The John Fielding Cwmbran Manager extremely rude and argumentative, refused to give his name

After my wife asked him for help with a man in a wheelchair he waved a hand in her face and and said “yeh, when I got time, I’m busy!
When I confronted him about his manor and asked for his name he refused saying I asked him in a threatening nature?
All I wanted was an apology and for the disabled man to be given some help.
When another member of staff came he then chose to change his story and say he radioed through which we blatantly saw he didn’t.
He wouldn’t give me his name but you can’t miss him, very feminine skinny man with a beard and an eyebrow piercing.
I have been a regular with my family and friends to the John Fielding Wetherspoons for years. That was the last time. Customer service possibly the worst I’ve experienced.
Why don’t the staff have names on their badges?? (Very ominous)

It’s been an hour and still don’t have our panini’s. Have been told they got stuck in the lift! Seriously??

Had an amazing weekend at The Kings Head Salisbury.Checked in 13/08/2021until 16/08/2021.Our room was amazing, bathroom was huge,£214.00 reasonable for the location. Witnessed the staff in the bar assisting several older customers to a free table and looking after them despite being busy,so nice to see,a credit to Wetherspoons.We are planning to return in November,we had a lovely weekend partly down to our location. Thankyou .

Being a big Wspoons fan, tonight completely changed that after the rudest ever duty manager by the name of Ryan dealt with us after a shambolic mixup on 3 attemps to deliver food. Was rude, refused to apologise or refund. No customer service. Will never visit again.

food was absolutely disgusting! cold and burnt not edible, service was very poor waited half hour from ordering, staff walking round looking angry and miserable, disappointing as we normally love wetherspoons it's just this particular one that's always bad

I have never had a problem with any Wetherspoons I have visited previously but the Towan Blystra is awfu!
Dirty, rude, unhelpful staff, and such poor service.
The order took ages to arrive and on ordering we weren’t advised that our breakfast would half the large breakfast items missing as these were ‘sold out’ we weren’t offered any alternative.
We had come out for breakfast for a ‘treat’ for my Birthday and it was anything but!
We waited over an hour aswell which again we weren’t advised of the long wait time when we ordered. As I say we have been to any Wetherspoons and have never had such a bad experience!
I asked to speak to the manger and waited over 40 mins to which I was told that they cannot be found.
So I thought to send a complaint to their online link and was told to contact the site manager and that the compliant is closed.

Had a couple of drinks in the Moon under water Milton Keynes seemed a nice place. Until the wine came,.the glasses had lipstick around the top edge complained the wine was changed.
Next drink the same this is in a pademic
makes you wonder.

We sat down looking for a chilled lunch and we’re given attitude for ordering our food to the empty table next to us as our table didn’t have a number on it. Then I come to find that my glass of pepsi has lipstick stains all around the edge of the glass, it wasn’t mine as I was not wearing lipstick. Personally I feel ill, especially considering the circumstances with COVID-19, that I have been served my drink in a glass that appears to not have been washed. As well as this, my sister ordered a dessert which came with a side of mushy peas smeared across the side of the bowl. Evidently Chepstow Wetherspoons does not wash their crockery and glasses. Disgusting! If I could give 0 stars I would.

An apparent "manager" Lucy, at The Jubilee Oak Wetherspoons in Crawley, West Sussex, needs to have a serious word with herself about the way she speaks to customers! Incredibly rude, and incredibly unprofessional. Very nearly walked out, I would have had I not already paid. Worst I have ever encountered in the Wetherspoons chain, very poor. No one with this total lack of people skills and self awareness should ever be in a customer-facing role, let alone in any sort of supervisory capacity. I will definitely not be returning to this pub. You get what you pay for, and alleged value is just not worth this abysmal customer experience.

Upon arriving alone to the Bexhill picture playhouse last night, a male bouncer greeted me at the door and asked if I was here to eat or drink. I said my friends already had a table upstairs that I was meeting. He then became aggressive saying due to covid I shouldn't be meeting friends, blocking the door and walking at me. A elderly couple standing next to me Where shocked as they where also meeting someone and where frightened of this man's behaviour. He then preceeded to say he was going to call his manager to tell me the law. (I was meeting 2 girls I work with... the current law is meet up to six diffrent people or 2 different households can mix meaning more surely) His bouncer friend arrived and when he didn't get the back up he hoped from his colleague he proceeded to shout at me "I hope you get your head kicked in tonight you slut"
He immediately ripped off all of his badges and uniform put it down and left, the other bouncer was shocked.
Later on that evening the remaining bouncer apologised and said he had now been fired.

