On December 6, 2024 with the help of a store employee Florida Broward Mall I bought 2 jeans and paid $180. The jeans never arrived at home. The manager of the store helped me complaining to customer service, they said it was delivered on Dec 13 by USPS, Express carrier. If it was delivered was not in my home. Express said they have nothing to do, it’s their policy, I had lost $180 for two jeans that never arrived. Express is an irresponsible company, never buy from them. I’ll write this review online on every social media so people can be aware of how Express works. Jean Rousselet

I placed an order with Express on January 1st, but soon realized it was set to be delivered to an address I hadn’t used in two years. Unfortunately, customer service was closed when I discovered the mistake. Once I was able to reach them, they informed me that neither cancellation nor address changes were possible. Following their advice, I contacted UPS, only to be told that they hadn’t received the package yet and to check back with Express.
Two days later, I called Express again and was informed that although the order couldn't be canceled, they would update the address since UPS hadn't shipped the package yet. The next day, I received an email stating my order was delayed, which I assumed was due to the ongoing address correction. However, after confirming with UPS that they still didn't have the package, I felt relieved, thinking the issue had been resolved.
Surprisingly, five days later, the package was delivered to an address in Utah—I live in Tennessee. Reaching out to Express once more, I was advised to dispute the charge with my credit card company as they considered the item delivered and couldn't offer further help. Despite multiple follow-ups, they suggested I contact the Utah recipient to send the package back at my expense, even mentioning a $7 return fee if I managed to retrieve it. After escalating the issue, the only recourse they offered was to continue disputing the charge.
Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating. Dealing with unresponsive customer service and receiving no practical resolution has dissuaded me from recommending Express for online shopping. I am not sure what to do at this point but I want to help others by sharing this experience.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service! An order was placed under my account, not me, delivered to an out of state address. I caught it within half an hour and called customer service. Big mistake! They claimed they could not stop the order that I would need to call the carrier. I did, UPS was more than happy to help, even doing a conference call w/Express. We upgraded to a CS manager, well she was worse, still claiming they could not stop the shipment even though they still had the clothes. So they have zero theft prevention for anyone interested. Although I am not responsible for the clothing charge, it drives me crazy that they do zero, and reward bad behavior by thieves. Thankfully I do not find express to be a brand I need to shop for. Wait for the sales and you get better clothing etc from Bloomingdale's and fabulous customer service. So very disappointed with express, will never shop there again.
Do not buy as a gift
Do not buy as a gift! You only have 30 days to refund OR EXCHANGE any items purchased from Express! So if you bought Christmas gifts before thanksgiving you can’t exchange. Had no problems with any other retailer this season except Express. Buyer beware. Is this related to their bankruptcy?
Poor Customer Service
I recently made a purchase online from Express for Christmas gifts for my family. This purchase was made on November 18, 2024, and delivered on November 21, 2024. As I was wrapping my gifts, I realized that 2 of the 6 items ordered needed to be returned as I did not like the quality of the items. When I contacted customer services, I was informed that I am unable to return the items because they are out of the 30-day return window! I was unaware that Express did not extend the return window for the holidays and now I am stuck with 2 articles of clothing that I do not want and furthermore, my giftees cannot exchange or return the items I purchased as a gift! (I was informed that items purchased from 11/22/24 would be offered an extended return window until 12/31/24) I was sent numerous notifications via email explaining early black Friday deals and I assumed that my gifts would be accepted under the extended return policy. I have been a customer for over 30 years and I will never shop at Express again and

They charge you for shipping when you purchase online for returning. They are so dumb they lost a customer for 6.99. And I love to shop. Oh well their loss. With so many options I have they can shove it.

Worst customer service. I returned two items instead of one, and they wouldn’t refund me or return the extra item I sent. I stayed for over an hour trying to explain my point, but all for nothing. They’re trained to lie.

Horrible customer service via chat and by phone! I ordered a gift card for Christmas on 12/11/24 and it wasn't shipped until 12/16/24 when I contact customer service! Then they sent me an email stating it was mailed out but it had NO tracking information and it stated it would be via email? I called and asked them to explain and the man Ajah... or however you say it was extremely RUDE talking over me, arguing, was not able to explain and it seemed like he was a male East Indian that didn't let women talk! He said it would take 13-16 days to get to me. I will NEVER order from them ever again. I can see why they went bankrupt this year due to incompetence, lack of good customer service, management and good quality.

