We stayed at Greenpark centre,it was fantastic from start to finish. The team were so kind and considerate and helped my Daughter overcome her fear of heights so she thoroughly enjoyed the zip lining and abseiling...can't fault the accommodation it was basis and clean and done the job and the food was fab. Thanks Greenpark for a great experience..5*****

The worst experience of my life. Upon arrival the staff were unenthusiastic and exhausted and didn't intend to make any effort at all. The center itself was dirty and is in dire need of restoration, many empty unexplained rooms and corridors. The classrooms were falling apart and were accessed through the girl's toilets. The activities were laughable, the centre lacks facilities and obviously hasn't been changed since it was a special school. The bedrooms were dirty, infested with bedbugs and covered in a multitude of colours of stains. There was faeces in the shower. The food was inedible to say the least. Many became sick after eating the suspiciously solid mash..I felt punished to be offered it as it didn't look like food at all, so I didn't eat for the entirety of the trip. The only good thing about this trip was leaving it, I would not wish this Hell on my worst enemy. Shut this place down.

If I could give it no stars, I would. The hygiene was terrible, the whole place was dingy and smelled. Facilities are falling apart, there's stains on the mattresses and insects inside of the buildings. It seems as if no effort is being put into the whole situation, and the food isn't pleasant. We avoided eating it, scared we'd get food poisoning.
If anyone is planning on coming here, I'd strongly recommend you to reconsider.
We felt concerned for our safety here. Staff members are all extremely young and most are useless, akin to hiring toddlers. There is little to no assistance and there is certainly undertones of something dodgy going on. It's understandable that it used to be Kingswood special school, but half of it isn't converted and buildings still contain old signs, empty rooms and contain the bare minimum. It's a scam. Do not go here.

If I could rate a place 0 out of stars it would be this place.
The food was inedible, the inside of the sausages were yellow and the mash was the consistency of vanilla ice cream, while I wasn’t expecting 5 star hotel quality I was hoping the hygiene standards would be better than they were, there was mouldy food under the bed and scabs and period blood stains on the sheets, instructors told us “don’t get hurt it looks bad on us.” no one in my group dared to take a shower bc for one there was ‘mud’ (looked more like faeces) on the shower floor. In the girls dorms there were no locks so I was scared to get changed and sleep because anyone could walk in at any time, which resulted in me not sleeping the whole night. Upon arrival we were taken on a tour of the site where a staff member who didn’t look older than me (16) told us where the smoke shed was (to the horror of our teachers), later on in the tour they told us there was a scheduled fire alarm that would take place, they also said that it could go off at any time even 3AM, and didn’t tell us where any of the fire escapes were or the routes out of the buildings, although I was only there for a night the place was hell, one of the activities was a quiz and the kids instructor who was in charge of the quiz kept looking up and down at my friend which made her very uncomfortable, and resulted in her being very afraid to sleep or get changed anywhere on site. What was quite comical, they had told us where we could smoke but snatched the tea pot out of someone’s hand bc “we could hurt ourselves pouring hot water.” More on the food, the server who was giving out the food in the morning was sweating, all over the food, and they served us with utensils wrapped in clingfilm I can only hope they washed the utensils better than the knife’s and forks which were dumped into a bowl of lukewarm bubble water taken out and used again, it was unsettling that even our teachers wouldn’t eat the food, our teachers had to sit by the door to the building bc although it had a code lock the door didn’t shut all the way, my bed rocked when I turned over and the bed tipped when I climbed to the top bunk and I also found out screws were missing from the ladder, all in all if you can avoid this place I advise it and please don’t send your child here, people from my group ended up going early bc they couldn’t last the night.

Surprised this pit of hell is still open to the general public. I came here for a revision residential, no revision was completed as we spent the whole 2 days worrying about how disease filled this place was. My mattress had a urine stain on so i had to share a bed with my friend. The dorms were all identical and reminded me of the backrooms, which gave me severe anxiety, as well as the main door being unable to lock, meaning anybody could enter our building?! The menu was changed so we had the loathsome options of undercooked chicken "stir fry", sloppy mash, or burnt sausages. None of these items catered for my dietary requirements or even looked edible, therefore i had to eat a singular WET bread roll to get me through the whole afternoon and night, until the next morning. Just as i thought this place couldn't get any worse, i woke up to a deceased creature (rabbit looking) cramming the area with a nauseating stench. My almost 17 year old friend had her cup of tea violently snatched from her hands as it was a "heath and safety risk". However as i recall the day before, us UNDERAGE children were shown where to smoke or vape. i came home sleep deprived with a CRIPPLING stomach ache, EXPLOSIVE vomiting, a BANGING head and an infestation of bed bug bites ALL over my body. If you come here bring a hazmat suit and protective equipment.

sort it out!! this was a horrendous experience for us students as we came here on a ‘revision residential’ which turned into a night from hell. sandwiches under beds, sweets under mattress, socks under duvets (as well as spiders) and period blood stained on a mattress which a girl had to sleep on and was devastated. phones calls were made home and parents and staff of the school were NOT satisfied. the workers seemed to not have any type of care towards students, as we all got told ‘don’t hurt yourself because it will look bad on us’. there was also a DEAD rabbit underneath the canteens window which the staff were not bothered to remove. some sort of faeces inside of the shower and hair all inside of the sinks. we got told that tea time was 5:30 which then got pushed back 5 minutes just so the staff could be satisfied and eat before the visitors, and my friend got served the chef decided that he had an itch in his throat and coughed all over her food, the food on the menu was NOT what we had to eat. as we got there, we were being told about the fire drills as the other workers decided to go and play football infront of us which we all thought was very unprofessional. when the fire alarm went off we gathered outside and no registers were taken to make sure we were all there. the morning after, we got kicked out of our dorms so the workers could ‘clean’, however i was unsure on what they were going to clean as it had not been done before we arrived. if i had to stay here for more than one night, i would have got my mother to come and collect me no matter how far away from home it was. i will NOT be returning and i would advise nobody else to stay as this was the worst experience of my life!!!!

