Nie erreichbar am Telefon, man verliert Stunden mit einer kleinen Hilfe-Anfrage. Online-Check-in hängt sich auf und man kommt nicht weiter, man verliert unnötig Zeit, es ist absolut kundenunfreundlich. Wahrscheinlich bringt dieser Review dreimal nichts, aus mehrjährigen Erfahrungen war es immer so und ist es heute noch. Unfassbar, dass die Airline überhaupt noch agiert und Kunden hat. Sehr ärgerlich, da mag man EL AL in keiner Weise Supporten. Nächstes Mal fliege ich wieder Swiss - zum K.....!

What a nightmare! first I wanted to change my flight, the customer service changed it but put the wrong destination, it took me 3h to get this sorted. Once it was done the company promised to send me the ticket asap via an email, one week later and I still haven't received my ticket!!! They stopped giving service via WhatsApp and now from abroad I need to call them and so far I waited 30 min and no answer.

I will never EVER book a flight with this company again, they obviously never updated their services to year 2023 and still think they are in the 1980.

They have such a stupid check-in process, and the whole experience should be avoided at all cost

I am traveling a lot and used many airlines, but this one was the Worst! They did not let me board the plane explaining that my security check will take a long time and that I was not on their "lists". They started tellimg me that i came late, but the gate was still open and other people were boarding the plane. I assume they simply sold my seat to someone else and tried to come up with a lame excuse not to let me in. They just closed the gate in front of me and did move me to the next flight which was 12 hours later. I was trying to explain to them that the time for travel is important as I had to make it to my mom's surgery, but the ticketing agents simply were ignorant.

I WILL NEVER FLY WITH EL AL, NOR WILL RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO USE EL AL.

They advised us to get to the airport 3 hours ahead of takeoff and still almost made us miss our flight. The ticketing agents and support staff would let Israeli citizens blatantly cut in front of non-Israeli citizens, and there was a “social queue” where dozens of agents just hung out, ignoring the long lines. I would rather fly United, that’s how bad El Al is, for us non-Israelis.
While my Jewish friend was allowed to go through an expedited line, two female agents spent 20+ minutes and 4 different wands, throwing my clothes (and boxers everywhere for everyone to see, even though my flight was boarding and I still had to go through passport control). They lost my $150 cuff links in the process (or just outright stole them) and would not let me through until I complained very vocally to a male supervisor who was gracious and told the two female bulldogs to leave me the f—-alone so I can make my flight. El Al is the absolute worst. I have never felt so racially discriminated against and I have been to Boston.
There were two German nationals behind me, and one had a cross tattoo. They bullied them more than they did me…

This probably is the worst airline in the world. You try to reach customer support, and you'll wait for the whole day. I tried contacting this airline first, and it took 2 hours to keep listening the song, nothing happened. Then I hung up, and I tried again the following day, same thing. If we could give this airline a minus 1, I would. It is amazing this happens to this middle east airline, considering that they compete against other airlines from the area such as Qatar, Emirates and Etihad. They should try to improve at least the customer support, but seems like they don't care.

Since always, ELAL is the worst company I ever encountered. We as Israelis are hijacked and forced to use this monopoly company. Worst customer service, worst employees, worst schedule. Use any other company other than Elal if you wish to enjoy your vacation... They will ruin it for you, I guarantee. As a fact, it is the only company that doesn't allow change of flights online. It is either to contact customer service that is never reachable below 24 hrs, either receive a cancellation voucher which is very tricky to receive by yourself. Be aware!

If you want to buy and pay a flight ticket, go to the airport on time and organize everything to get your flight and fly but at the end don't be allowed to go on board and take your flight just because the security of el al don't want that so el al is the right airlines. 100% not recommended. the worst airline in the world you can imagine. Don't waste your money , time and nerves with el al.

We flew from Tel Aviv yesterday, and we checked in just fine. Then when we went to get a wheelchair for my daughter, one of the other check-in associates objected to the size of my hand luggage. Remember, 2 minutes earlier, the El Al rep approved my bag. This same bag had flown without any issue on EL AL from Miami 3 weeks earlier. In addition, I have flown over 1 million miles with this same hand luggage without any issues. The second representative was rude and would not listen to reason. Based upon this, we will no longer be flying EL AL, and we go to Israel 2-3 per year.

Un service client qui ne répond jamais! 30min d'attente au telephone pour parler à quelqu'un. Pas digne d'une compagnie internationale

If you board through this airline, be prepared for a very strict security check + being interrogated by the security staff. The process can be quite intimidating, other than staff good experience overall, friendly staff.

Viajé por tercera vez de Barcelona a Bangkok hace unos días con la compañía EL AL Israel Airlines y me quedó una sensación muy agria.

El proceso de checkin online está bien, pero en ningún momento me avisaron que debía pasar igualmente por los mostradores de checkin en el aeropuerto de salida, aún y así, por las dudas, fui.
Hay que comprender que las medidas de seguridad para volar a Israel sean muy altas, aunque sea para usarlo como vuelo de conexión (En mi caso menos de 2h entre el aterrizaje en Israel y el despegue hacia Bangkok).
En el mostrador estuve 10 minutos contestando preguntas que me hacía un chico de la aerolínea, después, el chico intentaba que facturara mi mochila, la cual cumple con las medidas de equipaje de mano. Conseguí, después de miradas extrañas, llevarme la mochila conmigo.

