ORDER FOR PICKUP
Order ready at 12:00 PM, TODAY (TUESDAY, 11/9/2021)Please go directly to the pick-up counter and notify a staff member you ordered online. I pulled up at around 12:05pm, the door to the restaurant was locked, pulled it a few times to get someone attention, no one responded. Finally an employee opened the door to deliver food to someone else so I asked her if she could get the food that I ordered online, she told me that I have to pick it up through the drive thru. I was like that Drive thru that has about 8 cars in line she said yes, then another employee over-heard the conversation, stepped outside to give his few cents, told me that I need to go to the drive thru because they are short staffed and he hardly has any cashiers, then I said sir "I already ordered and paid for my order on line and the pickup instructions says to come to the front desk in the restaurant, I don't need to order or I don't need a cashier, all I need is to grab the food and go" he said that he does not have any control of what the online pickup instructions says. So I had to go in line thru the drive thru with about 10 cars ahead of me at this time to get my order, by the time I got my food it was cold. Come on El Pollo you could do a much better job at customer service and resolving issues, much training is need in this area. P.S I will not be visiting your restaurant again, EVER!

The food is good and the prices are fair, however their service is HORRIBLE. Don't order delivery, it's guaranteed to be screwed up, incorrect, missing items, etc. I had, not 1 but 2 orders get messed up in the same day, 10/5. I immediately contacted them, the "door dash" support has contacted them. Around $70 in charges still charged to my card. Told I would get 100% refund on both and yet, here it is 10/29 - 5 class later, several emails and still NOTHING. DO NOT SUPPORT BUSINESS'S LIKE THIS, DISGRACE

This is the worst Pollo Loco I have ever been to. The staff is rude AF! Third time there and again NO SALSA! they never have salsa! sorry but without salsa i don't want it!! they dont even disclose this information until you pick up your order after payment! like really ma'am! then you try and tell them and they ignore you and rush you off. if i ask a question as a customer please pay attention to me instead of rushing off and not answering. to op it off the chips are stale! thanks for the 3 day old chips and no salsa! wow! next time im raveling a little further to a diff pollo loco! avoid the one on imperial and hawthorne!

Amazing Michael on La Sierra and Magnolia
Michael at the el pollo loco on la Sierra and magnolia is the best drive through cashier he helped us get our order in a fast orderly time and even went above and beyond to supply us with stuff needed to enjoy our food and he did it while following covid regulations and even exercised the correct safe food handling procedures with a smile on his face and a great attitude I recommend he be made employee of the month and receives a pay raise effective immediately and/or is promoted to a higher position when all else fails u can count on Michael #MichaelRocks #AmazingMichael #NiceSmileMicahel
Poor service and time misrepresentation
Ordered our food by phone 2 nights ago at 9p.m. was there at 930 p.m.and the place was empty. No employees and no dinner for our pickup. Sign on door said they close at 10pm. If you Google up the time closing it says open til 10 p.m. They didn't even tell us they would not be there after 9.30 p.m. Called their main office and told their customer service what happened. So tonight I called the store on Fiday and the store manager said they are closing at 8p.m. tonight. Be aware, There is no given schedule to this N Hollywood location at Magnolia and Vineland Ave. They close whenever they feel like it and if you phone in an order to them you will be lucky to find your order or any employees still working there. No way to run a business.

I ordered the family meal to go once I reach my family home I find out my chicken was very dry and burned out and too salty. The coleslaw has a bad spoil taste and my beans was too watery. I called and complaint and they offer me 25% discount in my next meal this is not acceptable Will never buy again. If I can give no Star I will.
I ordered a thigh, but I got a bird butt
Friends picked up a take-out for me at El Pollo Loco. I asked for and paid for a leg and a thigh. I got a leg and a bird butt (back meat). The leg (drumstick) was dry and impossible to chew, like leather. The "thigh" had a back bone running through it -- it was a bird butt, much cheaper and less desirable than a thigh. The meat on the bird butt was stringy and unacceptable. I paid for a thigh, not a bird butt. I can't go back because I don't have transportation, so I complained on the El Pollo Loco website, but they're ignoring me. My friends said that they also got two bird butts that should have been thighs. They have lost a few customers.
First and last time customer
First time customer, last time customer. Family meal, chicken was burnt and small pieces so dry you choke on it. Did a pick up order jordan landing Utah, had to wait outside 15 min in 100 degree weather because they close from 3 to 4. Who new? Covid BS. Small sides means real small. Over all taste was bland with evrything. Dissapointed!
AWFUL
AWFUL, both items were inaccurately priced. The double chicken salad they completely changed- very little greens at all. It stated corn, but NO corn was added. I used to go for the salad, but will NOT anymore as not worth the unstated price and not accurately described. DON'T BOTHER!!

