ZERO CARE JUST WANT YOUR MONEY
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration regarding the recent purchase of a stallion box from your company.
Despite our initial excitement about owning an Equi-Trek horse box, our experience has been far from satisfactory. The issues began from the moment we picked up the box, and over the course of three months, it has become the worst vehicle-buying experience we've ever had.
Upon picking up the box, we noticed several issues, including broken flooring in the transit, falling trim, missing caps, and multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. Despite assurances that the vehicle had been serviced, we have yet to receive any service papers or proof of the service.
We were forced to return the box to Sheffield, a two-and-a-half-hour drive from our location there and back, due to these initial problems. To our dismay, when the vehicle was returned to us, it was filled with rubbish, had an empty petrol tank, and the service lights were still on. Subsequent attempts to address these issues were equally frustrating, with no resolution provided by your service department.
The box was them returned to Equi-Trek for a second time to try and resolve the issues. On collection, still no service papers and the dash-bored lights remain on. The money waster on petrol and mileage was ridiculous.
Our concerns deepened when we decided to have the box serviced by a company near us as there was no way we were going to take it back to the Equi-Trek service team. Shockingly, we discovered numerous issues that had not been addressed, and we are astounded that the vehicle had passed an MOT in its condition. The list of problems includes the need for replacement front strut top mounts and shock absorbers, an airbag warning light, a faulty instrument cluster, required tracking adjustments, and unsafe tires that were cracked and warped.
Throughout this entire ordeal, we have consistently requested compensation and encountered zero communication and care from your end. We had to fight persistently to get your company to cover the necessary repairs, which should have been addressed initially. The lack of care and attention to customer concerns has been appalling, and the constant need to chase for updates only adds to our disappointment.
We sincerely hope that the management team at Equi-Trek takes note of these serious issues and takes appropriate action. The current state of your service department is a cause for concern, and we believe that necessary changes should be made to ensure that customers do not face such a distressing experience in the future. This company is a complete and utter embarrassment.

Absolutely disgusted with the service…
Absolutely disgusted with the service we have received from Equi-Trek at Sheffield!
Purchased our first 3.5 tonne wagon (used) from them, from start to now has just been horrendous! On what should have been an extremely happy day, (collection day) turned out to be a complete nightmare.
I had to move the date three times due to different circumstances, giving them plenty of time to ensure the vehicle would be ready to drive away, this was far from what happened.
We arrived on site and we’re greeted by staff and taken to see the wagon for the first time. On opening it up there were no top door catches to keep the top doors from swinging back and forth! They kindly said they would fit them there and then and would take no longer than an hour, this took over five hours to complete!
They then informed us that the V5 could not be located anywhere on site, and the vehicle required taxing! They took my husband with them to tax the vehicle, luckily this was possible.
After waiting five hours my husband left as we needed to be home for our horses, we live in Barnard Castle so not local. My husband left while I continued to wait for the keys!
On leaving the premises I noticed that the wagon needed fuel so made a stop at the fuel station to fill up. As soon as I used the indicators a warning light came on with an overly fast indicator noise!
I promptly called Equi-Trek how asked if I could bring the vehicle back for them to check it over. I asked would they be able to provide me with a replacement vehicle while they had mine. They said that they didn’t currently have any in, so no. I reminded them I had competitions booked and required a wagon, and that my husband had left to go back to our horses in Barnard Castle!
They advised me to take the wagon home and they would be in touch with another wagon and they would collect mine for repair. I collected the wagon on 15/07/2023 and am still waiting for any form of news, despite phone calls, emails, and text messages today being 15/08/2023.
Since having the wagon there are further problems:
Petrol cap broken (can’t lock it, lock doesn’t work)
No tie ups externally
Warning light constantly on
When I did receive an email from Equi-Trek it was to ask for proof of the deposit payment! Stating that they couldn’t find it… I had had an email on 14/07/2023 stating deposit received from the accounts. The person who asked about the payment was also included in the email chain previously….
So the wait continues despite further emails and calls with still being no further forward.
Would I recommend Equi-Trek…? From this it would be a definite NO.
Shocking service and horrendous customer care.
Happy to take thousands of pounds, but not happy to care for their customers.

