We bought a ticket for our 8-year-old son who uses a wheelchair, and at no point before or during purchase were we told there would be major restrictions that would stop him from enjoying any rides at all. It was only once we arrived that we found out—just because he uses a wheelchair, he’s unable to go on anything.

We feel completely misled. If there were disability-related rules or accessibility limitations that meant he couldn’t actually use what we paid for, that should have been made crystal clear upfront—on your website, at point of sale, anywhere—instead of letting us travel there and pay only to find out it’s all off-limits. Our little one was heartbroken; he was so excited and ended up sitting watching everyone else.

It’s not right to sell tickets without honestly telling families what they can and can’t do. Blackpool Pleasure Beach needs to be far clearer about accessibility rules before people pay—so no other family has to go through the same letdown.

We got a decent deal two for 1 so £120 for the four of us, as others have said the food is poor quality and expensive, we were told we couldn't take food in but some people were managing to smuggle it in, not sure how. Some staff were ok others terrible. They are in a poor financial state, the park is in disrepair and ripping of customers looks to be the approach they are taking to resolve this.

The park used to be a family great day out now it’s just greed and money. Ques about 40-50mins is ridiculous for the admission fee. Yes there’s speed pass but again that’s not fair on people who can’t afford it and like I said pure greed and money now

A loud, rude obnoxious member of staff on the BBQ grill, who had watched plenty of people move chairs to cater for the size of their family's, suddenly screamed across to me not to move the chairs as I was getting am extra chair for my daughter who wasn't feeling well due to the intense heat. I was extremely embarrassed and humiliated. A member of the public had heard the man and bought over another chair for my daughter and said what a horrible man he was.
I spent alot of money bringing my family from Bristol to the pleasure beach for what should of been a really enjoyable day out only to be upset and humiliated by a member of staff.

I doubt I'd recommend BPPB to any friends or family any time soon.

Think it is disgusting when you are queuing for hours and wealthy people can go to the front, pleasure Beach greed. will not go again!!

It was a good day overall. We didn’t have to queue too long for the rides, and the staff seemed pleasant enough. The Big One was probably the best ride there.

The biggest disappointment was not being allowed to take a picnic in. Considering the admission price, I don’t think there was enough there to make it feel worthwhile.

Overall, I probably wouldn’t go again, as I don’t feel it was worth the admission price.

Absolutely shocking — save your money

£400 for two adults and two children, and we only managed to get on two rides. That is absolutely ridiculous value for money.

The place was completely overloaded with people, making it almost impossible to properly enjoy the day. To make matters worse, food and drinks are taken off you when you enter, leaving you with no choice but to buy the overpriced food and drinks inside.

And speaking of the food — it was awful. The quality was poor and the prices were absolutely shocking. You pay a fortune to get in, then get hit with ridiculous prices once you’re inside.

A number of the rides were also closed, including some of the ones we were actually looking forward to. There was no warning and no discount despite a significant part of the experience being unavailable. As a business owner myself, I can’t understand how you can charge people full price when you’re not providing the full experience they’ve paid for.

Some of the rides and facilities looked seriously tired and badly maintained. There are wooden structures that look rotten and generally give the impression that maintenance has been badly neglected. Health and safety seriously needs to take a proper look at this place. If some of the things I saw were on a typical British worksite, I can’t imagine they would be allowed to continue operating without questions being asked.

For the amount of money families are expected to spend, the whole experience was an absolute joke. It feels less like you’re paying for a good family day out and more like you’re being charged at every possible opportunity.

I genuinely regret spending the money here. Save your hard-earned cash and go somewhere else. £400 for a family day out and barely getting on two rides is completely unacceptable.

If you decide to go anyway, good luck — you’re going to need it.

Food and drink confiscated at the gate by rude staff, astronomical prices for severely sub standard food.
They want £20 to park for the day, it’s half that across the road.
The best part was trying to sell me free refill drinks for the day, it would have cost me £100. Absolute jokers!!!
Pleasure beach has never been anything great but it was a decently priced family day out and you enjoyed it.
Now it’s just a total rip off of for customers for a disappointing day out.

Very sad that’s it’s clear to see it’s just greed that fuels pricing and NOT reflective of the experience you’ll have.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has become a real disappointment. The park feels run down, neglected, and badly in need of refurbishment, with several rides closed and no proper explanation given. For the price you pay, it simply isn’t worth it.

