Absolutely horrendous experience. I would strongly advise avoiding this firm.

Poor communication throughout the process.
Incorrect advice regarding building warranties for a new-build property, which required intervention from a lead underwriter to correct.
Poor completion management: My assigned conveyancer was ill on completion day, and nobody took ownership of the case until 2pm. With completion required by 4:30pm, I risked losing my deposit and had to chase repeatedly to ensure completion went ahead.
Ignored complaints: I raised concerns early and repeatedly, but the escalation contact failed to address them.
Thankfully, the seller did not pull out despite the delays and poor service.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm at all.

My previous experience with solicitors has never been favourable to me, my experience with LPL however has, if I’m honest been a pleasure.
Every time I called someone answered straight away, I gave the post code and house address, the call handler would look and give you an update, if there were any unusual or detailed questions that I needed answered, they would put me on hold a try to reach my case handler, who mostly answered other than when she was on her lunch break, she always called back on her return, Kadie Pickering I found to be fantastic, so helpful and willing to explain things I didn’t really understand.
Thank you all, but in particular Kadie, I hope your company appreciates what you do because, you talked me through a difficult process for me and made it so much easier for me, thank you.

Easy communication via both email and the app; if you miss a notification in the app, you will definitely see it in your email.

I’d like to start by thanking the solicitor who sorted my case as it still got done HOWEVER the contact with the solicitor on my case (CH) has been low. He is super quick with replying via email but no phonecalls lol. I rang reception TWICE on two separate occasions for a phonecall back and got nothing. The way he sees it is if he has no updates he feels he doesnt need to take the phonecall which is rude tbh as ive taken time out to ring you for something and you’ve rudely not rang back. Not even willing to ring us to get authority, he wants everything via email! Not very professional. And as for updates, i have to ask him if there is any, not the other way around. He should tell me when he gets an update to keep me in the loop, not me trying to get myself in the loop. Communication needs to be better.

We have sold and purchased the new property with LPL. Good service provided and relatively quick to get to you questions. I like that they have a portal where you can track the progress and have weekly notes from your solicitor. Mine was Danielle Baxter, she did a great job. Sorted out even a refund from the property agents where I was charged more than was agreed. Would definitely recommend!

It's a great experience

Bought our flat at the end of last year, the whole process was dragged out with multiple bits of information missed, including sharing of confidential information with incorrect parties, giving misleading or apathetic advice (which would have required a very expensive change to our lease which it turns out was never required) and having to be informed of basic information found from Google searches by us (after chasing for weeks with minimal responding). My partner spent dozens of hours essentially doing their job for them. The whole experience left us with a bad taste, and a settlement was reached through the ombudsman for these issues. Just found out they had held another deposit for the past 9 months with no explanation even when directly asked, and had only returned it when our file was closed.

Avoid.

I came to LPL needing a transfer of equity and remortgage after separating from my partner, which is not the sort of thing anyone looks forward to sorting out. I'd been quoted by a handful of firms and honestly expected months of chasing people for answers.

It couldn't have been further from that. Daniel Gardner handled my file from start to finish and I don't think I ever waited more than a few hours for a reply. I spotted a misspelling, the corrected version came back within seven minutes. When I got stuck on a question on the stamp duty declaration, he just answered it plainly and told me he'd already accounted for it.

The part that impressed me most was when my ex's solicitors couldn't complete on the agreed date because they were switching banks. Daniel had a revised completion statement and a new date sorted the same morning, with no drama and no extra cost to me. We completed on 28th September exactly as planned.

Every figure matched what I'd been quoted, every document was explained before I signed it, and I always knew what was happening. I've never had a legal transaction run this smoothly. Thank you Daniel.