Organised a part exchange of my old Equitrek with Tom and Dave at EQT Sheffield.
From start to finish these guys have offered the most amazing service ……
Whilst I deliberated over my new trailer, Tom was patient - yet very informative.
Dave then kept me up to date with the progress of my new trailer - sending me regular updates and organising delivery to the NE of Scotland.
The collection and delivery was a seem-less exercise, also thanks to the delivery guy whose name I didn’t get.
Couldn’t have asked for the process to be made any easier.

Great Service
I'm on my second Equi-Trek horsebox, first a Victory 5 and now a Valiant. Both very well designed and very well built. This 5-star review is primarily for their customer service - I needed proof of MOT category and type approval after my local testing centre refused to accept the Valiant for a Class 4 test. I had everything I needed from Tom and Jodie within a few hours. Excellent service, thank you!
Fab little box!
After having a trailer for many years, we recently upgraded to a Sonic. I use it 3 or 4 times a week for lessons and pony club and I absolutely love it! It’s made my life so much easier and it’s easy to drive too, The ponies travel really well, I’ve had my big horse in and he loved it too. Thankyou to Dave for all your help and answering my many questions!!

Following on from my review dated 5th May 2023
Following on from my review at the beginning of May and updated again on the 5th of May. I have the trailer in for repair following the rear axial becoming detached. The company doing the repair can not believe how Equi Trek have gotten away with such shoddy build quality. The bolts on the front axial have been checked and because they also go through part of the "A" frame they are good. The rear axial however is a different story. Apart from the bolt heads there is no upper support for this axial, there should be some form of frame to spread the load under the bolt heads as well as washers. I am hoping that this review will allow me to attach photo's of the damage. I can not stress enough that anyone who has this type of trailer has it checked as a matter of urgency. My name and contact details have been passed to Trustpilot but other than the comment from Equi Trek, I have heard nothing.

Update:
Following contact with Equi-Trek new service manager who has so far been helpful. He agreed to look into my issue. After investigation he called back (excellent service) and agreed there is a problem.
Hopefully, this service level will continue to resolution, and I can update my review accordingly.
Absolutely terrible customer service once you've paid your money. Never call back, no one ever available, not interested in issues even when trailer under warranty. Very poor and disappointing. Would never recommend purchasing an Equitrek especially from main Sheffield office.

Bought a brand new Star Treka Elite in July.
Within 1 week of collecting it the paint was peeling and the front lights were hanging off.
It was taken away and after 3 weeks of being at Equitrek Sheffield I was told it was sorted.
Collected it brought it home same day to find the loading light not working and the red led travel light not installed. The paint was again peeling.
Was taken away again and after another 3 weeks of being away I’m still waiting to hear if the paint issue is sorted.
It’s impossible to get a reply to an email without constantly chasing it up.
They claim that every other department is to blame for the faults.
They truly do not care once they have their money.
We waited 9 months for the trailer to be built and it’s never had a horse in it.

I'm in the USA and have just taken delivery of a brand new Apollo trailer. I am very happy with it!!! It tows unbelievably well, no bounce even at speed, yet so light you hardly know it's there!

We have just bought a used KM Horsebox from Equi-trek. The service from Jodie and Steve was exemplary, nothing was too much trouble. They responded to every query i had quickly. and the preparation of the Lorry was fantastic, they completely refurbished the Horse area, they replaced the floor in the living, the Generator was faulty so they fitted a new Honda unit, they even replaced every catch on the Lorry.
They went totally beyond my expectation and i would recommend them highly to anyone.

new Equi-trek night…
I collected my new Equi-trek night treka today, and I am extremely happy with the trailer, this is my second equitrek trailer, and the quality and service from all the staff at the factory has been outstanding. The trailer is well build, and very light weight and the designers have really listened to the customer and made massive improvements to the new design of the trailer, I can throughly recommend Equitrek for their service and quality products.

I had a problem in Australia with the water heater in Evolution Elite. I contacted the Service Dept at Equi-Trek UK and received a high level of support which resulted in me overcoming the problem. Great service
Super happy with my new Day Treka
Super happy with my new Day Treka. Picked it up last night and it tows like an absolute dream. There is plenty of room for my big horse and lots of storage room for all his gear. The camera is a great feature to make sure he is comfortable while travelling and it gives peace of mind.

What would make it a 5 star review a bit more proactive communication even if its bad news! However, every issue has always been resolved and often exceed our expectations ain the solution provided.
