Our sofa/arm chairs have been delivered today
We ordered a sofa and two armchairs (£2,079) on 16 January and delivery date should have been 18 March 2020. This date was subsequently cancelled and a new date of 24 March was arranged. Nothing was delivered and no explanation provided. I read a review about 'Resolver', a free online tool for complaints and claims, and contacted Laura Ashley via their website, as communications with Laura Ashley directly seemed impossible. This did result in responses and on 28 May we received a message that Laura Ashley wanted to deliver. Delivery was subsequently made today, 12 June - almost 3 months late. The delivery drivers were absolute gentlemen and were very careful. I suspect using Resolver helped. I hope everyone does eventually receive their outstanding goods.
Appalling customer service!
Appalling customer service for once loyal and regular customers.
Having been teased with the suggestion that they were ready to offer a refund for the item that they can no longer supply, they now fail to contact me as they advised, or reply to any of the numerous emails that I have sent regarding this matter. Customer service number now appears permanently unavailable.
They have conveniently lost my original card details to facilitate a refund.

Unfortunate times
I previously left a 1 star review due to their service because of their administration and missing items amounting to a lot of money. I did receive part of my order eventually and still have 1 item outstanding (3 months later) however they have been good with responding and given a valid reason for the delay. The delivery of some of my items was smooth and communicated well. Their items are beautiful it’s just a shame administration and Covid 19 caused them a lot of issues.
Absolutely disgusted with glass cabinet
Absolutely disgusted! Can’t get hold of laura Ashley for a smashed display cabinet that has just popped. I really need to get hold of them as the glass is now falling out! Trying to get hold of them is impossible!

I ordered a sofa and footstool from Laura Ashley at the beginning of January 2020, expected delivery 15th April 2020. We are still waiting. Having seen that the Long Eaton furniture plant has gone into administration I daresay we won't ever see our order. Covid 19 is NOT an excuse anymore and it is disgusting that you as a company have hidden behind this excuse. We are currently without a sofa as ours was sold just before the expected delivery date.

Some goods are being delivered.
This is just a short note to let you all know that it is not all doom and gloom. This morning we had a delivery of two small Garrat pieces of furniture. We had ordered on 20th Feb and only last week we were told to make a section 75 claim with our credit card company. This we did.
Today the Laura Ashley drivers told us that they had only just returned to work last week. They were in a 13 ton Laura Ashley lorry with other goods which will be delivered to other LA customers today.
I hope this gives some encouragement to some of you.
Warning Do not Order from Laura Ashley
Can't believe they are still allowed to trade, we ordered 2x sofa's due for delivery on 1st May no response from customer services, but now found out I won't be getting them, deposit paid on debit card so will have a battle trying to get that back. Also ordered lamps on line with arrived damaged and got told no refunds or replacement will be sent, yet they still advertise. Do Not order from these crooks

Following my review 1st June, Laura Ashley have finally confirmed that my order for two sofas has been cancelled. It has taken many hours of my time to reach this stage - having paid on credit card, now more time will be spent trying to get my money back!!!!
Outrageous
I ordered furniture from Laura Ashley Milton Keynes on 22 February. A super king size bed, 2 x sofas, lamp table, sideboard, coffee table, glass cabinet, coffee table and a nest of tables.
I called them the day after they went into administration in March, which also coincided with the Covid lock-down and was assured my order would still be delivered as they were honouring existing orders.
I rushed to get the room decorated, despite the difficulties during lock-down as I worried I wouldn't have many options on delivery once the furniture was ready. It was due 1st week May. I called them only a couple of weeks ago to check they could still deliver and was told yes. I specifically asked that there was definitely no doubt my furniture would be delivered, it was just a question of when (mainly due to Covid).They advised there was no specific date on their system but they'd be in touch very shortly. I expected it would be in a couple of weeks when they'd be able to deliver inside the house.
Today I received an e-mail saying they can't fulfil any of the order.
What makes me really angry is that I found out today that their sofa supplier went into administration before they did. In effect they took the order knowing full well they could never deliver it and they have been giving me false updates ever since.
I'm lucky, I took advantage of the 0% finance and put the deposit on their store card as I got additional discount on the day if I opened an account. I believe I can get the deposit back on the card and the finance will just never kick in.
I'm sure there are many other people who will not be so fortunate if they paid direct from their bank / cash.
Companies do not go out of business overnight, they knew well before they announced they were going into administration that they could no longer trade and certainly not manufacture goods that weren't already in their warehouse.
It's nothing less than fraud to carry on taking customers' money, knowing they couldn't deliver and stringing people along to a point they'll now be unlikely to get their money back via the receivers. Outrageous!
In the end I feel genuinely sorry for the staff losing their jobs and I'm in no doubt the lovely ladies in the shop who sold me the furniture were completely unaware of the problems, or that this would happen.
This is unscrupulous management....so often the case.

I wouldn’t give LA one star but I can’t give a review otherwise. We ordered and paid for a sofa in January 2020 , we were told delivery in March. As other reviews we have not received it even after many false delivery dates.
Luckily we paid by credit card, we made a claim and am happy to report we have had our money back. It is so wrong that they are still trading, they won’t ever have another penny from me.

