Disappointing rate in the end
They initially quoted me to 247K in euros for my requested transfer but when I finally got the pounds to them a few weeks later I only got 237K although I didn't see that the exchange rates had moved that much. Disappointing.

I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the exchange rate you recently received from FTT.
As you may be aware, forex markets are volatile in nature and therefore a quotation you received a week, days, or even hours, prior to your transfer taking place can be dramatically different to a live rate on the day of your exchange. As a rate was not secured at the time of your original quotation, I am afraid I can see the market has dropped recently causing a difference in the exchange rate and the final amount you received.
You can protect yourself from movements in the market by securing your exchange rate in advance, before we receive your funds. As soon as a booking is made on our system, the exchange rate is secured and will not alter.
We will always offer the most competitive exchange rate possible and can confirm you would have gained at least 14,000 more EUR compared with your bank.

Excellent service, as always.
I have used FTT on a number of occasions to send sums of money, large and small, to different parts of the world, their courtesy and speed of transaction is excellent, I have also used banks in the past, which have been remote, ineffective and extremely expensive, they should hang their heads in shame (if they had any shame, which they don't).

Great service - saved me quite a bit on a recent Euro - GBP payment V's the rate quoted by my bank. I also really like the feature where you can set up a 'rate alert' that lets you know when your target rate is available!
