Abi and Phoenix were both absolutely lovely to work with. They were incredibly approachable, easy to talk to and very good at getting to grips with a case involving a lot of complex detail.
We particularly appreciated how receptive they were to our feedback and our views on the tone and approach of communications with the Responsible Body. While they did not always proactively invite our views on this, whenever we raised them they listened carefully, took them seriously and adapted accordingly, which made the relationship feel genuinely collaborative.
They also made themselves available to us when we needed them and were excellent at explaining the legal position in clear, straightforward language. We had no previous experience of education law, and they made what could have felt quite overwhelming much easier to understand.

I first contacted Irwin Mitchell around November 2023 after becoming aware of an incidental finding on a CT scan had not been reported.
I immediately felt comfortable with the initial conversation and the process to establish I had a case.
Laura Ellacott was assigned to my case and I was impressed with her focused and detailed approach. All the facts were gathered and she explained the hurdles we would have to face. Also that the journey to a conclusion could be a long one.
