Awful customer service - avoid

Order a chair, arrived badly packed and damaged. Asked for replacement, not a difficult task. They simply don't have any customer service, it was (and still is) a painful experience to deal with. 2 weeks and not resolved yet, totally unacceptable. No replies, you have to chase them, silly excuses, just simple a bad company to deal with. Avoid. There are plenty of other places that actually employ staff to help.

Excellent Service

Ordered the Frances Gloss Dining Table. Delivered next day as advertised. Courier company rang to book in first. Table was up the same day and looks great in my dining room! Would highly recommend!

Very suspicious company

Ordered 2 bedside tables. They were marked as dispatched the next day to be delivered by DX within " the next few days" but no tracking number was given. After 10 days. no tables...by this time I had read all the online reviews about FADS and DX, I wish I had read them beforehand. I emailed customer service department and they emailed back to say they would chase the order and update me the next day as the goods were showing as scanned into DX warehouse the previous week. The following day, no one updated me so I phoned them after the weekend to find out what was happening They answered straight away and checked for me, the girl then informed me that the order had been "lost" by DX and that they had checked with all the warehouses but nobody could find it. She offered to send out a replacement or I could have a refund, I opted for a refund. I did however follow the phone call up with a very well worded email to cancel my order and acknowledge their offer of a refund as there are certain clauses in their T's & C's that I felt they may try to use against me. I did receive my refund in full a couple of days later thank god! However I have just had a call from DX couriers to confirm with me that I didn't receive the goods as FADS are now putting in a claim against DX for their loss. I have to say that I am very dubious as to whether the goods were ever actually dispatched in the first place as I would have thought that if they were scanned it would have generated a tracking number....I suspect an insurance scam going on here...certainly won't be ordering from them again and only give 2 stars because I did get my refund. DEFINITELY AVOID THIS COMPANY

Complete lack of customer service skills and full of lies

Ordered a high white gloss tv unit 30th November 15, on a guaranteed next day delivery to ensure I had my tv unit set up in time for the Christmas period. On the 2nd December I was told I would get the delivery, took a day off work and stayed in all day, I did not receive the delivery! At order point, there was no estimated delivery date / time as stated on their website and no tracking information available. After contacting FADS they spun some kind of story about not being able to locate stock! (this is after me being told the item was despatched for delivery for the 2nd Dec). They told me the stock was in Norfolk and would take a couple of days for it to be located and delivered (by this time I was questioning their company as nothing added up). I questioned why FADS could not locate their own stock as first they said it was coming from Norfolk, but later I was told it was coming from Birmingham from a different courier. To me, they told lies after lies and then got quite arrogant and rude when I began to question them. After many phone calls (me contacting them to chase my order), the unit was finally delivered on the 7th December - 1 week after placing my order. After opening the unit, there was no delivery note / receipt and no instructions for the 3 boxes of flat packed materials. We waited a couple of days for these to be sent by email. When we started to build the unit, we got half way through and realised something wasn't right, after checking the boxes we noticed they had delivered one box of a sideboard!!! FADS were completely unhelpful when we rang them to discuss this matter. We did not know what we had and did not have. The box we had was box 3 of 3, so we assumed it was that box that we needed. They didn't seem to know what had been sent or what we may have needed to complete our order. A new box was then delivered days later, to our despair, it was a duplicate of one we already had! I was then told they would not be delivering any more boxes or the correct unit as it was now out of stock! By this time it was almost Christmas - 3 weeks later after placing our order. I requested to deal directly with the couriers who were responsible for collecting the now 5 boxes I had in my hallway as I was getting no joy from anyone at FADS. They told lie after lie and where completely unhelpful - although they had took my money!!! I contacted IT Distribution and unfortunately they were no better! They promised they would collect the 5 big boxes from me before Christmas after me explaining they were a risk to health and safety and I have small children. They arranged for it to be collected on 24th December, guess what, this did not happen either! I was left with the packages in my hallway until they finally collected them on the 5th January - 5 weeks after I placed the order and me having to constantly contact them to arrange. Absolutely disgusting service and lack of empathy and courtesy. This firm is to be avoided at all costs!!!! They did finally refund me but they should have given me extra for all of our inconvenience, trouble and stress. They offered me £50 off another order - are they in their right mind!? I would never place another order off them, ever!!!!!! Their website also states that payment would not be taken until the item is despatched, but my money was taken the day I placed the order. Something just does not add up with this company! Steer clear.

Appalling service & consistent lies on top of not receiving the item. DO NOT BUY FROM FADS!

Firstly, I can't comment on the quality of their products because I never actually received anything from them.
I attempted to purchase a coffee table from these scammers at £199.99. It was advertised as having free next day delivery which never happened. That's lie no.1. Eventually, delivery was arranged and I was given a date and time slot. I took time off work to be home to receive the delivery and it never turned up. I chased them and they contacted their courier then told me the courier couldn't find the goods at the warehouse first thing in the morning and that someone should have contacted me but didn't. They told me the courier would ring to arrange delivery that afternoon but they didn't. Lie no. 2. Then the next day they told me they had the item there and they'd send it by a different, more reliable courier. That was lie no.3 as the day after they rung and said they didn't have the item in stock. At this point I requested a full refund (this was a Thursday) and they told me lie no. 3 which was that they'd process the refund straight away. The following Friday (6 working days later) I still didn't have the refund. Called them again and was told my refund had been processed but that it was processed on the Tuesday, 5 days after they'd told me they'd do it. Right from the point of purchase through to the refund and every conversation I've had with them I've been lied to. I'm still waiting for my refund. If you like to be lied to and like to hand over large sums of money for nothing then buy from FADS, otherwise go elsewhere.

