After booking my residence in for its yearly termite inspection and chemical re-charge the person on the other end of the phone said he needed to collect the money for the chemicals that day, a month in advance of the service. I refused! said I would pay after the service had been completed. After a number of please hold I need to check with my supervisor, they finally agreed.
The service took place and I thought everything was fine. On checking my credit card statement, I noticed that I had been charged twice. I tried to contact Flick, but the office was unattended over the Christmas break, so left my number for them to return my call. They finally returned my call last week, Thursday.
They said I had to formally request a refund, to which I replied you must be kidding! You guys made the mistake and now you expect me to request a refund, does not make sense. They eventually agreed that they would process the refund.
It is now Monday the following week, still no refund. Rang the office and they informed me they process the refunds once a week on a Tuesday. They did confirm that my request had been put through.
Very poor customer service, they have had the use of my money since the 24th November, interest free. Whilst its not thousands of dollars it is quite a large amount. I cannot understand when they can charge you any day of the week, but can only refund you on a Tuesday.
On another note they have also charged me my monthly subscription, but have not completed the pest control that this charge is for. First time they came it was too wet, the second it was too windy.
I would not recommend using this company and am looking for an alternative for my property. My problem is that I have a termite treatment that was originally served by Anticimex, I presume before Flick took them over. I am not sure who in Sydney can provide this service. As soon as I find someone I am going to kiss this company good bye!

Previously used MLC Pest , never a problem with them . Now bought out by Flick . Had pest spray inside and out . Spiders still present in garden to sane extent as before the spray . Rang after Christmas break as done just prior . Informed they do not cover the exterior after service done upto me the customer to chase down the guy who did the job under Flick name . poor customer service to a once loyal MLC Pest customer!
Flick took two weeks to come to my property and rescheduled the day before. The technician arrived and informed me that he was anaphylactic and could not treat the wasp issue. He did our annual termite inspection and told me another technician will come at a time to be confirmed. He charged for the full amount. The next day another technician arrived and due to cold weather the wasps were not active. He sprayed into the whole and a few wasps died and fell out. He left me a can of wasp spray and left 30 minutes after he arrived. He told me to call if there were any further issues but had no card so told me to call the main number. The next day wasps were everywhere again. I called the number and they told me they would get back to me. I sent an email and no reply so I treated the wasps with a powder from Bunnings and all appeared to be gone a few days later. After two phone calls and two email no response from Flick about my $300 for a can of bug spray. I completed a survey and they called me. They refused to discuss or refund me for the inadequate wasp treatment. Very poor customer service for a long time customer for our annual termite inspection.
We have used Amalgamated Pest Control/Flick for a number of years now and there is no doubt why we use them year after year. Their technicians are prompt, courteous, friendly, and most importantly, professional. This is a company that has not forgotten what “Customer Service” means.

The builder of my house had the land treated for Termites 4 years ago, per the criteria the house needs to be inspected every year to qualify for warranty, this costs $220 dollars for a man to come to your property to tap on the walls and press a moisture meter on the wall to see if there are any moisture, this process takes less than 15min. So basically it's insurance to have this process done in case something happens, and that's okay. Until this year, I was told the inspection is due and the gentleman came and did his business, I received another call a day later saying I'm due for a $2000+ Trench and Treat as advised by the gentleman that came to inspect the day before. I was told that usually it would've been done every 6 years, but due to an change in policy by the Australian government, it's now every 4 years. By this line of logic, I asked whether if this would have been required whether an inspection was done or not, and was told yes, as it's government policy. So I asked whether if I am still covered for this year at least because I spent $220 bucks the day before, I was told NO because I am not going ahead with the $2000+ trench and treat. It's shady business practice because now I decide that I do not want to go a head with this trench and treat and waste $220 bucks for no reason. Had I was told prior to this inspection that an Trench and Treat is required and is due because of government policy, I would have not wanted the inspection AND the treatment. This kind of baiting business strategy is disgusting.

Terrible People at Flick Cairns. Technicians never keep timings. They arrive at different timings from the ones informed by the schedulers. Found technicians Tresspassing on our premises without informing or announcing their arrivals. Found Roaches were present in the warranty period. The technician attended but did spray only in the kitchen area. He did not visit whole house and was out within minutes. In fact he was more interested in having the food my wife was cooking which was generously offered by her, Cockroaches were still found after a week. So had to refer it back to them. The same technician came back but this time he did resort to bad mouthing and mis behaviour right from the doorstep. I tolerated his Verbal Volleys for a while, but when he started misbehaving with my wife, this dis respect towards woman was intolerable by me. To thia I told him to behave himselves or leave. When this was reported to the manager, he withdrew the technician and refused to send another technician.
By refusing to send another technician the manager had dishonoured the services contract and warranty period.
Customer services seems to be non existence, no contact information for customer setvices is provided. When I reported this on their Face book page, some one made initial contact on Face Book Messenger but after my first response to him, he has stopped responding to any further communications. I have tried communicating with some one at the head Office in Sydney or Melbourne but unable to get through because there is no customer services for such a big company, no wonder the regional manager is adamant and deffiant.
Must say no one seems to care at Flick once they have got your money and once you are locked in for a Year.
Was negotiating Termite Barriers quoted at 5K + with this company and was thinking to start from July but I am very happy that I got to know about them early On. Moving out to another company.
Flick came out to help with my cockroach issue at my home. I'm happy with the service and it's now been a few weeks since and we haven't seen the cockroaches after a few days after service. Thanks!

Very disappointing from a large company, poor communication, service person didn’t turn up on time and didn’t tell us what they had done just wanted a signature for their proof of work.
