El Al has the best Premium Economy product on this route, US carriers don't compare to the seat pitch, width and comfort, impeccable service from the flight crew , the food served on china, a large selection of IFE, and even the goodie bags. I like the curtain they use to cut off this section from economy. A fantastic warm comfortable experience. Highly recommend!

Had horrible experience with this company. We had our flights booked trough travel agent and we had sits assigned to us. We just had to confirm the sits while check in for the flight. Little did we know that their checkin online is a mess and it it impossible to check in for two passports holder. We tried a bunch of times but it just didn’t work.

Because of that we only were able to check in at the kiosk at the airport where the employee told us that the assigned to us sits were taken and gave us horrible last minute sits in the middle of the rows.While doing that she assured that at least we - I and my husband -will sit together. However when we boarded we realized that not only sits were horribly located there were not together.

During the flight I was sitting in the middle and it was extremely uncomfortable to disturb other passengers when I needed to go to a washroom as I have weak bladder and had to do it pretty often. Therefore when I wanted a cup of tea I asked a flight attendant to bring it to me kindly. I was unpleasantly surprised when she in annoyed manner told me that I need to get up and get it myself in the kitchen. On top of everything I was forgotten when they distributed the meal. For the flight attendant call they only showed up 30 min later when everybody ate already and I had to refuse the meal as it is extremely uncomfortable for me as probably for many other people to have meal in a such tight environment when everybody had already finished it. In overall the crew appeared to be annoyed, tired and cocky 😒. Bottom line - not recommended! Not flying with them ever again!

Pay attention booking tickets with EL Al Airlines, they are selling by Gotogate even they know that transit flights are not allowed in Israel

they sold me a ticket: Barcelona-milan-tel aviv-phuket

This ticket should never have been sold, since it is not possible to transit in Israel due restrictions, something that Gotogate should know and never sell this route

Faced with such a situation, upon arrival in Israel, I was detained at immigration and deported back to Italy, thus losing my connection, destination hotel, prepaid PCR at destination, having to book a new flight, more hotels, new PCR at Italy and new PCR in destination. Without counting all the inconvenience and generation of new documentation

I have spoken with Gotogate and after going through 4 operators, to whom I have had to explain my life, they tell me no

For more indignation, I paid Gotogate for insurance and they told me that this is not covered

I have never filed a complaint, I do not want to do it because of the money that is little, I want to go further since I understand that what has happened to me is an injustice

Let's see if I'm lucky and the fact of being European helps me in this case, I'll go ahed with an official claim

DO NOT USE EL AL. They are complete crooks with absolute disregard for their customers. They actually seems to enjoy being rude and unhelpful.

They don't offer refunds, insist on only a credit voucher.

Then make it inexplicably impossible for you to even use the voucher.

Honestly it is the lowest of the low and they're a complete embarrassment to the state of Israel.

Ignore any cost savings - fly with someone else.

Unfortunately El Al has been behaving with tactics similar to a criminal organisation. I have been chasing since the end of November for a refund, most of the time I have been forced to use their useless WhatsApp service that doesn’t work, they make it near impossible to find email or addresses or phone numbers online , on the rare occasion I have been able to reach them, they put me on hold indefinitely. They are clearly avoiding giving back any customers their money , and for me I consider this akin to theft. I have racked up large phone bills as have been attempting to try resolve this from abroad. This is worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life in any industry and I don’t know how they can still be around and not be shut down with this behaviour.

There is no way to contact EL AL except to get a credit for you ticket. If you want a refund the site keeps offering a credit. There is no phone or web site to reach out to. So even though I don't know how much of a refund I will get I cannot get to anyone to find out what to do. Amazing. The chances of me using El Al again is around zero even though I will need to go to Israel annually. I am not allowed into the country right now so I am forced to cancel my ticket.

We made the mistake of accepting vouchers for cancelled flights during the recent Covid lockdown. We have since tried to book alternative flights but failed each time because at the check out stage we are told that our vouchers are either invalid or used - neither of which is correct.

Today I tried to call a representative to get to the bottom of this and make bookings. After being on hold for exactly two hours I was disconnected. I tried once more and exactly the same thing happened. I have wasted a total of four hours today and hours online trying to rebook flights. You can only imagine how frustrated and angry this whole nonsense has made me.

I am not sure what to do next but if El Al reads this and responds to me personally it would be an unexpected benefit as it is clear their systems are stacked against me despite them holding in excess of £1000 of our money.

If you seek a nightmare this is the perfect airline for you. We make everything as difficult and as troubling as possible for your journey. Whether you are a simple layman or an accomplished criminal we will treat you with the same disrespect and harrasment since we are all equals under G-d. We will make certain you fly with us once and only once- you cannot be such an imbecile to fly with us again. Thank you.

I tried booking online and my card did not go through. I then booked with a different card and it was successful. I kept noticing that ELAL were sending me 2 bookings. They had somehow managed to take the money fron the card that failed and charged me in smaller payments so it would go through and I was charged twice. It took me hours to get to them they don't have a working email, phone and what's app never answers. To make matters worse when I booked the second time I tried booking in installments that also was declined. So I used a different card and it worked. But now I see they are charging me everymonth for the card that was declined. I don't know how they are able to do that. If a card was declined how can they take payment from it????

Waiting to receive my money back for a flight canceled in May 2020. No reply, 0 customer service.

That is the PERFECT EXAMPLE of what a company should not do.

Since the pandemic I only fly ELAL (6 flight). Whenever the Israeli MOH mark a country as orange or red (usely they give only short notice) ELAL offer free and flexible changes to ticket free of charge.
Last week ELAL added a few extra flight from London LHR to Israel in order that all those who require to return before the 30.07.21, can return to Israel on time.

Helpful and nice staff, comfortable Dreamliner plane.
My entry permit (for Israel) was issued on 29.07.21 and when I arrived by Check-In in London Heathrow (on 04.08.21) I found out that all permits issued before 30.07.21 (date the UK was marked as a Black country - corona according to Israeli rules).
At first, I was refused boarding, but then the head of staff approached me and send a picture of our permits to the Israeli border force and obtained a new permit for me.
No other Airline would have been able to sort out a new permit for me.

Never fly this company, they are thieves. Owe me $5000 since June 2020 and not a peep, even after they received $200 million from their government.

Worst company ever!

Have purchased tickets to / from LHR. The flight to LHR on 23 March suddenly moved from 09:05 to 06:00 (!)
Whilst in the UK, the flight back from LHR moved from 09:00 to 15:15 on 4 April, which we could cope with, but then the flight moved to 5 April same 15:15 (!). No compensation, nothing at all: their WhatsApp customer service representative told us we can cancel the flight and receive $295 per ticket back, therefore before cancelling El Al, we have ordered a flight with another operator and then contacted El Al again to cancel. But no! You cannot claim money, but a voucher!

NEVER AGAIN!

1000 euros un classe eco sur un paris tel aviv, avec un morceau de pain et une tranche de fromage pour repas.