What happened to the chicken tostada!?! It got smaller and does not taste the same! Not I don’t have a favorite order.
Two different experiences
Ordered two tostada's because they have been advertising so much lately. The lettuce was dead and there was nothing fresh about it. This was the store in Pasadena, CA on Hill and Colorado. Purchased the same tostada two days prior from West Los Angeles and it was as advertised. No consistency between stores!!!
WAITED 30 MINUTES FOR NOTHING
I entered the drive thru at about 3 pm and at 3:15 and employee came out and told us that their system was not working and that we have to wait longer. I was stuck in between car and had no choice so I continued waiting. Without being able to place an order.
20 minutes later, the line moved and everybody was able to leave. It was 100 degrees outside , at no point they offered us a cold drink even water or anything. The manager did not show up to apologize. What kind of business is that ? And it says WE ARE HIRING!!
Who wants to work there ?NOT!!
Awful management, I will never return there. There are so many other restaurants in Merced who care about their customers. I wish I could put zero stars!!

This was a god awful experience, so my family and I decided to have El Pollo Loco for dinner, and we tried ordering online, and yet on their website, they said they deliver but when we tried ordering on the phone, guess what they said "Sorry but we don't deliver" this to me felt like a scam. IF YOU DON'T DELIVER WHY IN GOD'S HOLY NAME WOULD YOU PUT ORDER FOR DELIVERY ON YOUR BLOODY WEBSITE!

I am writing to let the public not to order from pollo loco. In my years being loyal to this business I have decided not to referred anyone to el pollo loco OR PURCHASE FROM THEM ANYMORE. My experience was through postmates the delivery service my order never arrived and decided to call the store directly after multiple times calling the store on margarite and la paz in mission viejo. My husband decided to drive there once he got there he requested to speak to a manager. The manager came out to talk to my husband and the manager was very rude did not care of what the issue was and did not even attempted to care of the explanation. My husband even told him we try calling multiple times about are delivery issue but your phones are down. The manager respond yeah and... Is this how pollo loco trains their managers for customer service. Then I am extremely disappointed. They should not even be in business if they don't care about their customers. I would not even give them a star but I did not have another option to write about the issue.

I have loved the flavors of El Pollo Locofor some time now. I realize that being in a location like 24th and Northern may change the outcome but I never expected the level of rudeness to be so high! I asked to have my flour tortilla placed on the grill quickly but that was a no. I wanted to take advantage of the free chips and guacamole if you downloaded their app. But I was too late. I should have requested it before I paid for my order! Sondra and her two male counterparts just could not be bothered with providing any type of customer service today! As I came to make my review I find that this level of service is normal.
El Pollo Loco Intentionally Cheating Customers
For the longest time I was a KFC and Popeye's Chicken fan. Several years ago I switched to El Pollo Loco after eating there. Even though the portion sizes at El Pollo Loco are smaller than the other two restaurants, the quality of the chicken I felt was batter. It has been my go-to for several years now. That may change. I understand that fast food restaurants sometimes get orders wrong. It happens, it has happened to me at El Pollo Loco. If it does, I just take it back and ask them to correct the order. That was until tonight. I am so disappointed with my order tonight it has cost me to seriously consider going back to KFC or Popeye's. I order a four piece breast and wing meal tonight. I did a visual check to make sure it was the right order and drove home. When I got home and opened the container, I could not believe what I saw. I had four pieces but the weren't full pieces. They actually took two of the breasts in the restaurant, cut them in half, and then placed the halves in the container. So, instead of two wings and two breasts, I got two wings and two halves of a breast. This wasn't a mistake in the order, or something they forgot, this was an intentional cheating a customer of their order. There is no other way to couch it. I have pictures of the cut pieces if anybody wants to see them. Shame on you El Pollo Loco. You might just have lost a customer.
