Purchased a car from Evans Halshaw and received first rate service. Phill Holding truly went above and beyond my expectations, I was collecting my new car on my birthday and he had arranged the car to decorated with a banner in the showroom on collection and even left a birthday gift in the car too.

Dealership has sent numerous emails to me, via a thid party mail drop service, for a vehicle I've never owned. Presumably, the owner hasn't received that information. With no contact details for any of the related parties, I've opted out of their communication - but it keeps coming.

I bought a car from Evans Halshaw Chester at the end of September, and honestly, the after care experience has been really disappointing.

The air con is not working and this will cost me £500+ to be fixed, the sales person Chelsea said she disagreed with me in so much the car would have been checked before sale, but who uses air con in the winter!

I got in touch with a few people, including Head Office with no response, so after a few chasers, I was called by Cara, as the manager didnt even bother replying to me emails, let alone call me himself. Cara herself was beyond rude, didnt let me speak and continually interrupted me by saying i needed to let her finish!
I asked for proof of the air con being checked and i was sent an email will jargon on, then followed up by a green report, no detail to it, anyone can do a tick box

The air con wont hold gas as there is a leak somewhere

I paid for a warranty - which said it covered allsorts but but not the air con.

I’ve got outstanding email chain to customer service, the management at dealership and the main Head office all without reply.

I was promised the service department would call me and still waiting this has all been since April 2025.

I’ve been left feeling really let down.

This isnt the first car ive bought from Evans Halshaw, but it will be the last, I wouldn’t recommend Evans Halshaw Chester to anyone.

Phill was a top man! Cannot thank him enough from 1st phone call to completion I went to get an idea of what I can get and souley because of him I got a new car! Phill was very helpful. I asked for an honest video showing any marks, scratches etc of a car I was interested in for my son. Phill sent a video showing exactly that. Even showing the tiniest of scratches. This is something you don’t often find from a car dealer. I would definitely recommend buying a car from him.

Be open and honest when quoting had two quotes neither had hidden charge which I had no other option but to pay when I went for service which they only told me when I arrived felt conned.this is a shame as staff and service was good
