Wasn’t even able to register with them

Wasn’t even able to register with them. The process of making a simple account was absolutely tedious and the end result they were asking me to visit a legal centre to verify my ID. I spent weeks emailing and calling them. Terrible experience

Obvious fraud

Totally unreliable. Ezidebit took $900 from the linked account as accrued interest on their $50 charge back claim without any prior notice. They closed my account 1.5 yrs ago and declined my access the online portal to see any overdue bill and accruing interest. We never received any bills, reminders or notices at all. They waited for the interest grow for 15 months and then direct debit my bank a larger amount. Case is now being investigated by the bank which allowed a direct debit on an rescinded agreement.
I have called eWay/ ezidebit multiple times and emailed to support @ ezidebit.com.au but have not received any replies.

Terrible customer service & Fees

Terrible customer service - the fees they take for first payments and dishonour payments are outrageous and unfair. Waited over a week to get payments processing back up on site after being told we had never had it, we have been a customer with this processing for 7 years! Still no payments processing, they never sent email and after they had, no follow up or activation four days later. Do not join this company find one who has a ethos and good customer service. We will be. They have no idea !

Ezidebit provides a Direct Debit Request form to all businesses who use Ezidebit for their customers. This form has our Service Agreement attached to this for customers to be clear and transparent about any fees/charges and how debits work with our company to help avoid this fee.

THE WORST company I have ever dealt with. They literally steal money straight from your account. We ceased our account with them more than a year ago when we sold our gym and they are STILL taking money out.
Ezidebit was nothing but headache after headache to deal with. Awful, USELESS, unlawful. Nothing 'Ezi' about these fraudsters. These people do not care about you, stay far away.

A bad look

Same as everyone else, Dishonour fees. I had already contacted the company involved and had made arrangements with them.

These guys don’t promote good customer relations and I will be strictly avoiding any business using them.

Ripp off fees

Ripp off fees, $14.80 each time there is no money in your account no warning they charge every day like a fine

If you're a business they will tarnish your name.

I will never subscribe to a business that uses Ezidebit

Hi James,

I called Ezi debit and totally useless and the operator used recycled T&C jargon talks and offered no resolution.

I asked for my card to be removed, would not do it.

Where is the contract you promised you would send that outlines the T&C's I signed to agree to a rip off dishonour fee of $14.80?

Again today another $14.80c charged to my card that's 4 in 2 days! $59.20!

For those reading, Ezi debit fine you at their leisure, no prewarning that your account is to be debited.

The money goes straight to Ezi debits pockets and not the business your dealing with.

It's my mission to take out Ezy-conartist.

You're a bunch of thieves.

Sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with dishonour fees. Dishonour fees are apart of your direct debit authority and if multiple fees have been charged, this will be in relation to multiple payments failing to be taken successfully throughout your billing cycle. If you believe there has been an error and the payments should have been successful, please check in with your banking institution to understand why a declined payment response is being provided. If you need to make any updates to your direct debit schedule or dates that the payments are attempted on, this can be handled with the business we are debiting you on behalf of directly.

You can also contact our support team on 1300 763 256 or support@ezidebit.com.au if you would like to go through your payment history and have confirmation of which payments these fees are related to.

Bottom feeders.

Charging me $14.80 Dishonour fee after taking the money from my account.
Fraudulent.
Never use this illegal company, never trust them and never ever let a real estate or something you use bully you into signing up to them.

Edit: An update, called the Commbank and got information that says there was more than enough money in the account and they took the money without hassle, for some reason they then refunded it and claimed not enough money, then charge dishonour fee, so i call Ezidebeit, the rude arrogant ignorant woman on the phone then calls the Commonwealth Bank of Australia liars and wrong.
What a wonderful company, not!

Stopped all payments with no warning.

I have been using Ezidebit for the past 5 years, when the S!!t was hitting the fan with Covid 19, our backs are up against the wall to provide a great service online. Which we have managed to do, our customers are pumped. We then find out all of our Direct Debits have been stopped by Ezidebit. To date they have provided no legal documentation to show they can. Totally useless. I will be leaving as soon as we are out of this mess.

I want to see the legal proof that they can be holding on to our customers money without passing it on. Our customers are furious.

Never recommended

Got all set up for the lockdown in New Zealand, moved my clients online, even heard debit success (rival company) were cancelling payments and so I enquired wirh ezidebit to see if this was the case.

Then later on, turned out they weren’t collecting payments and were all their businesses.

Never recommended.

Business! Don't touch them with a 10 foot barge pole!

Suspended all direct debits for gyms nationwide with no warning, no options and absolutely no legislative authority. While gym owners are working around the clock to move their classes and offerings online, Ezidebit took the decision to simply stop all payments from all members. Totally unacceptable!

Avoid at all costs!

I absolutely loathe and detest these kind of companies. Any company that implements a dishonour fee is a joke. Especially a $22 dishonour fee! Unbelievable. The fee gets taken, and your account gets debited just the same in a day or two. The provider still gets their payment regardless. But do they get the dishonour fee? Of course not! Ezidebit does. Theres no warning, or chance to just sign in to an app and pay it manually like many other companies permit (afterypay). Just an immediate excessive penalty. Avoid at all costs, merchant and client. Afterpay should bring something out like this soon and this company can go bankrupt.

Thanks for your feedback. There are costs associated with processing payments and retrying failed payments. Billing days are controlled by the business you have the direct debit agreement with, so we suggest reaching out to them in the future to change when the payment comes out of your account to a day that’s more suitable for you. The dishonour fee is stated in the direct debit agreement you authorised when you signed up with the business for their services.
