Do not go near this company. I accidentally mixed up two return parcels, on for Free People and one for Rixo. Rixo very kindly let me know what had happened and sent the Free people dress back at no cost so I could then send it to Free People.
I contacted Free People to let them know what had happened, expecting them to return my parcel sent in error. They have refused to do so as apparently it is in their terms and conditions that they can't return parcels sent to them in error. I offered to pay for the return postage (even though they could have just written 'return to sender ' and offered to pay for a courier. The answer was no both times. When I asked what would happen to my (very expensive) dress, they said it would be destroyed. I have written to them so many times and just get a generic email and no response. It is actually illegal to keep someone's property or destroy it, but they really don't care.
I have never heard of this policy before, they continue to hold or have destroyed my dress and there is no apology or recompense. Awful

HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT BOTHER

My package has been stuck in transit with zero tracking updates since the ship date.

So I ordered a pair of PJs and purchased it before it was out of stock. I got an email giving me a Tracking Number that leads to an ontrac site, showing it will be shipped on Wednesday, 10th, and will be expected on Thursday 11th. That day came by and it showed that there was a delay. So it said “expected to be on the 12th” That day came by and another delayed. Again Its expected on the 13th, I waited and another delayed again. (Do you see where I'm going with this? Hope this makes sense). Anyway, It repeated delayed after delayed all the way to the 15th. And after the 15th never heard anything after that. It was stuck on Transit, Ontrac showed me the package will be “Expected on the 15th” it's past those days now lol.

Also the Freepeople site, they last updated me on June 14 and said “ An exception has occurred”. Talked to customer service support and they didn't do anything. They told me to wait for 72 hours and that came by and they can't find my package so it's now lost. yay..

I’ve heard from other customers that they delt with these same issues. Look I know packages can be lost, I'm very aware of that. Does that mean it should be ignored? No because there was an issue with the tracking system and that needs to be resolved. So there's that.

Wow where to start. Shocking.
Orderd a bralette for £75 which was meant to take 3-6 working days. Came 2 weeks later.
Turned up and it’s the wrong item- nothing alike, a cheap bralette that looked worth £1
Sent it back that day to get an email days later saying the money would be in my account in 3-5 working days
2 weeks later no money in account and the same email saying give it 3-5days
Will never order of this website again be aware shocking

J' aurais du regarder les avis en avance. Ce site est une honte absolue. Ils m' envoient le mauvais article (pas du tout ce que j' ai commandé) et pour me faire rembourser, la croix et la bannière. Il faut que j'envoie le paquet à mes frais, puis le remboursement pas du tout automatique par email ou je dois envoyer mes coordonnées bancaires et envoyer 10 000 papiers. Incroyable.

THIEVES!!! £300 stolen from me! No chance to speak to someone who can help, never received the merchandise from my last order and your customer service is unresponsive and u helpful and keeps repeating that because the order is showing as delivered they can’t do anything!!!! The courier didn’t deliver the package to me they left it on the street!!! And your customer service is too lazy to even open an investigation with them and find my shipment.
My wardrobe is 90% free people and I am a good client. Is this how you treat your customers stealing money from them?

I purchased a jacket from free people I. August last year. I specifically wanted to purchase something built to last rather than investing in a fast fashion brand.

Unfortunately, the jacket has started fraying and falling apart around the pockets. I contacted free people to ask if this is the usual quality to be expected and received a very basic one line response essentially saying they can’t accept liability as it’s been more than 6 months. The email was very dismissive and failed to even apologise for the quality problems. Very disappointed with the product and service.

My parcel got stolen from my porch and Free People were so helpful and kind in addressing the issue.

Been ordering from FP for a long time and my account was suddenly put on hold. Customer service asked me to contact the FP dispute department to resolve the issue over the phone even though I am an international customer. This is in addition to tariffs now being charged on returns. Guess I won't be ordering from FP anymore.

Free People ship through Evri - I paid £10 for quicker delivery (still 3-5 days) and still waiting 8 days later. It was a dress for my daughters birthday party tonight - DON'T BUY from FP

Awful trying to get hold of them and no discernible service when you do. Robots everywhere but then when you finally get a human, they’re not much better. I’ve had to explain my query at least 4 different times. Appalling, will never order from them again.

I would give this review zero stars if I could. I returned an item and received an email confirming the retailer had received it, yet no refund was issued. When I chased it up, they claimed they’d attempted the refund but said my card provider refused it, then insisted I hand over my bank details so they could refund me by bank transfer — something that completely goes against staying safe and secure with banking information online. Dispute raised with my card provider!!!

Fuyez.. on peut croire que c'est une entreprise sérieuse. Mais au moindre besoin d'un retour de produit, c'est le parcours du combattant.
Free people n'applique pas les lois européennes, se moque de vous, vous fait tourner en bourrique, vous demande des documents impossible à obtenir en mentionnant qu'ils n'ont pas reçu le produit.
Bref, un enfer..
Je les ai signalé sur Signal Conso, je préconise à tous de faire de même.

I have been chasing a refund for the item I returned 35 days ago. I am fobbed off at every turn. No other company behaves like Free People. How can they definitely hold onto my money for over 5 weeks. I have sent them the proof of postage showing the tracking number, I have to wait three more days until they “ process” this. I will be contacting my payment method as this is wholly wrong. I’ll never ever use them again.

Stay away from this place I have yet to receive my item or my money each time I try to reach out to them nothing the phone number doesn’t work. They would not email me back. It’s definitely a fraud. Stay away from free oak.

Service client déplorable! J'ai commandé un pantalon de yoga de couleur noir et ils me l'ont envoyé en bleu... Soit, ça peut arriver de se tromper... Je les informe de leur erreur et ils me proposent de renvoyer à mes frais l'article pour remboursement. J'insiste sur le fait que je veux bien avancer les frais de retour mais qu'ils sont dans l'obligation légale de les prendre en charge car le retour d'un mauvais article reçu n'est pas de ma responsabilité. Ils m'ont bien remboursé l'article mais j'attends encore pour les frais de retour! Je me bagarre avec eux depuis plusieurs semaines par email, on verra bien combien de temps cela prendra :(

9/10 times I get to check out and my contents can’t be shipped to my address in LONDON, England! Why on earth is it on there then?!

Also, Free People resolution to issues is shockingly poor. Brings the entire brand down.

Also, my dungarees tore literally die to loose thread. They are a refusal to assist.

Tacky. I’d say one of the worse clothing companies out there for quality and customer service.

Absolutely awful return experience. You have to print the return label, no qr code, total joke.
This company are selling dresses for £100 made from fabric that's see through. Really disappointed with quality and returns service

Beware of buying swimwear from Free People for a holiday. I placed an order on 10 May for a holiday on 23 May - I thought well within the 5-7 working days. Apparently the clock doesn’t start ticking until the item dispatches (12 May in my case). Now the 21 May I have still not received notification that the items are on their way. They are held up somewhere or lost. Free People are refusing to issue a refund until the end of the business day on Friday which conveniently runs into the bank holiday weekend when I am then away on holiday. Very disappointed.