Came here for a night away with school as a revision residential. Started off with the staff playing football when we were being told where to go in case of a fire, which i thought was a bit unprofessional. We got told tea time was at 5.30 which then got delayed for 5 minutes as staff were eating theirs. Dead rabbit underneath window of canteen which again, staff were not willing to remove. Dorms were atrocious, sandwiches under beds, left over dirty socks under mattresses, chewed sweets in wooden planks on beds, duvets covered in hair, yet we got kicked out at 8.30 the next morning for someone to come and ‘clean’!!!! Blood was found on a mattress on dorm opposite us, which then had scabs and peeled skin bits in the bed sheets, which ended up in girls devastated and calls home were made. Staff clearly do not care about wellbeing of visitors, they only care about how they look as i quote ‘do not get hurt as it will look bad on us’. Staff look like they can’t be bothered with the children on site. Sinks were covered in hair which we found as soon as we got there, and there was faeces in our showers. When receiving my food, staff coughed, then found flies on fruit and flapjack. We then found a dead wasp outside our dorm door, and a massive spider was living in our duvets. This visit was NOT pleasant and do not recommend unless you want to experience a visit from hell. Was NOT happy, and best believe i would have been going home if i had to stay more than 1 night, even if i was over an hour and a half away from home or not. Will NOT be returning.

Came here for one night worst experience ever. Beds have period blood stains and all kinds of stains on , things such as scabs were found in the beds probably from athletes foot. It’s clear the staff do not care as I quote we were told ‘don’t get hurt it will look bad on us’ food is awful people have had food poisoning, everywhere smells I am shocked this place is even open it is not at all at a healthy hygiene rating should be closed. Dorms have no locks anyone can get into our dorms.no staff to separate boys and girls. Also there was some sort of left over Faeces, inside of the shower.DO NOT COME HERE WORST PLACE EVER

NCS Youth Adventure Weekend
We recently took a youth group to the Isle Of Wight Kingswood for a long weekend, the young people felt that it was a really positive experience and a great opportunity to have time out from exam stress. They enjoyed all their activities and as a result of being able to create their own program they had ownership of the sessions and therefore had a bigger buy in to achieving their personal goals. The instructors worked well with the group ensuring they gave them choices and going over and above to make their experience positive and memorable. The food was ok, with lots to eat at every meal and the accommodation was clean and well maintained with access to shared space in the evenings. The outdoor space was vast and the sports hall was an added bonus for activities in the evening and running off some energy. The variety of activities that are on sight are really varied and this supported all young people to thrive and many young people enjoyed the STEM activities as well as the team building over the more regular climbing and abseiling. The young people told us it was the instructors that made it so good as they treated them like adults, enabled them to chose and take the lead and were always positive and supportive . They liked the chance to meet new people and make new friends and although many are part of the youth group we have now seen others join as a result of their experience on this trip with us. Highly recommend and will definitely be exploring options to return.

Overall our stay at Runcorn activities wise was brilliant. The adventure team kept our rugby team busy and we all thoroughly enjoyed the activities.

I would say food wise, that perhaps the catering staff need to be a bit more knowledgeable regarding gluten free options. I'm coeliac and dairy free, and they did know on advance. I'm used to not having choice and that's fine when there is something available, and on the main I had something to eat. However, the alternative milk was oat, which while dairy free is not ok for coeliac/gluten free. Also, the last morning there were croissants for breakfast. When I asked at the counter I was told that's all there is. So I didn't have anything. All the cereals were gluten based and bread, which while I understand you're catering for the majority, some options of a bread roll or something that I could've eaten that last morning should have been available. The gluten free Bolognese on the Saturday night however was a hit with me.

Pupils were offered a wide range of activities to do which meant all pupils enjoyed at least something. The centre was clean and tidy throughout the whole site. At times, the staff were late to collect the pupils which meant they became restless whilst waiting (sometimes in the rain). There were a few issues with the accommodation, predominately the showers not having any warm water which took too long to fix although it was reported numerous times. However, in the end the issue did get resolved.

Ian has always been flexible and very helpful with our enquiries. We haven't used the Isle of Wight site yet, but when we visited they were very, very helpful and came across as nice to work with!!

Can’t recommend this enough for school groups in Staffordshire. Such great activities with organised enthusiastic and experienced staff and nothing was too much to ask!

Wow brilliant event!
I took my daughter to the open day and we loved it! I’ve never been so adventurous. All the activities were really engaging and enjoyable.
The crew are super supportive and encouraging. Will be keeping a look out for the next event.