Not going to lie I was shocked, he was a built guy and tbh could do damage.
Weatherspoons has a crap reputation for there manager being unapproachable and rude also when made aware of this, this also allowing such behaviours to occur from staff.

Kicked two girls out for wearing short tops, manager comparing them to 'men shirtless' - awful sexist behaviour. Stop sexualising girls' breasts."

On the 15th June we went to the newly opened pub The Wetherspoons ,Golden Beam in Headingley ,Leeds.They had no draught beer ,our first choice of bottled beer was out of stock.We asked for steak and kidney pudding ,this was also unavailable.At this point we decided to leave and find a real pub ,where we could eat and drink.

Went to Wetherspoons in Westgate st called the gatehouse Cardiff ,me and my husband and family went to the gatehouse Wetherspoons Westgate street cardiff on the 18th May 2021 ,and my husband ordered our meal 2 steaks and our drinks which come to £25,which we paid on the app,we waited a considerable time but they were short staffed so we were told ,eventually they brought our drinks ,then 2 mins after our drinks were brought,we were told to evacuate the premises because the electrics had gone ,so we said we've only just had our drinks brought to us and we were told you'll have to leave now,we asked how we would get our money back ,and we were told by one staff I don't know I've clocked off now anyway,we asked 2 others one said it'll go straight back on your card if you done it on the app ,the other one said no it'll take 2to 3 days or maybe 3 to 5 days I don't really know,so we left with our drinks untouched and no meal and it cost us £25,I phoned the gatehouse the following day and spoke to the manager called dan,he said he would email e a form to fill in and they would send it to head office to the finance dept,he sent me the email with no form to fill in ,so I sent my complaint by email and said I was not happy with their service or their staff they were very unprofessional and very rude,I ve had no response back to acknowledge my email,so I rang Wetherspoons back and spoke to a manager called Stephen Reeves ,who said that it had been sent to headoffice and I would hear back within 2 to 3 days ,it is now 3weeks and I havn't had a reply back or an apology from headoffice,I am disgusted with the company and I would not recommend them to anyone,we have used Wetherspoons for many years but the gatehouse is absolutely appalling,we are pensioners 71years of age as we can't afford to pay £25 for a meal that we didn't recieve,please if anyone from this company reads this please get in contact with me as if they don't I will be taking this further as it's not acceptable,Mrs gill Charles

As a previous employee for Wetherspoons I am outraged of the treatment I received from the manager at the bottle of sack. I forgot my ID but shown photo ID on my phone, she said if I can prove that I worked there so provided her with an old payslip from JD Wetherspoons. She was talking very loud which brought attention to me which bought unnecessary embarrassment towards me.. even though I already agreed to leave. She was very rude and was shouting about me being a minor when I used to work for the company (which I already proved). She threatened to bar me and my friend for no reason as we were already on our way out and we caused no trouble at all. She also kicked out a group of people who were calmly defending us, I do understand the stress of a manager but the attitude and the way she treats the customers is disgusting!! Do not recommend and my family, friends and I will not return thanks to the manager who is supposed to be customer friendly

Bad service and the table numbers at not clearly 🙄😔😔!!

Kilmarnock Wheatsheaf. Ordered eggs benedict. Told there were no poached eggs I could have fried. 1. Eggs are obviously bought in pre poached otherwise any half decent chef could actually poach them there and then. 2. Why were they not taken off the menu if they weren't available. Staff attitude was not good when I expressed my displeasure politely. A small simple breakfast to start the day. Spoiled

Visited Ramsgate Weatherspoons with family and wanted to sit outside as it was a lovely day.We were told we could only order via the app unlike the week before when we could use waitress service. Being of the older generation we were unable to download this and made the decision to go elsewhere. I feel this is discrimination against anyone without the technical knowhow and would like the option of table service returned to outside areas

I was at the ernehale wetherspoons in arnold and had to wait 1 hour and a half for a table because they were understaffed and the assistant manager wasn't working. The only good part was that the door staff were really friendly and kept us entertained.

Visited Widow Frost in Mansfield. Quick visit as i was early to meet a friend nearby. Just wanted a pint so sat near the bar and asked first bar staff passing by if i could order at the table. 'Yes be with you in a minute'. Sat and sat and sat. 20 minutes went by so i went to the water container at the bar and had a free tap water! It wasn't even busy or that i wasnt sat prominently close to the bar without a drink on my table. Their loss. Not how i would run a business or try to get cash through the tills! Staff watching their shift drift by.

Ordered food,waited a long time for our food, politely enquiry with another waitress about our food, waited a long time for our food. As we hadn't ordered by app and paid, we left. DEFINITELY WILL NEVER RETURN!!
