Guy's and St Thomas' Anmeldelser 

Right now I was in Tomas and Guy dental hospital. I have terrible experience and I am stressed out a lot. I was referred here from my dental practice 6 months ago. Because of multiple reasons not from my side I had appointment only on 8th of February. While waiting I lost one tooth and did expensive treatment for another one in private clinic. My appointment started with dr. Amon and after dr. Sara suddenly came to us and quickly looked to the paperwork where information was not up to date as I had the newest scan from Kingston hospital with different situation. Dr. Sara told to dr Amon as I need only advice he should go somewhere else. I was already unhappy from her involvement And I told that I need action as I have pain in one tooth and a bunch of other problems. I wouldn’t like to write about all of my diagnoses in here. Then dr Amon did check up. After dr Sara turned back only to keep her promise that I will get nothing except advice.
I had a lot of conversations with my dental practice that I definitely will get the treatment in Tomas and Guy and not advice. They could solve at least one of my problems. I got already 4 advices from my dental practice, private Nelson dental, Kingston hospital dental and Tomas and Guy online appointment (((((. I didn’t need fifth advice. I found it very cruel. I just don’t understand why they are not working and just playing with people? Waiting for 6 months just for fifth advice when one of them was in Tomas and Guy???? If I tell that I feel stressed out it’s not enough. I feel as I was a part of game and I was deceived. I didn’t like dr Sara. If your hospital doesn’t do any treatments just inform about that doctors and patient before coming. While waiting you I lost already one tooth, made expensive treatment for another one and now maybe I will lose more. I feel mislead and deceived. I understood one thing my dental practice reffed me and told me that I will definitely have treatment and Dr Sara didn’t do that as she promised even before looking to my newest scan from Kingston hospital. Terrible experience.

Best hospital with best carers, i had a cardiac surgery all went fine with best service

The dental care at guys was fantastic the staff so friendly and caring the lady dentist and her assistant were so caring give them 100 percent

i would never recommend guy’s dental hospital to anyone. they have a complete lack of empathy and only thing they’re good at is lying and bullying. issues at guy’s caused me to get severely mentally ill. my surgeon even answer her phone and was off for an hour in the middle of my appointment causing me to miss my train home. no apology. no remorse. been there 3 years and have had no treatment. it’s been the worse time of my life. i had discharge myself because of the memtal health damage. never again will i go to guy’s. their dental department lets down the rest of the hospital.

I came in to the AnE department describing multi-systemic symptoms that mean my life is at a standstill.

I strongly believe I have brain inflammation that stems from an autoimmune condition my GP suspects and that I am in the process of being investigated for. Most of the time I cannot speak coherently, have severe memory loss, am unsteady, have vision issues, muscle twitches, muscle weakness, worsened motor skills, very low mobility, breathing issues and a range of other neurological and neuropsychiatric issues.

I was patronised and basically called a liar/a fantastist, and told to "push myself" based on unsolicited judgements about my current inability to work. I am trying incredibly hard to manage my life largely totally alone with symptoms of what could well be an acquired brain injury.

The idea that mental health and physical health are often essentially one and the same still seems to be very foreign to the medical staff I encountered.

I also believe that because I am female, I am young and have been misdiagnosed as simply a mental health patient most of my life I am just treated as if my voice doesn't count for anything (this is hardly an uncommon occurence).

I really believe I could die or suffer permanent brain damage, I have symptoms to match, and yet they won't give me a sincere minute of their time.

They might mean well on some level but it isn't good enough. They are failing people in desperate need of care who have already been neglected and mischaracterised as much as it is.

You cannot deny people a life because they also happen to have some kind of psychological difficulty as a part of their health issues, and then judge THEM for the result of years of medical neglect you are actively contributing to.

I don't let anyone pressure me into ignoring my own voice anymore because that only contributes to a low quality of life.

Simply Appalling, they lied in their letter to me.

I went there in pain with infected dental implants. The Hospital wrote to me telling me that I told them I had Peri-implantitis and was being treated for it.
An Absolute LIE, I had never heard of the word so I could Never have said it and I told Guys Hospital this.
I was told the (trainee) consultant had seen it in the X-ray. NO, what he saw was INFECTION - unless of course the infection shouted, I am Peri-implantitis.
An old, coming apart and dirty dental implant bar had caused this infection, I told the Hospital, I even sent a photograph of this Bar pre-dating 2008 that was not my bar. I asked for an apt. to see this consultant and was Refused.
I even sent an email to the hospital from my implant dentist saying I had not had it thus he did not treat me for it. It made no difference.
I cannot EVER trust another hospital again.

I have noticed a theme... I have found government organisations never claim them on Trustpilot, I wonder why.........

Truly awful experience.

I have been suffering with gallstones for nearly 10 years. After 10 years of being disbelieved, both by my GP and the hospital, I paid out of my own pocket to get an ultrasound performed privately which showed that I did indeed have gallstones.

Since I proved that I had gallstones in September, I have been admitted to St Thomas' for surgery. However, they have been slow, rude and completely unhelpful.

They will not respond to me when I write them, email them or phone them and what's worse they won't even respond to my GP's correspondence with them.

They gave me codeine but was only told afterwards (when I had none of the pain relief but all of the horrid side effects of the drug) that apparently "30% of people can't absorb the painkiller". I was in that 30% and there is nothing else they can do for pain management.

Except there is, they can remove my gallbladder. Something that I have been waiting since September to have even a date for.

My name is Soraia Da Cunha Jeronimo.

I had an appointment booked for the 08/05/18 at the Orthopaedics in Orthopaedic Centre, Southwark Wing, Guy's Hospital.

This is due to a Ganglion Cyst on my wrist which is currently sitting on my nerves, and now because of this I have repetitive strain injury in my wrist and I am unable to move my wrist.

On the 30/04/18 I had to rush to the hospital because the blood stopped circulating in my hand and my hand went numb and I was unable to use it for 6 hours.

I have waited 8 weeks for my referral appointment to then receive a text message on the 04/05/18, four days before my appointment with a change of appointment and to find out that it has been moved to the 06/06/18. This was changed by someone called Michaela Louren Oxley, who since 15:25 04/05/18 has refused to take my calls and explain to me why and how she had the right to change my appointment with my knowledge or without the decency of a conversation!

This will be 12 weeks now that I have been waiting for my first referral appointment.

This is conflicting with my health and affecting my life as I am unable to work because of this and the NHS have done nothing to help.
