientated company. Avoid at all costs

⭐ Very disappointing and seriously overpriced

We were really disappointed with our visit. The queues were absolutely shocking — we spent almost an hour waiting for some rides, meaning we managed to get on four rides at most during our time there. For the amount we paid for entry, that is simply not good enough.

The park was far too overcrowded, which completely took away from the experience. Spending most of the day standing in queues rather than actually enjoying the rides is incredibly frustrating, especially when you have children with you.

The prices are also ridiculous. We spent over £80 on an evening meal for two adults and a child, and that included just one alcoholic drink — a beer. For that sort of money, you expect a much better experience overall.

We came expecting a fun family day out, but unfortunately the overcrowding, ridiculous queues and high prices left us feeling like we'd paid a lot of money to spend most of the day waiting around.

Four rides after paying the admission price is nowhere near good enough. We certainly won't be rushing back.