Paso el control de seguridad sin problema, el control de pasaportes también y me dirijo hacia la puerta de embarque (45 minutos antes de la hora de embarcar). Nada más llegar a dicha puerta, por megafonía llaman a 5 personas, entre ellas yo, a mostrador con el objetivo de hacer una prueba de explosivos de todos y cada uno de los ítems que contenía la mochila. Perfecto, lo dicho, hay que comprender las medidas de seguridad y la espera no se demoró demasiado, además el chico que se ocupaba de los controles fue muy cordial.
Una vez te chequean todo el equipaje que ponen pegatinas verdes en la mochila, pasaporte y riñonera (si llevas), en todo el equipaje que lleves encima.

Después puedes embarcar sin problema en el primer avión. El confort de este es poco en comparación a otros aviones que realizan el mismo trayecto hacia Bangkok con sus escalas pertinentes, y el precio del vuelo no fue más barato que otras compañías.

Una vez aterrizados en Tel Aviv, seguí las indicaciones de “vuelos de conexión” y resultó estar cerrado así que debes salir haciendo una interminable cola en los controles de pasaporte y de seguridad y volver a entrar haciendo los controles de pasaporte y de seguridad. Todo estos controles con pocas horas de escala entre un vuelo y el otro, pedí a otros clientes que me cedieran el sitio y poder saltarme la cola que me hubiera demorado más de 30 minutos por control y lo conseguí (gracias). Volví a tener una conversación con una persona de seguridad que me hizo exactamente las mismas preguntas que en Barcelona hacia 5 horas. Volvieron a llamarme para hacerme una prueba de explosivos, esperando más de 30 minutos y yendo lleno de pegatinas verdes que me pusieron en Barcelona.

Al final tuve que correr hasta la puerta de embarque, correr mucho y llegué 10 minutos antes de la hora prevista del despegue. Un buen estrés que llevaba encima.

El confort del segundo avión era mejor que el del primero, aunque lógico porque eran 10 horas de trayecto.
Las azafatas y azafatos se dirigían a ti en hebreo (lógico supongo) y había algun@ que no lo hacía con un tono demasiado amigable.
Las películas estaban muy bien, no estaban en español pero no es necesario, estaban en inglés.
La comida dejó bastante que desear y el desayuno también, todo en comparación a otras veces que he volado tanto de ida como de vuelta a precios similares.

Una vez en Bangkok, a disfrutar de este maravilloso país.

As a 16 yr. old I was DENIED BOARDING to an expensive flight since I "looked to young" to fly on my own! The website clearly states that I was totally allowed to fly on my own. It was a traumatic experience and would seriously hesitate before flying with them again.

I'm glad I flew ELAL for my week long holiday in Tel Aviv. Worth flying them from Heathrow purely because Terminal 4 has a smoking area in the departure lounge - I never knew. Pity Ben Gurion Airport no longer allow smoking but Tel Aviv has smoking bars and cafes. The ELAL Boeing 787 Dreamliner was a smooth flight and both outbound and return arrived ahead of schedule. The only drink is water but I found the hot meal on the outbound flight tasty and I normally avoid Kosher and Halal because I find it bland. I'm unsure if British Airways provide food on a 4 hour flight included in the price of one's ticket. The crew were very kind on ELAL and friendlier I thought than British Airways. The security check at Heathrow was okay and she was very courteous and thanked me for my patience. They tested my hand luggage but I've had far ruder and more annoying security from non-Anglo Saxon staff when I've watched football at Wembley Stadium or done temporary work for Schroders in London. Yes. Dreamliner, smooth ride technology, tasty hot meal, friendly cabin crew - I'm glad I flew ELAL. And Terminal 4 is probably the nicest terminal at LHR with the bonus of a smoking area in the departure lounge.

Lost my luggage, zero support. Only automated whatsapp messages and e-mail with auto reply. Avoid.

Makes you stand in line for 2 hours before boarding actually starts.

Chairs are horrible and has not been maintained for more then 30 years.

Food is absolutely poor, my dog’s food looks and taste better then those week-old sandwichs.

Boarding was late with more then an hour - yet kept letting promises that the landing would be on time. Crew apologized about the delay due to “plane not arriving”.
Only when landed we learned about 2.5h delay, unfortunately it was not updated on their website, so pickups from airports waited for hours.
Why could we get this delay alert earlier?
Why should I care if the previous plan was delayed? Your job it to make sure that there are enough plans, and that flights are on time. You failed measurably at both.

As an Israeli person - I would find it very very hard to book another flight El-Al flights again , even if it would be very significantly cheaper.

I prefer no-kosher but eatable food, rathe then koshered un-eatble left overs

I still wait for the refund for the flight which has been cancelled last minute and more than 6(!) months ago (cancellation email has been attached/forwarded multiple times already).

You cannot always always refer me to trip.com and they refer back to you! This could be deemed fraud what you are doing!

I fly quite often. Mostly for leisure, sometimes for business. At times I fly alone, at times as a couple, or with my kids (I flew with them as young as 5 months old), or with groups of friends.
Since I leave in Israel El Al is a leading option.
It is not the cheapest, so for short flights to Europe I often use low-cost companies. They don't fly during the Sabbath which is actually a convenient time to fly for me. But when I do, they are most often pretty decent. The service is good before and during a flight, flights feel safe, airplanes are modern these days (were quite behind 10 years ago), and it is easy to book. They usually fly on time and my luggage arrive intact.
I use their membership club and now it is a good one (was awful 10 years ago).
I admit I didn't get into big trouble where I got to test their customer support. Not in the last 10 years.

I like this airline (did not like it about a decade back) and so I recommend it. But don't get too excited cause I love my flights cheap and empty :)
