I travelled with EL AL airlines several weeks ago, traumatised by the experiences.

staff are horrifying rude, they scanned my luggage and myself, as i had stamp from Turkey. when I was travelling back to UK (MY HOME TOWN). treating me like a terrorist, scanning and scanning ridiculously.

Women working there are trained like animals worse than the men.

awful experience wouldn't recommend them and not using them again, pay a little more and use other airline. control freaks and weird rude workers.

they broker into my check bag and broke my bag lock, as i received in UK- i was left so confused and horrified for travelling to Tel viv.

I Want to warning any one thinking about using this airlines I wish I can make it negative star due really bad service and customers service they are so rude and mean I have to deal with them
For over 14hrs. Also I really believe they are discrimination for alcohol drinking allowed to first and business class but not allowed for economic class even with charges.
Even using the bathroom not allowed economic class using the business one. Plus the securities it’s really over they took your own pers to check out away from you to check it out and bring it bag what kind of securities that?

Flew Tel Aviv to NY JFK. It was fine, food surprisingly good, leg room fine, too much marketing emails but can unsubscribe I guess

By far the most secured airline in the world. Best customer service and the food (leaving from Israel only…) is amazing.

einmal el al nie wieder el al. die fluglinie zählte zu den sichersten der welt. bei unserem letzten flug war das bodenpersonal völlig überfordert, unfreundlich und genervt. auch an bord war von der freundlichkeit die wir bei el al kannten nichts mehr zu spüren. die bestuhlung in der kabine ist so eng das ich bei einer körpergrösse von 173 cm kaum meine beine bewegen konnte. ich kann jedem nur abraten el al zu nutzen. auf dem hinflug hatten wir ca. 2 std. verspätung ohne das wir eine info bekamen wie langen es wohl dauern könnte. auf dem rückflug ließ man die maschine ca 2 std auf dem rollfeld in der prallen sonne stehen und es gab wieder keine info für den grund. für uns steht fest das der neue inverstorseine job sehr gut macht die fluglinie gegen die wand zu fahren.

I am truly disappointed and disgusted at this airline. My husband and I planned to visit egypt and Israel in July/August 2022. We flew from South africa to Cairo, spent a dew days touring there, and then traveled to sharm el sheikh, we were then supposed to fly from Sharm to Tel Aviv via El Al - this flight was booked directly via the El Al website. However, upon checking in, we were prevented from boarding by an El Al representative named Dimitri even though we had fulfilled all the necessary requirements for South African Citizens travelling to israel (we even checked with the israeli embassy in South Africa and were assured that we should not experience any hassles). Dimitri said that because we landed in Cairo we could not depart egypt from Sharm El Sheikh to go to Tel aviv. To date I cannot find any written statement regarding this law. He then ushered us out of the security gates and assured us someone will come and provide us with further information, however no one came.

We have tried contacting El Al on numerous occasions and have been totally ignored, we cannot find any valid reason why we were not allowed to board this flight. My husband and I saved for years to have the opportunity to visit Israel and we have been scammed by this so called reputable airline. To date, we have not recieved any feedback regarding some kind of reimbursement for being wrongly prevented from boarding this flight.

Surely the airline should have a disclaimer stating this 'law' when booking a flight from Sharm El Sheikh to Tel Aviv.

I do not recommend using this airline. The staff are completely unhelpful and the airline holds no accountability for its actions. Should you experience any difficulties, you will be left stranded.

Auf nachfrage bitte ändern ich bin reisekrank no sorry. Naja 4stunden 10 minuten brechen ,ist ja auch ok.
Nie wieder uns auf keinen faall zu empfehlen.

It's very sad to read these bad reviews, because I have always loved El Al, and yesterday just confirmed my feelings. I reached a real live human being in the London office, who went above and beyond to sort out my booking AND to calm me down (I was very stressed!). She was beyond kind and helpful, and I only wish every business employed someone like her.

(In general, people tend to leave reviews if they're unhappy, but don't bother if they're not. When you think of all the El Al flights in a year compared to the handful of complaints on here, they must be getting something right....)

I used el al because it was the only airline with direct flight from barcelona to tlv that accepts dogs.
And honestly i’m so happy with the treatment i got and help i got when traveling with my pet.
They were all super friendly and made sure i knew they were going to take care of my pet.
I was able to get priority check in so I wouldn’t have to wait in line with my dog.

