We viewed and purchased our horsebox from Equitrek. The horsebox was delivered to us making it super easy to purchase as saved us having to make the 2 hour trip twice. We had so many questions before arriving and during viewing but the team were fantastic at answering all our queries. The horsebox was put through an MOT and inspected thoroughly prior to being delivered. We asked for lots of adjustments to be made to be personalised to exactly how we wanted it, as we are transporters so are quite particular in order to make it safe for travelling nervous and young/feral horses. When it arrived we had a look at the adjustments made expecting the bare minimum if I’m honest however it exceeded our expectations by a long shot! The care and precision taken to get it exactly how we wanted it was amazing and showed they clearly listened to what we wanted and delivered just that. Even adding extras that we hadn’t thought of to make for a better travelling experience for our horses.
Just wanted to say thank you so much, we are really grateful to Kristina and all of the team at Equitrek for your help and making this such a hassle free easy experience. The finish quality is fantastic, all the add ons are exactly what we wished for and more. Since leaving we have had to use the ‘warrenty’ for a few minor things (no fault of equitrek/the horsebox). It was a really smooth easy transaction to which they covered it all without any bother like you can often get with warranties!
We can’t thank the team enough, and wouldn’t hesitate but to recommend them and will only buy from them without a doubt in future.

Very smooth process exchanging our storm damaged trailer for a slightly newer model. Fortunately Equitrek were able to pretty much match the trailer we had.

Updated: after a few back and forths the lorry went for a safety check independently and had a few areas flagged that needed work, these were dealt with and lorry returned. They also gave me a hire lorry for the entire period. So I have updated my review. I was persistent but all fixed now.

Never buy from the Sheffield site. Terrible customer service they seem to feel that there is no point communicating proactively even when they have £25k of your money and you have no box. Given a hire vehicle that we pointed out had a flat tyre, they ‘fixed it’ and in 20min had a tyre blow out on a main road at 40mph. Service guys on the shop floor are lovely, delivery chaps are lovely, management just woeful. Now have a box within 2 months has a duff battery and a slow flat.

Absolutely fantastic experience from beginning to end! Conor was incredibly responsive and never pressured me with hard sales tactics. Communicating via WhatsApp made everything so straightforward and effortless! He maintained regular contact throughout the entire process, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Just bought a space trekka and i am very happy with my new trailer. Connor our sales person was excellent and made the whole experience very simple and seamless. I would highly recommend.

Purchased an ex-demo trailer remotely in June. After a breech of contract their end regarding collection of the trailer from the Royal Highland Show, they are STILL refusing to refund my money. Now in legal litigation

Bought a Night Treka after much deliberation and Mercaddes McDonald from Suffolk was amazing from start to finish. She sent me endless videos and talked me through the pros and cons of every vehicle. Finally decided on a night treka and I love it.

Took the trailer for its 3mnth service, everyone from start to beginning has been magnificent and so so helpful, Tom who took my frantic emails, then Lawrence both fantastic and communicating straight away with me, again being so helpful.
On the day of service having travelled 5hrs there we were greeted by Lewis who couldn't do enough for us, helpful, polite and an asset to Equitrek. Thank you team, your helpfulness and kindness gives me assurance that my trailer will be well looked after, thank you again

My experience with Equitrek hire.
After being messed around for over a month on when I could pick up lorry, missed stay away shows etc we made the journey by train to
Pick up (6 hours ) had train delays and were told by company if we weren’t there by 5 tough luck. Got there 4.50 and basically had keys thrust at us and off they went. No proper condition/damage paperwork etc
Went to drive away to find side door wouldn’t latch shut, door to horse area couldn’t close as no latch, the fridge didn’t work and it constantly jumped out of gear in 2nd. Also gaping holes in the floor, rusty undercarriage in horse area. Also had no cameras or hook up despite being told it had as it was “an excel”
Connor completely obnoxious and totally unhelpful as are most of the others I’ve spoken to. They also lie and refuse to take calls. So now at a stay away show 6 hours from home with undrivable box, told no stock to replace it. AWFUL company clearly don’t do pre hire safety checks. About to post on social media with massive followings footage of gears jumping out of gear constantly of this death trap you couldn’t pay me to put my horse in. AVOID at all costs! Once they have your money they don’t give a damn!
Then to add insult to injury had to
Pay £200 on their insurance as they hadn’t sorted the number plates out in time despite having 5 weeks notice for me to
Insure it myself. When I pointed out this was unfair I just got shrugged at. Avoid avoid avoid ! And save yourself a nightmare !

After owning equtrek horse boxes i decided to get another one. I visited the Sheffield dealers back in February where I met David Townsend who helped me choose the right horse box for my needs, the box was built and ready for collection in just over 3 months. My whole experience was second to none, they really went the extra mile and I cannot reccomend this company enough. Great service from start to finish 👏

Took delivery of our new horsebox from PRB. We are really pleased with it and grateful for all the support and help we were given by all the staff. It is unusual these days to find a company that over deliver on their promises. Highly recommended

Collected my new Apollo trailer today and I could not be happier. The trailer was ready and waiting and was in great condition despite being a year old. The customer service and the care was brilliant. David was really good keeping me updated as it was coming in as a part ex. I would highly recommend their trailers.

Just collected my new trailer from the Sheffield Equitrek depot. We purchased over the phone as we live a way away. David ensured us not to worry and we paid prior to coming. We travelled to Sheffield concerned that things would not be as described as we had previously experienced poor service. We were warmly welcomed on our arrived. The trailer was out the front ready and waiting. A great experience, don’t know why we worried. Thumbs up the David Townend we love it.

David Townsend and his team have been fantastic! After wanting a trailer for many years I finally took the plunge. David was excellent, answered all my queries helped me make some decisions and when picking up the trailer, ran through everything thoroughly and patiently. I would recommend Equi Trek to anyone, thank you for a great experience and making my dream come true !!

I made an enquiry about a horse lorry I am planning to buy. It was a 2009 box. The lovely Melissa was extremely helpful and next day was able to answer my question and provide an email for my insurer. There was no benefit to Equi-trek to help me regarding this second hand purchase I am looking into, but despite that Melissa could not have been more helpful!

I am not in the market for a brand new trailer so bought an old 2006 EquiTrek trailer privately. I called EquiTrek for some advice and the year of the trailer. I was treat very well and all my questions were answered. The man on the phone did try and get me into a finance deal on a newer trailer but I have a low credit rating. So I can dream for next time. I will call again to order some parts for the trailer. Thank you to David and EquiTrek

I am delighted with my DayTreka! Conor Thornton and David Townsend were great in managing the whole process for me. David ensured the deal went through quickly so that we could collect our box whilst on a previously arranged weekend in England (from Ireland) and Conor was superb in terms of after sales by sending over a couple of replacement bits that we needed.
