Had our Vancouver Compact installed in a day. The fitters, Graeme and Joe, were very efficient and very pleasant and did an amazing job. Couldn't be more pleased with the final result. Just got to paint it now !!

We have been trying to order our summer house since March for our new home, unfortunately our sale took ages, but Michelle at the Thurrock branch was so helpful and patient. Nothing was too much trouble. Finally we have ordered, chosen our paint and roof tiles I am so happy and looking forward to our new summer house arriving.

Fantastic service from start to finish, help was given on choosing the right cabin for us. Once chosen it was a quick turnaround, with emails/calls given to confirm delivery date and installation. The installation team were brilliant, could not fault their professionalism. Would highly recommend.

Great experience from start to finish. Saul in the Polhill office was very helpful, explaining everything clearly. The fitters Louie G and Elliott G were very professional, polite and respectful. They arrived on time and worked hard,doing a great job. They explained how to use the door and windows, making sure we were happy before they left. Would highly recommend Johnson’s to anyone wanting a summer house.

Delivery and installation/build all went smoothly.
The three guys Joe, Ryan F and Ruben were amazing. All so polite and friendly. They took great care whilst they worked in my new garden. They are a credit to your company.,

Extremely happy with my garden room/home office. I purchased from Saul and Cliff at the Polhill branch. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, explaining everything clearly, a great experience, thank you. Huge thanks also to Louie, Elliot and Albert who installed the room and decking. Very polite, friendly guys, and such hard workers! I couldn’t be happier. I would absolutely recommend. The whole team were fantastic from start to finish.

The sales team at Thurrock were extremely helpful and took the time to understand our needs.
On the day of installation, the materials arrived nice & early and then the team were started before 9am.
Louie and Adam worked extremely hard until after 5pm to get our garden room finished as heavy rain forecast for the evening.

Both Louie and Adam were professional, friendly, respectful of our property and clearly communicated the process/build throughout. We are extremely happy with our garden building, it looks great. Would recommend.

We paid a visit to Alver Valley garden centre Gosport. We saw the Johnson garden buildings and thought how well built they looked. After looking round Zak in the office gave us some brochures to help us decide. Once we decided on the design we returned few days later and chose the Garda . Dan took our order and said Zak would pay a home visit to check the site to make sure it would fit in the space and where the electrics would run down the garden. We went back to finalise our order. Delivery took place 1st of May two days later Micky and Louis arrived to start the build . Then a week later Andrew I hope I got his name correct came to install the electrics . We are so pleased we chose Johnsons Garden buildings. There was no pressure from Zak and Dan they are so friendly. Thank you to all the team we love our new house in the garden.

Tom and Dominic worked so incredibly hard during sweltering heat. They were really friendly, helpful, polite and kept us up to date with progress throughout. They worked very long hours to get the job finished. Great guys, would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Pros and cons

Pros : very friendly teams incl sales and installation, electrics and plastering. Trusted them to do a good job and leave the place tidy. Snagging resolved quickly and with a better outcome than we asked for.

Cons: this is still a DIY or ‘find tradesmen’ project even with the executive package. As we were told to get the base coat on asap I ended up doing it myself as no one local could. Never again. We bought a Clawson and because it was installed it was difficult to reach parts. The top ridge was meant to come apart to paint but I couldn’t find a tool for the weird plastic star shaped screws. You need to be around for installation then later plastering then later electrics - three separate days for us. Then you have to paint it (bottom and top coat) which we knew so this was outside, inside, caulk and paint skirtings, mist and paint plaster. Ended up using varnish on the window and door frames inside as they aren’t exposed to the elements. The skirtings are as on display - just long rectangles not mitred and I think we will change them. They don’t look nice. The paint supplied is rubbery and peels off easily from the frames, and the decking (if you get any on it) seems to dislike white spirit and react weirdly (like if you rinse the water doesn’t stay where the spirit was).

Once finished it’s fine. Seems solid. Looks nice. Edited to add: now it’s decorated and furnished it’s very quiet with windows and door shut, and fairly warm in the evening. Definitely a positive addition we are using as a spillover living space.

Quality product. Efficiently and swiftly erected by Aaron and Jack. Lovely extra garden room space.

Works were carried out by Joe with assistance from Elliot and Ryan F. The works were carried out to an extremely high standard, by extremely approachable and pleasant individuals that were attentive to our requirements.

We are extremely satisfied with the finished works and the time taken to carry out the works, the install exceeded our expectations.

Purchased a Vancouver summer house via Johnson’s based at Harlow Garden centre. Installation was quick and efficient over 2 consecutive days by two friendly hard working guys. Slight problem with incorrect glass panels but reassured it will corrected very soon.

The installers, Michael, Albert, and were very professional, kind, and committed to their jobs. They knew what they were doing. I am very pleased with the job. Thank you guys!

Excellent service from start to finish. Michelle and Henry at the Thurrock showroom were great when we initially ordered and the fitters Joe and Elliott B were exceptionally helpful and courteous, and kept us in touch the whole way through the build to make sure we were happy with progress.

The installation of our garden room went very smoothly. The installation team of Karl and Aaron were very polite, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. I would, without a doubt, recommend them.

Delighted with our new garden building. Dominic and Tom did an amazing job and were a pleasure to have building it. Would recommend them and johnsons without hesitation.

Was very pleased with the building itself but unfortunately my experience has been one of mixed level of support. I am a single mum with a seriously ill daughter so when the salesman came round I specifically stated I needed a building that did not need planning permission. The rep was very helpful and said any building in the greyed out listing does not need planning, I explained which one I wanted and he confirmed it would be fine. However once the outside was built I had planning at my door saying there had been a complaint and on measuring it did not conform. Johnsons kept saying they would support me however I had to constantly chase them and no evidence of real support. I am out of pocket having to pay these additional fees, then the plasterers came once planning approved at short notice but due to this they did not have the skirting, the team were really friendly though. A week later the electrician arrived, this was a much poorer experience, he forgot the heater, anything to clean up with and filler. He also left nearly all the cable for me to Bury rather than pinning as I was originally advised. He also only put a baton three quaters across the roof to hide the cables. I had to chase many times to get all of these items finished. Its a real shame that the company does not project manage efficiently or support customers when things go wrong because they do have a great product. I have been left dissatisfied, unsupported and jaded by this experience

Excellent building materials, solid and robust product. Very impressed with the skilled teams during the insulation. Site technicians as follows Day one = Terry and Reuben. Day two = Elliot and Louie.
