Ease of contacting even on a Sunday. Speed of engineer visit and how quickly problem was diagnosed and fixed. Clear explanation given by engineer.

From my initial contact by email, the company were efficient, friendly, and good value for money. The engineer communicated with me in good time and he was friendly and dealt with the problem promptly.
Very impressive service and I'd happily recommend Gledhill Response to anyone.

Don't believe the warranty. As an installer their warranty is appalling. They claim to cover components for several years. You try getting them out. After approx 20 emails, would not honour warranty or even send someone out to have a look unless your pay £120. They do everything to wriggle out. This is not the way to get installer to use your products and sent income your way. I'm done with your sub standard after care. This isn't just a one off. Every time!!! Gleadhill/- please don't reply with excuses, you have more than a chance to do the the right thing for customer/ installer.

Following my initial experience, and the below review, I was contacted by Gledhill. Their concern was genuine, so I allowed them the opportunity to put things right. They did just that, and went beyond and above. I believe the initial failures we're not how Gledhill usually operate, that they have addressed the issue internally, and that their focus is indeed on customer satisfaction. Following such great support, and great customer experience, I'd now happily recommend their services to anyone that asked about them.

I recently queried a quotation with Gledhill re. a new storage heater, for someone in her nineties. The quote was as follows:
Product Cost (inc VAT)
Heater HSD150 £1071.20
Removal & Disposal £300.00
Fuse Socket £40.00
Install 2 Hours £290.00
Sundries £40.00
Total £1741.20
This breakdown wasn't on the quote, I had to request it. Upon doing so, she was offered a £100 reduction (as the quote stated discounts had been applied, though not evident) bringing the cost to £1641.20
I advised she wouldn't require the 'Removal & Disposal' as the existing heater was in good order (just wasn't a storage unit), and presumed it brought the price down to £1341.20
Guess what, it doesn't!! It's a fixed price, suggesting the breakdown is a mask for inflated profit.
Check your quotes to see what you are really getting. I'm getting a local electrician and saving the best part of £500 for her (Quoted heater is £900 online inc. VAT)

After having multiple issues with an vented cylinder and reaching my third replacement, I was extremely reluctant to have Gledhill Response handle the installation (as previous installs were done by a private plumber).
I really shouldn't have worried. Steve from Gledhill installed the new cylinder and took the time to explain exactly why the system had been making noise.
Excellent service—Steve is a real asset to the company, and I wish there were more competent professionals like him.

Gledhill boilermate engineers are really knowledgeable about these appliances as they are quite complicated to understand they fixed our problem and would highly recommend their service much appreciated

The engineer who visited checked my problem taps as they were old just replaced them also he did a small job in the bathroom nothing too much trouble he was excellent a very pleasant man great company 👍

I was anticipating having to write a negative review of Gledhill after my cylinder sprung a leak. At under 3 years old it was well within the warranty period but both my installer and their retailer had gone out of business, so I was left with nowhere to turn other than Gledhill themselves.
I was led to believe by the plumbers merchant that bought the retailer out of administration that Gledhill would not honour the warranty and not even collect the old cylinder for inspection.
However, I bought a replacement cylinder in good faith and also because it was a simple swap. I contacted Gledhill and Vern was very helpful and quick to reply to my query, they organised the collection quickly and said they would respond once the cylinder was inspected.
I did have to chase it up past the timeframe they stated it would be resolved in, but was pleased to hear that they had accepted my warranty claim and although the refund amount was less than I had paid for the cylinder and its replacement, at least I managed to get a reasonable amount back to help with the costs.

I just had a call out from Daniel Lee for my water heater that had been out of action for several days. Daniel provided excellent service and explained fully what he thought the problem was and the potential risks given the age of the heater. He was polite, efficient and helpful. I moved into a new apartment and found the hot water cylinder wasn't working. It's quite a complicated system that a lot of heating engineers wouldn't know about . I was left Gledhill's number by the previous owner and the came and fixed it straight away. I have now joined their annual service and call out contract and it's excellent value.
