Bonjour, je suis handicapé, après beaucoup de temps passé à avoir essayé des dizaines et des dizaines de sièges, ce qui est déjà une énorme effort, mon choix se porte sur un siège Embody de chez Herman Miller qui serait entre autre financé par l'Agefiph. J'ai donc besoin pour ceci d'un devis pour monter mon dossier. Je demande la chose sur le site français et je reçois dans un premier temps un devis en anglais avec l'adresse d'Herman Miller Angleterre. L'Agefiph ne prend pas en charge les devis localisés à l'étranger.
Je demande s'il est possible d'avoir un devis depuis le show-room français et on m'envoie un nouveau devis avec l'adresse anglaise mais le numéro de tva de la filiale française !!
J'explique à nouveau que ça ne va pas et qu'il me faut une devis avec l'adresse française ce qui ne me semble pas être compliqué. On me répond alors que le show-room français ne fait des devis que pour les sociétés et un minimum de 12 sièges !! Absurdité totale, d'une part car je suis auto-entrepreneur et encore plus si on considère le nombre de personnes handicapées en France qui sont intéressées par les sièges Heman Miller mais visiblement la société Herman Miller n'a que faire des besoins de personnes ayant un ou plusieurs handicaps.
Je trouve ça honteux, scandaleux, stupide et totalement condamnable.
Il faut alors passer par des revendeurs dont les prix sont bien plus chers et qui peuvent éventuellement faire que le dossier de co-financement soit refusé. Ils ont de plus des délais de livraison de plusieurs mois.
Le pire exemple est qu'il y a eu pendant plusieurs semaines une remise de 20% sur ce siège chez Herman Miller France avec livraison sous 12 jours mais impossible de pouvoir profiter non plus de cette promotion si vous êtes handicapé et que votre demande est co-financée.
Je doute fort que Madame Andi Owen, brillante Présidente-directeur général du groupe Herman Miller et qui a signé avec 1000 autres leaders dans le monde une charte pour la diversité et l'inclusion, soit en accord avec ces pratiques. Je vais la contacter pour mettre un certain nombre de choses sur la table.

When I first visited Herman Miller's website, I was impressed. The sleek designs, detailed product specifications, and promise of a 12-year warranty seemed to justify the premium price tag. Little did I know what lay ahead.

Six weeks after purchasing my Herman Miller chair, bits started falling off. Alarmed, I contacted the dealer, only to be told I could either fit a replacement part myself or pay £50 for repairs. For a chair of this calibre and cost, I found this unacceptable.

Seeking clarity, I called Herman Miller's customer service. The conversation that followed was nothing short of baffling. The unnamed representative informed me that the warranty information on their website was irrelevant, as dealers could set their own terms. When I questioned this discrepancy, he suggested I personally email their web design team to complain.

Bewildered, I asked why he couldn't relay this information internally. His response? He hung up on me.

A quick online search revealed I wasn't alone in my frustration. The abundance of one-star reviews suggested a pattern of poor customer service.

As I reflect on this experience, I'm left wondering: has Herman Miller lost sight of the customer in pursuit of profit? The gulf between their polished marketing and the reality of their service is stark.

One thing's for certain - I won't be buying from Herman Miller again. It's a cautionary tale for those considering premium furniture purchases. Sometimes, the emperor really doesn't have any clothes.

I can't find anywhere to leave an actual review for my Herman Miller Embody, so I will leave it here in hopes that other people find it.

I bought this chair during a Sale for about $1400. This is probably single handedly my worst somewhat expensive purchase to date.

To start, this chair is terrible for tall people. At 6'3, 210 pounds, this chair didn't even reach my mid back. There are optional third party $200 dollar headrests out there, but they are tension based, and I'm not convinced that this would solve the problem. I still don't think it would be tall enough, and spending an additional $200 dollars on a headrest for a ~$1500 dollar chair is equally absurd.

Next after about 3-4 months of use, this thing felt incredibly flimsy. It actually felt MORE flimsy than a regular $200 dollar office chair. It creaked, made a lot of noise, and in general never felt very sturdy.

The seat was also incredibly uncomfortable and It felt like I could never sit all the way in the chair without continuously sliding forward.

After 5-6 months of use, and my mid back killing me constantly from having no upper back support, I ended up selling this chair for about half the price that I purchased it. You can actually find dozens of these deals online from all the people trying to offload this chair. I ended up purchasing a secretlab XL for more than half the price, and this chair is about 5 times better all around.

I workout and stretch daily. I'm Infront of the computer A LOT for my line of work, and posture is a big deal to me. This wasn't an issue of sitting in the chair wrong, it just isn't comfortable.

Don't make the same mistake that I did. Herman Miller chairs are extremely average and incredibly overpriced.

First of all, I had many questions needed to be answered before deciding on Fully Jarvis standing desk and when I called the customer support they were very helpful and patient for all the questions I had. I also wanted to make sure that they are responsive before deciding as this would affect my future connections with them if I need any help. Second, I informed them that I might need to disassemble the desk after sometime for moving so I need a spare package of screws, and they quickly sent me one for free. This was amazing. Now, I am waiting the desk to be arrived next Monday, which will arrive withing the 6 working days window they mentioned on their website. So, I received an email from InPlace, their delivery partner and informed me with the date. I am really excited about receiving the desk. I will update this review with my later experience with the delivery. So fare, I am super happy.