The app is also completely unreliable. It shows wait times of 15 minutes, yet we were standing in queues for over 45 minutes. It’s not a true reflection of actual waiting times and makes planning your day impossible.

The food situation is even worse. You’re not allowed to bring your own, yet they charge £6.99 for chips and £2.49 for water. It feels like blatant profiteering and leaves a sour taste on the whole day.

Most staff also seemed miserable and disengaged. Basic customer service was lacking, and simple questions were met with abrupt responses. It really drags down the atmosphere.

Sadly, this reflects the wider Blackpool area too. Many buildings look neglected, half empty, and like they haven’t had a lick of paint in years. It’s genuinely sad to see how run down everything has become.

We won’t be returning

£40 for 1 single ride all day. Massive, massive queues. Ride broke after a 3 hour queue and simply closed. Never again. I'd go anywhere, literally anywhere else before I return to this dump

Food confiscated at entrance. I know they want you to buy food inside but there really are no gluten free/healthy options.Forced to take bags on water ride so got completely wet-I have no idea why as all other rides allowed you to leave bags at side. made no sense!

On entry , we where searched , had all our sandwiches crisps etc confiscated and where told either pay for a locker which was none returnable or throw them away. We struggled to pay for the tickets so figured sandwiches would help us feed the kids for the day. Because we didn't have money for a locker on us they threw EVERYTHING in the bin. We also had to get a train there so couldn't leave them in a car as suggested.
It's disgusting that Blackpool pleasure beach are forcing families on low income , who have tried the best to treat the kids like this. HOW DARE THEY. forcing you to spend a fortune on their own low quality fast food and not allowing the option of taking in a picnic. This is so anti British it's disturbing. I felt so embarrassed, as did the security guard , he constantly apologised and repeated "it's not us it's the management ". He even took my 9 year olds Jaffa cakes out of my son's hands and told him he couldn't have them.. DO NOT GO IF YOUR HOPING TO BRING YOUR OWN FOOD. The rides them selves where ok ,lots of ques but to be fair the park is falling apart.
The massive amounts of money made every day is obviously going to the share holders and not back into the park. the arcades are 100 percent rigged , we even saw a family who had won a huge bear in a teddy bear machine , only for it to get stuck in the other sized claw , that because the bear hadn't dropped it didn't count. My childs drink cap snapped off his refillable drink bottle we had to pay 15 pound for. When I took it back the lady said " I'm sorry , we have been told we can't replace drink bottles or caps and this counts as wear and tear " how's this fair? We had used it twice.
And even the young lad selling bubbles winced when I asked how much where they . He replied "15 pound.....I'm sorry .... I know that's ridiculous"

The staff and the customers all know that this park has gone stupid with anti consumer practices, but no one cares as long as they fat cats get fatter.

We won't be returning next year .

Absolutely terrible experience, in short:

2-4 hours wait across all rides, BPB emailed beforehand to suggest high number of school parties but 4 hours wait time suggests simply too many people in the park.

Queued 2 hours for 2off rides for them to breakdown (4 hours wasted) with no explanation, no apology, just displayed in the app as not running. Other UK theme parks offer fast pass for return.

From 10am to 4pm we went on 2 rides.

Queue jumping was terrible, constant on every ride. Very poor queue set up allowing this and it wasn’t just young people.

Koi fish in the fish pond under Infusion ride & queue, people spitting in the pond, large amount of rubbish in pond and oil film on the surface. Will report to RSPCA, have photos.

Poor ride maintenance hence issues above. Oil leaking from motor gearboxes (dripping), drive chains rubbing and worn. Pneumatic hoses/Hydraulic hoses worn/damaged and incorrectly routed (across several rides).

Poor efficiency for getting customers on and off rides (not ride attendant fault), half the time could be saved on a number of rides still achieving safety and doubling ride output

Overcrowding lazy/slow staff and worst of all false advertising opened to 8pm when 90% rides closed for 7pm
Best to avoid and go to alton towers or somewhere else.

Paid £200+ to access the park for a child and adult 1 day, then 1 child, 2 adults a couple of days later. (Not including the £20 per day parking charge).

On the first day, a member of staff made comments about my 3 year old daughter's port wine stain birth mark on her face, causing upset.

On our 2nd visit, the park was swamped with school trips which they failed to disclose. We were subject to verbal abuse throughout, constant queue jumping and at one point, kids running onto the tracks of the train ride without staff doing a thing.