I am never someone to write reviews and always give people the benefit of the doubt…but I feel obligated is to warn not to book with El Al. The only reason I’m giving it 1 start is because I got to my destination safely. Otherwise, it was a very poor experience overall. I needed to change dates for my trip and it was impossible to get in touch with customer service. Even after days, it was a loop of them telling me to use their WhatsApp and then calling and never getting through. Ended up not being able to change the date which complicated my trip. In-flight staff were rude and overall it was not a pleasant experience on both flights. Please book with a well-established airline.

But no whatsup service, jut a bot and in phone they are not ready to confirm their answer in text...

Nie wieder! Seit 3 Wochen warten wir auf unseren Koffer! Wahrscheinlich ist die Banderole nach dem Einchecken abgegangen und somit hat der Koffer Israel nie verlassen. Er wurde aber gefunden! Und warum auch immer, rücken sie ihn nicht raus und melden tut sich auch keiner mehr von denen! Jeder kann wohl nachempfinden, dass man da kein Vertrauen mehr zu dieser Fluggesellschaft hat oder?

LHR-TLV return. Excellent aircraft and security and that’s where it ends. Inflight service appalling, no alcohol, not even a glass of Wine with the meal, no hot drinks, Tea or Coffee nothing, not even Orange Juice from the land of Jaffa. Suited to Orthodox Jewish travellers maybe, but as for others it’s like it or leave it. Even the ME3 carriers and Garuda cater for travellers of beliefs different to theirs. EL AL, wake up and smell the Coffee, less intransigence and more flexibility please before you are left trailing in other airlines jet streams. Oh, before anyone asks, i have travelled extensively with many carriers from SQ and CX to Aeroflot and Cubana and i do speak impartially.

Ein Tag vor dem Abflug bekommt man eine Einladung zum MobileCheckin. Und erst am Flughafen erfährt man, dass der Flug annulliert ist. Man bekommt keine Informationen und Unterstützung. Es gibt eine Tel. Nummer in Israel wo nur Hebräisch gesprochen wird , auch wenn man die Taste 2 für Englisch eintippt . Die Aufforderung eine entsprechende Kompensation auszuzahlen wird einfach ignoriert. Ich bin auch gar nicht sicher, ob die Tickets selbst erstattet werden. El AL versucht wieder ein Voucher unterzuschieben, obwohl man diese Airline ziemlich meiden will.

If it’s the last thing you do in your life do not fly this airlines, the absolute worst flight attendants, the worst food, the worst check in, everything is just horrible.

I would give them negative stars if I could. El Al owes me stars. They are the most unprofessional airline on the planet.
Customer service is non existent. There is no number in Israel to call to get in contact with someone. They provide support via text, and even then will take a week to get back, despite the fact the system claims to respond within 72 hours. I will never fly with these airline again. They charge you an arm and a leg for the ticket, and femur to rebook, and they make im the process as painfully difficult as possible all along the way. Horrible experience. Never again.

The Worst Airline Service I have ever had in 58 years, Avoid, do not fly El Al.
If there was an option of NO STARS I would have chosen that one.
I was treated very badly by a rude receptionist at the Business Check in Desk, I spent £1600.00 and they wanted to move me to Economy with no explanation, just saying the flight was over booked. When I booked the flight 3 weeks before most of the seats in Business were free and I choose my sit. Someone they knew or someone who payed more money got priority over me, the lady at the counter even shouted at me and the 2 shift managers, Pini Bar and Oron, just lied to my face and did not give me any explanation why was I the only one that had to except being downgraded, I was not even offered any money back, just a flight free flight t0n Europe which was of no use to me, as I NEVER have and NEVER will again fly EL AL, they just give a bad name to Israel and ruined my whole trip.
If you are reading this AVOID EL AL and book instead in British Airways as I always got a FIRST CLASS service with them. I would rather swim to Israel next time than fly with EL AL. TERRIBLE !!!!!!

Just awful attitude of staff. Discourteous, unprofessional and unhelpful doesn't begin to describe how my husband was treated when bumped from booked seat and class on flight at Ben Gurion. Embarrassed for them.

Do not fly with them. Most terrible experience ever.