Absolutely trash. Purchased a pair of shoes on November 29th for black friday, normally $225 I got onsale for $75 as a gift. Get an email on December 8th, over a week later that the order was "Cancelled". Called service number and was told that the item is "not available" anymore and thats why it was cancelled. 9 days after placing the order when it was supposed to be delivered by then. Then I was told that I could re-order the item, the one that is "not available" anymore for the sale price of $75 that I purchased it at. Which again, is "not available" as my order was cancelled. And is not available on their site. Which, the link to there site from the email is not secure and would not load. DO NOT TRUST EXPRESS. DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE. I have never had an issue in store. But this is entirely unproffesional and now I have to get a new gift that may not come in on time.

Done with express they want to charge you six damn dollars to send a thin ass pair of pants back that you didn’t even order that was not the color that I ordered or it was not described. I am done with them. You gotta pay to send shit back and you gotta pay for the label this is ridiculous.
The worst customer service
The worst customer service, the worst clothing and the worst guidelines. I exchanged a gift card in a form of rewards so I can use it online because they Don’t accept gift cards online not did. I know that rewards expire in 30 days in which they promised to reinstate it and they don’t. No one should ever buy a gift card from express because they don’t tell you you cannot use it online.

Perfect, no fuss experience
I was VERY skeptical about ordering considering the reviews here, but I used PayPal just in case and it wasn't a pricey order so I gave it a shot. Perhaps I was lucky, but it went great. Order confirmation went through immediately and my tracking info not long after. Item arrived at my doorstep in days. I can't speak to the return policy, which a lot of people seem to have issues with, but it went pretty straightforward for me without a single hiccup.

Worst Customer Service and Website
I placed an order at express.com 10/13/24 and did not get a confirmation email. I waited until the next day 10/14 to check again. The order still wasn’t in my express account and no email so I started a chat. The person in the chat told me there was no order even though the charge was pending on my card. He said my card would not be charged and my rewards would be credited in a couple of days. He couldn’t find an order number and said it did not go through. I trusted him so I placed another order 10/14/24 at his direction around 4:00pm CT. It went through fine. I requested 2 day shipping and received my jeans 10/16. UPS comes 10/17 and there is another pair of jeans that I don’t want or need. I was charged for both orders! There still isn’t an order in my express account for 10/13/24. I was told to return the 10/13/24 order to a store even though I ordered online to avoid going to a store. How? I do NOT have a receipt, email confirmation, shipping notification, or an order number. It is not listed on my Orders page in my express account. Do I get a shipping refund? It's not my error. Customer service acknowledged systems problems and alleges they can see the order now and said it should show up in my Express account in a few days. After it's delivered? Why couldn’t the first representative see it? I always get an email and see the order in my express account immediately so the response from customer service is absolutely insulting. The customer service rep today wouldn't tell me if they could see the chat from 10/14/24. I suspect Express saves transcripts of their chats. Total rip off and waste of my time. I've shopped at Express for decades and won't anymore.
Express Return Policy
I did not realize Express had changed its return policy and will not allow anything to be returned or even exchanged after 30 days. This is a ridiculous policy and is terrible customer service. I won't be ordering from Express again.
If you're a glutton for anxiety and customer abuse
I ordered a shirt online on September 18th. On October 29 tracking said it was still awaiting pickup by UPS. This is obviously not UPS's fault but Express's for not handing it over to UPS. I was certain it wasn't going to arrive by the promised October 3 delivery date since the mode of shipment UPS Surepost which goes through USPS on the final leg. I am told to wait until October 3., If it doesn't arrive by then I was promised a priority reshipment. I call again on October 1, UPS status remains the same. (awaiting pickup) anyone with a brain would know it wouldn't arrive by October 3. Still I was told to wait until October 3. Today is October 3, status is still awaiting pickup by UPS. So they should be reshipping priority as promised right? Wrong!!! i am now told to wait until October 8 again and given case number 0915****. Again with Surepost I am certain it will not arrive by then. What is wrong with you people? Staking your reputation for a shirt? What disregard for customer welfare! Your bad reviews are all over the place!!!I
