Outstanding Customer Service
Despite changing our delivery date for our Dulwich table several times, the team of Holloways of Ludlow Winchester were always kind and accommodating. When we finally confirmed a delivery date, their transportation broke down. Unfortunately we were on a tight schedule and couldn't wait for their next official delivery. The Winchester team were fantastic, went out of their way to find a solution and got us our table delivered on time for our removal company to take it to France with our other belongings. Outstanding Customer Service!

Ordered a lamp via the HOL website…
Ordered a lamp via the HOL website which was in stock to be delivered to their Wimbledon Village store within the week. I heard nothing so chased the website 2 weeks later to be told it was out of stock and they would let me know when it was available. Oddly it was showing as in stock on the website of the manufacturer that they actually source the lamp from. Heard nothing again so chased again to be told it was still on order and they would send me an email confirming this. Never got email, chased again and they said they forgot to send the email. Eventually got a phone call from the Wimbledon store nearly six weeks from first ordered to say it was in. Went to collect it and what a superior attitude they have in the Wimbledon Village shop. It was like they were doing me a favour even serving me. Won't be buying anything else from them ever again. Deserve to go out of business.

Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience. I placed an order for two wall lights in February and, by mid-July, I still had not received them. Several delivery dates were given and missed, with very little communication unless I chased for updates.
Customers should not be able to order items without clear stock availability or realistic lead times. After months of delays and uncertainty, I requested a refund.
A much better level of communication and transparency is needed.

Misleading description
I feel it should have said that the lights (Gadsby bathroom lights) were lacquered brass on the website. I had believed they were unlaquered not only because of the expensive price point but because they were described as solid brass with a polished brass finish. No mention of lacquer. It was only when asking about something else that I was told that they were laquered . I was mortified as everything else in the bathroom is beautiful unlaquered brass which behaves completely differently and will age and tarnishes gradually .
I’d already installed them ( a week or so previously). I asked if I could return them ( they are in prefect condition) but was told no . I will now have to sell them on as they cheapen the whole bathroom ( a very glitzy yellow brass) and buy new unlaquered ones. Please be specific in your description. Polished brass to me, and I think generally, implies unlaquered. You have mentioned with other products that they are laquered ..so why not this one?.. Diane Twin Wall Sconce and Limehouse Freighter Wall Light, to name just a couple.
Since writing this review I have had an email to say I should add more details or my review will be taken offline. How can you be allowed to do this!
What details would you like anyway? I have already had an email from Alicia Galer this week from your company and she can surely fill you in ! I have a right to write a review based on my experience. I bet you don’t similarly threaten those who write good reviews !
Please leave this review in place!
I actually think there should be some recourse with regards a refund as you admit in your response below that the description of the lights should have been clearer.. especially such a high priced item !
