Mainly the lack of communication in respect of my order. I am still awaiting one item but have received absolutely no update since I placed the order.

Completion of order
Even though I had to wait a few weeks for part of my order I was informed of the date they would be in stock. They arrived today roughly the date given. I have had really good service from Gift Discoveries. I am never waiting long for parcels to arrive and am told of any delays.

Improvements could be made
Delivery took quite a few days so that could be improved. Ordering was easy and you kept me well informed on the state of my order. The offer price of my product was good. The condition of the garland was ok but it had lost a lot of the glitter which fell on the carpet when I opened the box and lots of glitter remained in the box rather than sticking to the garland.

Damaged packaging
the 4 items that arrived today were badly packed and the parcel was torn and taped over making me wonder who had handled it before it arrived with me.

Misrepresentation on cost of delivery being free on ALL online orders. I paid £6.95. £10 discount not applied despite over £75 ordered. Customer services contacted and apologised but did not honour what was clearly written in current catalogue. Poor show

We do advise that as we use some specialist suppliers for our items, your order may arrive separately, I can see that the items you ordered were from a variety of our specialist suppliers so on this occasion did have to be sent in different parcels.

Disappointing quality
I have traded with this company for several years and each Christmas I buy my two sons an initialed wallet. Previously each wallet has arrived in a sturdy presentation box and the leather has felt thick and long wearing. This year I placed my order as I normally do but when the wallets arrived they were in a simple cellophane bag and the leather felt to be of an inferior quality compared to previous years. I appreciate that everything now costs more but I was very disappointed in the reduced quality of the wallets. I would have preferred to have been given the option of buying a better quality item or alternatively been advised of the reduced quality by the company in order to make an informed decision. Sadly I do not feel able to return these goods as I do not have enough time between now and Christmas to source an alternative supplier.