Due to the nature of the day, with line skipping kids and staff not bothering to intervene, we bought 2x fast pass at a cost of £100+. What a mistake, they mis-advertise ride availability.

To summaries availability:

Big One closed all day.
Infusion closed all day, checked the app and saw it opened after 4pm when we had left.
Icon speedy pass showing at capacity throughout (managed 2 rides - 1 with Enso upcharge)
Dora Closed
Valhalla Closed despite them saying it'll open at 1, then 2, then not opening.
Aviktas....CLOSED.
Grand National - closed.

Despite this, the website only lists Dora, Grand National, and River Caves not being in operation.

Valhalla had people queueing from 1pm with staff present. We went to the Loki bar for lunch and waited for 2pm to book a pass, app crashed and didn't work again until 2.10. when we went out and seen that the queue had disbanded and asked the staff member who said they didn't know when it'll open, yep, another Valhalla disappointment.

Avalanche speedy pass queue (yeah, we did get on it when it was fixed)was a health and safety nightmare. People pushing past down a narrow staircase whilst guests are pushed to the railings and told by staff to move over. Only a matter of time before someone really hurts themselves and this needs work.

I highlighted the overall experience on 23 June, same day as our visit and received a response on 27 June saying someone will be in touch.

As you can tell by me writing this review, they haven't bothered. Several weeks gone by and not a peep.

Am pursuing chargeback via my bank now for the mis-advertising and awful experience since they cannot give the courtesy of a response.

We holidayed in Blackpool and this was my first time going to Pleasure Beach, managed to go on all the main rides bar big dipper as that was closed.
I liked Icon the best. I was pleasantly surprised by revolution, i was expecting that to be a headbanger but no. Same can't be said about infusion. The grand national, that is pretty much unrideable. Valhalla was fun, but, you get soaked. We did go twice to pleasure beach and the first time some effects were not working but second time it was. Cant say about food and drink as did not buy any. A little search before going in from security but its empty pocket through screens, no big deal

im a disabled lady with 2 carers and someone who cannot manage the ques carers used to go in for free now they are charging £25 per carer that an absolute discrase and rip off. they need to put it down to just paying for 1 person and let carers go in for free rip of price so access card puts gives the card people and then blackpool tells u you have pay for carers rip off. so i recomend to protest and not go until they put prices down. should be ashamed of themselfs. we are not returning to blackpool unless they lower prices and get carers in free again. just got nimbus card to say cant wait in que i have 2 carers and they are charging me £25 for both cares and £35 for me. im someone with epilepsy and learning needs and have axsity and cant cope waiting in que.

Not only do they charge £25 for a carer ticket but they also charge £18 for non riders. Refused to allow food to be taken in for my son who has arfid, made us pay £6 for a locker to store it in. Rides were constantly breaking down, absolute rip off.

Came here with my family from Scotland baby included. Once we got to the doors to come in the guy told us no snacks allowed which we totally understand but the snacks were for the baby whom is 8 months old. The guy told us he was not allowed to take them in like are you kidding he’s a baby, we were told we would get the at the end. When we were leaving we asked the same guy for the snacks back as he said we could have them at the end and he refused to give the back and said he didn’t say that. To which I said you did say, when another member of staff stepped in and said your not allowed outside snacks I said I know that but this was for the baby and he said there’s lockers for that. To which the guy before hadn’t told us there were lockers and they could be put in there and we would have the back. The other guy that spoke to me mentioned your only allowed baby formula. SORRY my child is not formula fed and what about all other babies that are on solids, we bought a baby ticket of under 2 so you should know parents would bring snacks and food for their babies etc. why would I feed my baby crap from the fast food restaurants he’s a baby, absolutely shocking we travelled all that way we will not be back Absolutely disgusting taking snacks from a baby. Your new rule should be any under 2 tickets are allowed their own snacks and food….

The rides and really good and the day we went the ques weren't bad. Valhalla and the Grand national wasn't running which was disappointing. It seems Valhalla is never on after it's renovation.
There is places to eat but you definitely need to have money. The buffet is reasonably priced but the other places are terrible. £25 for 3 portions of chips and cheese and £4 for a small cola. Shocking prices. No need to charge that amount, they would get the custom as you aren't allowed to take your own food and drink in. Maybe something for them to look into. I mean you pay £3 for a bottle of water.