Beware this SCAM!!

I ordered a shelving unit from FADS for £89.99, but received neither it, nor an explanation about the delay, for a week despite being promised one day shipping.

When I contacted their customer service team I asked on three separate occasions for a refund, but received only evasive and contradictory replies that were clearly lies being made up on the spot.

I have still not received a refund for the shelving unit, that they admitted had not been shipped, two weeks after having demanded a refund, and have had to contact my bank's fraud department to try to recover the money that they refuse to return to me.

This company is a SCAM and I sincerely hope you will heed my review and avoid these scammers at all costs.

Never recommend or use FADS.co.uk again

I had a horrible experiece with FADS.co.uk. I order a granite table from them and after 3 weeks I received the wrong version of the table and with a big scratch on it. I called customer service to ask for the right table and I've been told that they will contact me to let me know how long is going to take. No one called me back. I had to call them back to find out that a new table will be delivered to me in 2-3week. Very rude customer service. Will never use the again. Price are attractive but service is very very bad.

Great company but let down time after time by their carriers DX

Fads are truly a great company. The sales team are really friendly and informative and I was extremely happy with the Ottoman Brooklyn bed which I purchased from them. However the delivery of the bed was not straight forward and anything but normal. It would most certainly not have been covered by any Public liability insurance!
In brief the driver brought along a seven and a half tun lorry to deliver goods in a rural area. He knew that I would be one of many that day who would have to either take up the option of meeting him in a lay-by to pick up our orders, or face unknown delays until such time as a smaller van became available to deliverer.
Fads were very good about it but only offered £20 compensation. I had met a strange man in a lay-by, taken him back in my car and then given him a lift back to his lorry!!
For this reason I am only giving a 4 star rating and not a 5.
Thank you and beware of DX couriers.

Brilliant product and service

I found purchasing with FADS stress free and easy to use as well as quick delivery time, the product itself was brilliant quality and far cheaper than the high street equivalent. All in all I would highly recommend the site.

Fantastic experience from start to finish

incredible and knowledgable sales advice taking the time to walk me through a whole range of options and explain the pros and cons of each.

Extremely competitive on price - I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else.

Payment and delivery process was seamless and I especially liked it that they kept me up to date on delivery and delivered within a promised time range of 2 hours, meaning I could plan my day.

Whoever runs this company is doing everything right and I'd definitely use FADS for all my furniture.

Excellent Service

I recently inquired about a Stompa Bunk Bed bed to a lady at the FAds office as Id seen other beds and wasnt sure which would be best value for money, fads was the cheapest online that id seen so i called as i had an inquiry about what mattress size to put on the bed, guarentees etc, the lady who i spoken with was more than helpful providing all information to the questions I had and purchased a stompa bunk with a trundle and mattresses. Delivery was hassle free i was contacted to book in and received a text an hour before they arrived. So happy with my purchase and the customer service that I received from FAds, wouldnt hesitate buying more from them and recommended to all my family and friends

hard to believe they still doing business

Placed an order on the 10th of April, 2 days later received an email stating the order has been despatched. 4 weeks later managed to get the delivery date arranged, one of the operators told me that the delivery company would be in touch with me to arrange the time for delivery, it never happene. No apologies from the customer services peopl, and I have to wait 5 working days to get refunded. Do like comedy show?? So buy from FADS.

Great product, great service!

I purchased three tub chairs in beautiful lime green. At first I was a bit anxious as to what I would receive, however, my reservations were unfounded...the chairs were beautiful and compliment my conservatory.

I would recommend Fads to family and friends without hesitation.

Stompa Bunk Bed.

Very happy with the Stompa Bunk Bed we purchased.
After viewing and reading up on many bunk beds we come up with the Choice of 2, the bunk bed from Next and the Stompa.
We were already recommended the Stompa from friends as they already had one and said it was good.
I agree after putting it together it is a very nice a sturdy and well made bunk bed for the money and would recommend it to others.

Awful

I ordered a Wardrobe. When it was delivered, I reported the damage instantly. I was promised three times that damaged / replacement items will be delivered. I was kept waiting for 3 days and no body turned up.

I made a complaint but all in vain. Same people who make mistakes handle the complaint as well.

I request everyone to think 100 times before ordering anything from FADS. Their customer service is awful and will leave you in tatters.

Excellent service.

I ordered a coffee table from FADS and received confirmation of my order immediately and was informed delivery would be 14 - 21 days which was fair enough as it was just before Christmas. However it was delivered a couple of days later by two very helpful delivery people. The item is of such good quality and I am so pleased with it and it is admired by all who see it. I will definitely use FADS again.

Easy as one two three!

I bought a jual table online from fads. Easy ordering. Confirmation of order straightaway. Text and email at every stage of the process. Even given a two hour slot of delivery time on day of delivery. Excellent service and makes a change to be kept informed at all times. Would definitely use fads as the first port of call for anything else I need. Already had a piece of jual furniture so knew the product was good and was happy to find it on fads site. The service from them was exceptional. Very happy and would definitely recommend using them.
