I have been a member for 20 years and enjoy using the pool Recently I froze my membership due to having a knee operation. I notified them by email and in person. I did not use the gym for 8 weeks and was still charged.I spoke to the manager to try to resolve however she denied receiving the email even though other members of staff said they had received it . I am very disappointed in the way I have been treated after being a member for 20 years 😞

Avoid this gym like the plague! The service is abysmal, with ridiculously long waits at the front desk due to inadequate staffing. I've waited 15-20 minutes just to be served, with one lone staff member struggling to cope while the manager and assistant manager sit idly by, chatting away and showing a complete lack of interest in helping out. It's appalling to see members being neglected in this way. The steam room is perpetually out of order, and don't expect a courtesy notice from the lazy staff. You'll find out it's broken after you've already changed and made the effort to get there. The lack of customer care and blatant disregard for members' time is staggering. Save yourself the frustration and take your membership (and your money) elsewhere. This gym is a total waste of time and money.
Kicked out for swimming in a swimming pool
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your facility. Unfortunately, my visit was extremely disappointing and concerning for several reasons:
1. Lack of Proper Equipment: The gym is inadequately equipped for a comprehensive workout. For example, there is only one pec deck machine, which creates unnecessary waiting times and limits training options.
2. Unprofessional Staff Conduct: During my visit, members of your staff acted in an aggressive and unprofessional manner toward me. At one point, I was physically threatened and nearly struck, which is completely unacceptable in any professional environment.
3. Unfair Treatment Regarding Pool Access: I was removed from the facility after using the swimming pool, despite following reasonable expectations for pool use. I was not given a clear explanation for this action, and it felt discriminatory and unjust.
4. Discriminatory and Racist Behavior: To make matters worse, I experienced racist comments and behavior from individuals at the gym. Such conduct should never be tolerated in a professional establishment.
5. Overall Facility Standards: Beyond these issues, the facility as a whole does not meet the standard one would expect for the membership cost. Equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and overall organization are lacking.
I expect this matter to be taken seriously and investigated immediately. At a minimum, I request a written apology and clarification on what corrective measures will be taken to ensure that no other member experiences the same mistreatment.
Booming music
This is a nice gym but the music is way, way too loud. I could hear it through my own music on my personal headphones. It was horrendous, please turn it down a bit.
The gym is lovely
The gym is lovely, dark, clean and promotes a personal environment. The staff are friendly and Tyrone Leecy is the best PT. He leads classes with so much energy and enthusiasm. Highly recommend this gym for all levels of fitness.

Excellent staff and very attentive, great facilities and classes. I'm really impressed with Tamika, she helped me set the app and membership a fab employee.
The gym has been refurbished
The gym has been refurbished. And it's looking good. The smoothie bar is perfect after a workout. The staff are all lovely, and special mention to the lovely girl called Nancy who served me at the bar. She was amazing.

2 good exercise classes
2 good exercise classes, HIIT followed by 30 minute streching class. Then went downstairs to the gym which was very clean & tidy. Lauren helped me today, booking me in for the classes on a day pass.

Company needs to stop lying to its customers . Repair / replace equipment . I only use the sauna , steam room and pool , to help with a medical condition when it flares up. I have been member for years yet use the place very rarely yet maintain membership for when I need it. When I called in the jacuzzi had been ripped out. I thought given running cost current financial climate. It's fine. Ill use the steam room. For the last 6 months it has been broken. I have not used gym in 3 months and have need to pay to add myself to my wife's David Lloyd's gym. When Ever I call the place I am told they are waiting on a part next week, next week. For months now. Enough is enough I have requested a refund for the time I have been lied to and a suspension of my memebership until it is repaired. Will see what they say and update post accordingly.
OK where to start.
OK where to start, Staff are good no different to any other place. The equipment is old with at least 3-4 pieces of kit broke, it takes months to get repairs done. Equipment has also started to be moved out? Cleanliness poor, they used to employe a cleaner but not anymore. Mens showers are a bit grim and sometimes smell pretty bad. In its current condition it's a £15 a month gym. Lots of people have left. Advice major upgrades needed ASAP.

I was paying £40 a month for my monthly contract and I got overcharged £40 so on my payment date they took £40 out my bank twice. I contacted the gym I spoke to the workers and the manager and I’ve still got the emails etc but nobody helped me or got me a refund infact I just started to get ignored even though I provided evidence of me being overcharged
