The worst customer service I’ve ever experience! Will not ever shop there again. What a shame, used to be my favorite place to shop. I have been a loyal customer for almost 20 years and was proud to have almost all of my clothes be from this place. Not ever again. This place could care less about customer service and does nothing to help. I will never ever shop there again.

Believe it or not... they used to be a decent (not great...but decent) store. As the years have gone by, and probably in response to the brick and mortal retail environment, their clothing has become very expensive... and worst yet... of very cheap quality! Most of it is made from synthetic textiles that won't last. They are probably getting it made in China, to sell to consumers that don't know any better. You are better off buying affordable, even if used, quality at a thrift shop.

First time I ordered a skirt and they sent me t-shirt instead. When I was trying to return it they wanted me to pay for that. Now I'm trying to change the item for smaller size and their site doesn't work. Btw when you choose in-store pick up it shows it's gonna be ready today. Once you pay you find out you have to wait till tomorrow. Terrible service

If I can give express women's clothing (-100) I would do that. I order 3 pants that did not fit and tried returning it within the 30 days. As listed on their website, I went to their physical store to return it but could not find the physical store. I then went to UPS with the return label given to me from express but UPS could not scan the code from the label. This store is a SCAM. I had plans to get $500 worth of stuff since my friend raved about it. I have since deleted the order from my cart and deleted the app. My $500 can go somewhere else.

This company is horrible. Let's say you order an item with a great reduced price and when you receive it, and try it on, it's not right in some way. Express WILL NOT exchange the size at the same price. THEY DON'T DO EXCHANGES!! So, you'd have to buy the same item, in the size you need, at full price unless you have another discount code or something.
They are completely inflexible with their returns. If you are delayed for any logical reason in trying on something, and it doesn't work for you, even if it's one day past their 30-day window? You are STUCK AND OUT THE MONEY! The stores won't even take the item back. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
The only store I have is over an hour away. When I called them, late yesterday, the only day they would honor returning my past 30-day item, was yesterday. If I couldn't drive to their store at that moment, they wouldn't honor a return this weekend when I might be able to get there. When you speak to their 'customer service' on the phone or chat, they are parrots. They just repeat the same line over, and over, and what they are really telling you is that you're out the money, and they can't do anything (literally nothing) for you. Unless you can try on an item and you love it? Do not shop online with them.

Imagine being given money for your birthday and saving it to use when you have extra money to use on something more expensive but you don't use it when the gift giver wants you to. (One week) and they take it back. Ouch! That's what they do with their birthday rewards. So I called and explain to customer service that I was going to use it tonight to see if they could re-issue it and they just totally refused to work with me or even display any kind of warmth at all....have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and can honestly say I don't want anything to do with them anymore.
If you’re not proficient with returns
If you’re not proficient with returns, do not order from Express unless you’re absolutely sure it’s a keeper. They give you 30 days from the day you place your order and if you miss it, not only do you not get a refund, but no credit towards anything. Those unwanted items are yours to keep.

Received item in terrible shape- sad QA would allow this to be shipped. Pant leg cuff had a hole, and the stitching coming undone there, and the other leg cuff- furthermore, the waist threads everywhere, the fabric had fuzz balls all over it, as if someone wore it several times, washed it, and then into the dryer. I call to report this, ultimately leading to being called a liar, then hung up on. I then requested stop raising his voice at me several times, the last his response " what's so wrong with me raising my voice at you?" I was blown away. BBB now is investigating, and corporate. Extremely disappointed.

Terrible service. For some reason they haven't updated the backend to the site so when you type in "express return policy" in google it comes back with "60 days". When I went to return some shoes within the 60 day policy they let me know they couldnt take them back because it was past 30 days...
Lady at the Nashville store was rude. Lady with customer support was even worse.

I have been an express customer and credit card holder for years. I was very surprised to learn that the return policy has now changed to 30 days. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the change and unable to return or receive a store credit for an item that was purchased less than two month ago.
I contacted express customer service but no exceptions made even after speaking to a supervisor

I bought a shirt from Express.com a couple weeks ago. When it arrived, I really liked it until I noticed a string of tiny holes across the front of the shirt. When I tried to request an exchange or refund from Express.com, I was told the shirt came from UpWest and they directed me to them. Unfortunately, UpWest doesn't respond to my emails, nor do they answer their phone. When I complained to Express, the declined to help resolve the matter. Beware purchasing from Express.com

To make matters worse, their chat assistants lie. When I told her I was going to write a poor review, she said that she was in fact able to create a return label for my shipment. This was actually false, but I did not realize it at the time.

This was the worst online/ in-store experience ever!! I was trying to make an online order and mine & my husband cards were not going through. I even tried placing a phone order same thing. My bank stated that all members of my financial institution were blocked from making purchases at express.com because of too many fraud cases. I then stupidly went to place an order in the store and the manager & associate couldn’t provide me a receipt for my purchase which were being shipped to my home. I asked for a confirmation number or emailed receipt which they couldn’t provide either. I then called the customer service phone while I was still at the store and they said my order was canceled!! And they couldn’t provide me with any proof of the cancellation either, after we verified my email like 10 times. All the while the employees were looking at me like I was a crazy person for requesting some kind of documentation for the order they placed for me. The money was withdrawn from my account. Now I have to call my bank and explain this embarrassing situation to them after they warned me about the fraud. DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Save your the stress & embarrassment.

I placed an order on May 15th, returned both items the same day (they didn't fit), got a refund on June 7th! Almost two months to give me my money back. Disgraceful service.

An order was placed fraudulently using my account using Klarna. I spoke with customer service with a lady named Jessica or Jennifer and firstly they lied to me and told me they cancelled the order. The very next day I received an email saying the order had shipped. I then spoke with the manger named Joshua. Joshua was not helpful in the slightest, as he then told me do not file a dispute with my bank, did not acknowledge that the company lied to me the first time and will not give me a return label. He additionally said they cannot reach out to Klarna, and could not stop the package from being delivered. I am still waiting on a call back and I have not received any information yet. I intend to now file a dispute with my bank because Express has been useless and full of lies and incompetence.

I wish there was a start lower than 1. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!! I had never experienced such a crazy customer service like from express. Please don't purchase anything online or in store, thinking I will return it. I purchased 3 items and paid around d $800 which one of them was a wrong size. (By the way they sent me a wrong size). I found out after I sent it overseas and brought it back. I asked for exchange, guess what they said "our exchange policy is only with in 30days". I requested to speak to a manager and he was gave me the same answer even if I explained the situation and their own mistake. I am throwing that cloth which is $180 to the trash.

Express in the Galleria mall is the worst store you can shop. Their customer service sucks.One of the workers named Ali he is rude, Disrespectful, has no customer service. As long as this guy Ali is working there I am done with Express.
Cannot use giftcards for online purchases!
I received a giftcard (which expressly states that it can be redeemed at Express.com), but when going to checkout it says that giftcards can only be redeemed in-store. This is a ridiculous policy and should be repealed ASAP.