Good luck if you ordered any sofas or armchairs/upholstery from this company. Their main supplier went bust months ago. Largely because Laura Ashley didn’t pay them. If you ordered from January onwards you probably won’t be getting anything. Good luck getting your refunds..! Hopefully you paid on credit.

The company which totally ignores you. Fails to keep their promises. Delivers damaged goods and even though they agree in writing to replace said damaged goods, they don’t. It’s absolutely disgraceful that they take hundreds of pounds from you, ignore you for months and months even long before they got into financial difficulty. 8 months and STILL waiting!!
Ripped off by Laura Ashley
Like many others we have just recieved an email informing us our order placed and paid for in March has been cancelled and we will not be receiving a refund. For the last month they have strung us along using covid 19 as the excuse for non-delivery of our furniture. Our best hope is for a section 75 claim from the LA credit card who have already paid out for our lost stain guard insurance.
We won't be buying from Laura Ashley again and would advise anyone else to avoid them at all costs.

Hi just to let u know do not buy anything from Laura Ashley I brought a sofa from them in January paid for it with there credit card paid 1149.60 then paid in full 3weeks later then heard they went into administration rang them they told me not to worry they still traiding then went into lockdown didn’t hear from them till today Friday 5 June,they now tell me that they are unable to fulfill my order as they gone into Administration and because of unsecured creditors they cannot Estimate what the value or timing of such a payment will be. Hard to believe that when spoke to call Center and she told me not to worry sofa was nearly ready so why can’t I have what I paid for so don’t buy anything from Laura Ashley as they don’t tell truth don’t keep you informed ,DickTurpin used to were mask when he robbed people!!!!!!
Order paid for in February not delivered
I ordered a chair in February and paid for it in full. It has not been delivered and I have had no communication from the company at all, except for the initial order confirmation. The Customer Service telephone lines are now closed and emails are not responded to. My one question is, how is Laura Ashley allowed to still be trading, including taking orders for furniture, when they are no longer honoring orders placed and paid for several months ago. Avoid at all costs!
THE MOST DISGRACEFUL OF COMPANIES
Like many others I am disgusted with the service of Laura Ashley and I would add that Price Waterhouse Coopers could have informed customers much better. For an international company their service has been atrocious. Any person with little commercial experience must be wondering what is going on.
My order was placed on 23rd January and delivery was 25th March. Part of the order was delivered before this date. I was 2 days from receiving a 48 hour delivery slot.Laura Ashley are downright liars. Firstly I don't think they should even have been trading when I placed my order as did many others. They were taking our cash in the hope of keeping the company afloat.The directors should be investigated and possibly given prison sentences. They refute that administration caused the delay in delivery preferring to say it was due to Covid 19. Equally they used this to say it put the company in Administration. Rubbish they were insolvent before Covid19. They have the audacity to sign off a letter saying your order will not be fulfilled by thanking you for your custom when you have probably lost thousands. Absolutely disgusting. The only solution appears to be to seek recovery of your cash through Section 75. My advice to anyone buying goods is always use a credit card as there could be many other retailers out there in dire circumstances

Awful company!
Ordered 4 items for nearly £4,000 in February and because I was nervous about LA cancelled it from my Amex as that doesn’t offer s75 protection and re-ordered on my LA NewDay card. Even after they went into administration they assured me my goods would be delivered on the due day of 24th April. Approaching that day they became impossible to contact and all my emails bounced back. All I had was a recorded message saying they couldn’t do 2 man deliveries due to Covid. Liars and an excuse.
Finally on 4th June I get a bland impersonal email saying I won’t be getting my goods and I’ve lost my £4K!
Whilst I accept some companies fail, the way this has been handled is disgusting. I’ve spent tens and tens of thousands with this miserable outfit.
Never again. They will never see another penny of my money again whoever ends up owning the brand and even if NewDay give me my money back.
Order Delivered
I ordered one can of paint, 5 rolls of wallpaper and a sachet of paste on 5th May. I'm sure at the time the website said 10 days for delivery, but expect some delay. On 19th May, I contacted them via a private message on Facebook, as I had not been notified anything had been dispatched, or had any other communication from Laura Ashley since the order confirmation. I received a very polite and helpful message the same day, saying to expect to wait 14 working days (excluding weekends and the May bank holidays). The following day (20th May) I had an e-mail from the couriers telling me the parcel would arrive the next day (21st). The parcel duly arrived, but only included the paste and wallpaper. I messaged again through Facebook, and had a message within 15 minutes from the same operator as before, saying that paint is sent separately packaged (makes sense), and was being sent that day, she included the tracking number also. The paint arrived the next day. We used the products almost immediately, and they were excellent quality, and good value at the price we paid. I was impressed by the speed I was replied to through Facebook, and that it was the same person who answered my query each time, and with the tone and helpfulness of the replies. I was less impressed at the lack of communication prior to that, that the phone lines had been disabled, and the e-mail I sent prior to my Facebook contact going unanswered. I had been very concerned, having read the reviews on here, that I had wasted £160 on products that wouldn't be delivered. However, I would now consider ordering small, unbreakable, non-urgent items like this from them again. The operator who messaged me did say there had been a huge backlog of orders that they were working very hard to process. Whether my order got pushed along because I had contacted them, I don't know. If you need to contact them, definitely send a message through Facebook messenger. Obviously, my order was for small items that were held in stock and ready to ship, which may explain why I had a better experience than some of the other reviewers.