My previous review was based on a slow response which was swiftly resolved and was given a reasonable explanation. Happy to say HM warranty was solid was given a brand new replacement so super pleased.

Purchased 1800+ Chair expecting the quality that a chair of that price should be. Arrived damaged, cheap wheels that break off in shipping is not acceptable. Instead of fixing the problem, im told I must send pictures of the damage? What? You trust me to charge me,but not for me to report in minutes of receiving the delivery that your product is not only unsatisfactory but damage in shipping. Then the fiasco continues. Cannot generate a lable,then cannot be generated for several days,then it's a different department and on it goes. Keep in mind this is an almost $2000 office chair,for that cost it should have white glove delivery . Instead I receive condescending emails from the supposedly Customer Management Team. Finally Get the lable after much back and forth. Fed ex,same guy that dropped it off ,picks it up. Can't refund me till received, once I complained again about that,they send an email That I've been refunded. Now thankfully I chose to pay through affirm if not I'd be fighting to get my money back. Instead they refuse to notify Affirm that I've canceled returned not purchased their inferior product. So yes you guessed it. Affirm is still expecting my 1st payment for a Herman Miller Chair I do not have. Please consider your purchase they are not what they were. Products are cheaply made ,break in transport, customer service is atrocious. Buyer beware is all I got to say.

This company lacks any form of customer service. I contacted them to exchange/refund my chair I bought but I missed the cut off by 2 days, may I add there was the Easter bank holiday at the end of the 2 weeks and they refused to take that into consideration.
The chair is uncomfortable and not as described.
Avoid this company.

I returned a chair and received an incorrect refund. HM said that they charged a "Return Shipping Fee" ($49) and a "Return Shipping Cost" ($49) - what's the difference???

I don't own the chair and out $100, total SCAM. DO NOT BUY from HERMAN MILLER.

I purchased the Embody chair about one year ago, and let's be honest, I sold it a few weeks later. It's simply not worth it. The major flaw I found is the lack of neck support. I spend over 10 hours a day at my desk, and for me, it was simply impossible to endure. I couldn't get used to this chair at all. Eventually, I switched to a leather chair of the same price, a type of executive chair, with a high and cushioned headrest, and I have no regrets. It's like night and day. Even gaming chairs under €300 that I tried seemed more comfortable to me. In my opinion, this brand relies solely on excellent marketing, but the quality is lacking. Of course, I contacted customer support to try to return the chair, and they clearly told me to go jump and that I should just resell the chair. I have rarely encountered such poor, unprofessional, rude, and ineffective customer service.

The chair lasted almost 2 years. Herman Miller is now unwilling to help me with a fault with the chair and won't come to look at the fault. For the cost of the chair, I expected better - quality and service. I wont be replacing with another Herman Miller chair

Customer Service is really poor. I corresponded several time re delaying an order, yet it was still delivered.

I then felt pressured into accepting the delivery as I was told I would incur additional charges and at 07.00 I simply didn’t have the time to waste on arguing over a chair.

I am partly at fault as I wanted to see if the more expensive chair was better for my needs and was awaiting a swatch. At this price point however, it is not the service you would expect.

I cannot give a 1. My whole office uses Hermann Miller chairs and has done for years with little obvious complaint. They adjust beautifully. I would simply urge anyone reading this review to evaluate a reseller first.

i split an arm rest pad, i order replacement.. that took a whole month to get to me AND ITS THE WRONG KIND does not fit. sent an email help request through their website and got no response and this was at least a week ago.

so if you have a aeron chair ..they do not sell arm rest pad replacements. i dont know what model they sent to me but its not for my chair which i paid full price to their website for

There is a huge gap in service quality between HM for the trade and "HM store". A recent attemp to buy an item from was off to a bad start when they sent it for shipment during the period I specified not to deliver - their error. It took a while to learn that a replacemement would take 3mo. The reps I spoke to ranged from unhelpfully passive-agressive (Tameka B) to others who made promises but could not deliver. CS reps appear to not know much about their products. A tedious, time-consuming and frustrating experience. Never again.

For such an incredibly expensive chair, their customer service is the worst. They don't support their products and heaven forbid you need service or help. I vote with my money and it will not be a Herman Miller ever again.

Bought an Embody and am very happy. Received within 10 days. Initial chair had an issue with the right arm rest however they sent a replacement in 2 weeks and collected the original.

We have had our Herman Miller chair for 3 years now and it is the WORST office chair we have ever owned. Here's why: there is just not enough cushion on the seat so when I sit in it for more than 3 hours working my butt starts to hurt. In addition, the edge of the seat (because of the lack of cushioning) cuts off the circulation in my legs and then my legs start to hurt after 3 hours of sitting in it. Also the mesh backing is terrible! It rubs against my shoulder blades and that also hurts. Resting your back against a hard plastic mesh for hours in a day hurts! a LOT! To remedy these issues above, I had to purchase a seat cushion and a lumbar cushion which now makes the chair bearable to sit in, however, we will be replacing it with another inexpensive chair. We wasted over $600 dollars when we would have been much better off buying a $200 chair that already has cushions on it. Do not buy a Herman Miller chair if you value your comfort. They are definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Loving my Embody Gaming Chair so far. Massive upgrade to my work issued second hand office chair.
Fast delivery. My chair was expertly packaged within a large box and securely delivered to my door. No assembly required. Customer services responded quickly with my query post delivery. Yes, its pricey product but you back will thank you in the long run
